Look around, look around

Who: Izumo and Open
When: Early August
Where: Far Shore, possibly Near Shore.
What: Post-Ablution stuff. Coping with missing friends and returned memories. Izumo doesn't appreciate haunting season.

A. Cnoc Áine - After Shizuo’s Ablution

[After performing the ablution on Shizuo with Chikusa and Goten, Izumo has decided to stick around Yona’s temple to keep an eye on the two. Normally he wouldn’t be around the temple so much, only ever coming and go briefly to visit Shizuo or Yona. He usually sticks to the room that ended up being his, but he’s actually out and about in the temple now.

If he looks a little tired, just pretend that he isn’t instead.

However, anyone around the temple might spot him in the halls or somewhere outside. Come and talk to him? Drink with him?]

B. Double Cross Bar - Memories On A Wall

[The moment he’s learned that Sora and Roxas are gone, Izumo felt a bit—not sad, per se, but something close to it. While he wouldn’t exactly call himself sentimental, he’s decided that putting up a photo wall can be at least one way of keeping memories alive.

So, after a day or two, he puts up a post on the BBS:]

If anyone has any photos of Sora and Roxas, mind if I have a copy? I’m working on a project right now, so I thought it’d be good to start with those two first.

[Anyone who does come to the bar will find Izumo leaning against the counter, focused on a blank wall to the side. He seems thoughtful, though he does glance over at anyone who comes in.]

C. When Will Dreams End? [Closed to Totsuka]

[He sent a text to Totsuka earlier that morning upon awakening. It’s not like how he reacted when he first remembered Anna, but now some things the man has said the few times they’ve met makes sense.

Choosing his bar instead of Mikoto’s temple or Totsuka’s temple was a good place to talk. With it still closed, it gives them the proper privacy they need.

Really, Izumo didn’t enjoy waking up suddenly remembering people from his past life, but it’s even worse now because this time, he’s aware of one fact about the god: he’s dead.

By the time Totsuka comes to the bar, Izumo already has a drink in front of him.]

D. Fade to Black

[It’s August.

It’s summer and it’s haunting season.

So, it’s not surprising that Izumo is being haunted by some ghosts that decides to play with him. Which is why he’s looking fairly unimpressed at a floating lighter, the sounds of childish giggles heard around him.]

Is it okay to leave Yona and Shizuo though?

[And thats still not fair Izumo. You should be proud of him for being clever.]

It'll be fine for a few hours. Those two still have others here who can keep an eye on them.

[It's fair because you're breaking his rules, Goten.]

If you say so. You know them both better then me.

[To the bar then!---also rules are meant to be broken Izumo.]

[ There are more, yes. Many, many more. And most of them are here, somehow, which tells of a gruesome end to Shizume City’s most loyal, and most brutal clan. Meanwhile, Scepter-4 seems to have fared much better, somehow, with vastly fewer numbers...

But rather than taking that as a defeat, Tatara will find that silver lining instead: They’re here, together again, a family eternal. Even if they don’t remember each other yet, they will eventually.

...For better or worse.

With a bittersweet smile, then, on that note-- ] I can’t say.

[ But he drums briefly, lightly on the bar as he lifts his head back up. ] But I’m not going to sweat it. It’s fine; everything will work out somehow!

[ Who knows, maybe Yata will be less angry, and more relieved when his time comes? If it does. But even then, that’s only one of many people accounted for. So, odds are, Tatara’s still up the metaphorical shit creek, owed many more head-punches than hugs. (Thanks for reaffirming that, Izumo. Deeply appreciated.) ]

That’s probably for the best. [ Awkward, nervous laughter here. ] I can’t imagine King will take it well...

[ He pushes himself back upright on his barstool. ]

Ah, I do need to see him soon though, about Johan.

[ Still lugging around that heavy burden? You bet. And while he loves and respects Mikoto more -- if that’s possible -- for helping him bury that heartache properly and bring his clansman closure, he worries.

...Not for Mikoto, no. Hell no. More for everyone who stands in his way. But first, this: A hand on his elder’s shoulder, and a sincerely concerned look from Tatara, for once, with brows upturned and knitted beneath ash blond fringe. ]

...Will you be okay, Kusanagi-san?

It probably is.

[ Despite her sheepish expression, it also doesn't look like she's about to stop. ]

I'll try not to worry too much, then.

[ The key word here is 'try'. But distraction would also be appreciated. ]

[Aymeric didn't know Roxas very well but he did know Sora. He was one of those whom he felt comfortable telling closer matters to his heart to other than Leo and Goten to an extent. So when the message comes across the BBS, he remembers something he had said to Izumo before. As for directions to the bar...thank Goten.

So don't mind Aymeric arriving at the place with a bottle of wine in one hand. It's top shelf, don't worry.]

Apologies for not responding to the message but I had none of the documents you seek. But I do recall mentioning about owing you a drink.

Okay...now you.

[ He shuffles over, hand reaching out for the camera. ]

Hmm? I've never seen that before, either.

[He watches the lighter for a second—at least it hasn't decided to throw itself at things.]

...Izumo. [He remembers pretty much everything from when he got ageified, but he also had a hard time remembering anything while he was twenty, so—] Did I say anything weird the last time we met?

[Normally it wouldn't bother him in the slightest, but doing weird things that he doesn't remember is a different story...]

[The spirit is enjoying this lighter far too much, waving it around and trying to light it. After a few false clicks it manages it and produces a small flame- one that lasts just long enough for Sharak Sanzo to lean down and light her cigarette.]

Children shouldn't be playing with fire.

[There's a childish gasp in response to the scolding and the lighter darts away, as if the spirit is trying to protect it's prize. Sharak straightens up and takes a drag from her cigarette. Here she came to check out that bar Shizuo and Goten couldn't stop talking about and this is what she finds.]

[Izumo looks a bit bemused by the fleeing lighter, but he doesn't give chase.

Instead, he gives a nod to Sharak in greeting.]

Nice to see you, Sharak.

[Sorry for the playing spirits.]

[Izumo lifts a hand in greeting to Aymeric, a smile on his face.]

That's fine. Another person named Hajime has a lot of pictures for me to look at.

[He gestures for the god to come sit at the bar while he gets a couple of glasses.]

But you came at a good time.

I never had reason to show it to you.

[He's still eying that lighter. That's his lighter, after all.

But a blink at the question and he glances over at him.]

...Weird as in how?

[Izumo smiles a bit, giving her a head pat.]

Well then, how about we keep your mind off of it?

[Just a hair ruffle.

But going to the bar does take some time, but they made it!

And the first thing Izumo does is show Goten the second floor.]

[Izumo hands the camera over to him.]

You always say that, too.

[A huff but there's no bite to it.

Izumo's expression shifts a bit. While he might not know what kind of relationship Totsuka and Mikoto shared exactly, all he knows is that he doesn't want his god to know about him remembering Totsuka yet. He will find out eventually, but now wasn't the time for him to.

After all, he's perfectly aware of what Mikoto and Totsuka has been up to, with the manhunt for Johan's killer.

It's why he hasn't exactly chosen to partake in that hunt yet, and he knows there are plenty of people here who could give Totsuka more information than he could right now.

Best not to interrupt it.]

Haven't found a lead yet?

[It's never easy to lose a love, especially for someone like Totsuka who never seemed to really attach himself to anyone or anything.

He lifts his head when he feels that hand on his shoulder, looking at the younger man. For a moment, he doesn't say anything, wondering if he should smile and wave it off or actually be honest for once.]

I will be.

[Seeing the name on this BBS post, Munakata recalls meeting Kusanagi roughly two weeks ago. Kusanagi seems like a reasonable man who could get on with Reisi well enough. He also seems to know Fushimi, who'd discussed his red and blue powers on the BBS over a week ago. Munakata had noticed their conversation went quiet for some moments when they presumably changed to private settings, but he's curious to know whether the other man had mentioned him.

Additionally, Suoh is Kusanagi's god. Although it's something Reisi has vested interest in, there's potential danger in pursuing this interest. However, it isn't exactly easy to get anything straight from Suoh.

It can't hurt just to talk to the other man, right? Besides, he can always ask about the photo project if nothing else.

So he looks up where to find Kusanagi, and it doesn't take long to come across Bar HOMRA. A bell chimes when Munakata pushes through the door, his gaze going to the bar to see Kusanagi there, as expected. He offers a small smile before moving to take a seat at the counter.]

Izumo Kusanagi. What an elegant place you have here.

[He hops off Nimbus when they get there, stumbling just a little because what is walking again? It's so weird to have his body feeling so heavy and sluggish. He's never really been out of energy. Even in training he never hit almost empty.

But he trails after Izumo quickly, going up the stairs and perking up]

It's big!

Sora helped me with that! I wouldn't let him anyway, its too cute!

[He pats the big binders of photos.]

I donno if you got time to go through it all now or if you just wanted Roxas and Sora pics but I can leave it will you for a day or so. Then you can pick and choose what you want!

[Heck, there might even a few snap shots of Izumo in there. Hajime tried to catch pictures of everyone during the last couple of events]

How are you fairing?

[If he gets the glasses, Aymeric can pour the liquor. It's the least he can do.]

[ He takes it and fiddles with it a bit, checking out the settings, before setting them to something and pointing it at Izumo ]

Ready?

I'll be right there!

[ And she is, teleporting to just outside a moment later, her phone clutched in her hand. She peeks her head in the door, searching for him with a shy smile. ]

Izumo?

[ She laughs softly at the pat to her head, glancing up at him curiously, her smile fond. ]

Did you have something in mind?

Heh, is that a good thing?

[He holds up his hands.] If you have to ask, then I probably didn't, right?

...I was just a little worried. I couldn't remember much while I was like that.

[He's not sure if Munakata actually wanted him to mention him during his talk with Fushimi, but in the end, he didn't really mention him - not by name, anyway. It's Fushimi. He's able to figure it out.

But Izumo is a bit surprised when he sees Munakata entering, giving the other shinki a smile in greeting.]

I'm glad you think so.

[It's still a bit under renovations, so hope you don't mind the mess too much.]

How've you been doing, Munakata?
