A. I’m falling between the cracks

[After the event that affected the Heavens, Lavi has decided to take it upon himself to distance himself from a few people.

So, people would be able to find Lavi at a park, huddled under a tree. He doesn’t seem to be paying attention to anything in particular, but his usual headband is missing and there’s a silver bird clip currently attached to the collar of his shirt. His eye seems to be focused on a book laid out on his lap, lips moving as he reads what’s on the page.

However, the moment he senses someone coming up to him, the book is slammed shut and he eyes the person almost warily.]

B. The Library Goblins

[Thanks to the pulse or whatever it was, one of the first things Lavi’s done after returning to normal is to inspect the library.

Or rather, inspect the area around it.

He frowns a bit, cupping his chin in thought before he turns to the nearest person.]

Have you seen the goblins? [This is. A very important question since Lavi’s become aware of the goblins the moment they had decided to steal the books back.]

[Duh, Lavi. Idly, he picks up a book on Italy and tucks it under his arm.]

What are you looking for?

[A glance on the book of Italy before he looks away.]

Nothing specific.

[He crouches beside a stack of books, looking over them.]

Mostly just history on Japan in general.

[kokuyoyo]

No particular time period...?

[He flicks through one book, hoping it might go into shinki magic- but no, nothing. He puts it back, biting back a sigh.]

Not at all.

[Lavi peers back at him.]

What about you?

[kokuyoyo]

If I could spellbooks... Or anything on the history of the Heavens.

[Another lazy shrug as he puts back what appears to be a children's book.]

Being strangers.... We don't really know anything about its past.

[lostinshadows]

Anything on Heavens' history is made sure to be kept from us.

[His expression turns slightly frustrated.]

Any specifics to Amaterasu in particularly is made sure to be kept a secret. I've come across a book or two with some pages torn out about it.

[kokuyoyo]

[Well, well, well. With another book in his hands, Chikusa taps his fingers along its cover thoughtfully.]

They're not exactly being subtle, then.... And if they were found out so easily, maybe this place isn't as coincidentally messy as thought.

[Sliding the book back onto a shelf, he browses a few more of the spines and their titles.]

....I wonder if they were smart enough to destroy them.

[lostinshadows]

[He manages a wry grin.]

If they were, then they wouldn't even bother leaving behind evidence.

[Lavi looks through some books himself.]

Or they're stashed in that lock room in the back.

[kokuyoyo]

If it's a library run by goblins, then I imagine that room isn't protected by a mundane lock.

[....Which just means he's thinking on how to break into it.]

It isn't. Already tried pick-locking it and someone attempted to use magic on it.

[Which means there needs to be another alternative.]

[kokuyoyo]

What kind of magic?

[Because if that's the case, well... magic against magic, right?]

[lostinshadows]

[A shrug.]

I'm not familiar with magic in general, so I'm not sure.

[kokuyoyo]

Well then.

[He glances back over at Lavi.]

I guess it's time to see if they tore out pages on magic, then.

[lostinshadows]

[A blink before a grin.]

What do you have in mind?

[kokuyoyo]

Whatever has been put into place can only have two sources if it's in a place like this: a god's ability, or shinki magic.

If we can go through the books on magic here.... Maybe we could find something on it.

[A small- not quite shrug, but sort of tilt of his head.]

If nothing else... We can eliminate possibilities.

[lostinshadows]

That's one way of doing it, I suppose.

[Lavi tilts his head to the side.]

Our next step in action would then to be able to find books on magic here.

[A light gesture to the mess that is the library.]

[kokuyoyo]

Good thing there's nothing to get in the way of us nosing around the library now.

[But then he sighs.]

It's going to take forever organizing this...
