A. Cnoc Áine - After Shizuo’s Ablution

[After performing the ablution on Shizuo with Chikusa and Goten, Izumo has decided to stick around Yona’s temple to keep an eye on the two. Normally he wouldn’t be around the temple so much, only ever coming and go briefly to visit Shizuo or Yona. He usually sticks to the room that ended up being his, but he’s actually out and about in the temple now.

If he looks a little tired, just pretend that he isn’t instead.

However, anyone around the temple might spot him in the halls or somewhere outside. Come and talk to him? Drink with him?]

B. Double Cross Bar - Memories On A Wall

[The moment he’s learned that Sora and Roxas are gone, Izumo felt a bit—not sad, per se, but something close to it. While he wouldn’t exactly call himself sentimental, he’s decided that putting up a photo wall can be at least one way of keeping memories alive.

So, after a day or two, he puts up a post on the BBS:]

If anyone has any photos of Sora and Roxas, mind if I have a copy? I’m working on a project right now, so I thought it’d be good to start with those two first.

[Anyone who does come to the bar will find Izumo leaning against the counter, focused on a blank wall to the side. He seems thoughtful, though he does glance over at anyone who comes in.]

C. When Will Dreams End? [Closed to Totsuka]

[He sent a text to Totsuka earlier that morning upon awakening. It’s not like how he reacted when he first remembered Anna, but now some things the man has said the few times they’ve met makes sense.

Choosing his bar instead of Mikoto’s temple or Totsuka’s temple was a good place to talk. With it still closed, it gives them the proper privacy they need.

Really, Izumo didn’t enjoy waking up suddenly remembering people from his past life, but it’s even worse now because this time, he’s aware of one fact about the god: he’s dead.

By the time Totsuka comes to the bar, Izumo already has a drink in front of him.]

D. Fade to Black

[It’s August.

It’s summer and it’s haunting season.

So, it’s not surprising that Izumo is being haunted by some ghosts that decides to play with him. Which is why he’s looking fairly unimpressed at a floating lighter, the sounds of childish giggles heard around him.]

[A bit of a pause.

Then Izumo looks amused.]

Haunted pillows aren't the worst of it. It definitely sounds aggravating, at least.

[Pillows are extremely dangerous creatures, he'll have you know.]

[...But it's better than what he thought came out of the lighter, at least; he doesn't really want to find out what a burn feels like.]

It's true that I may have gotten off lucky... Didn't feel like it at the time, though. [Not that they gave him much grief, but it was a bit of surprise at first.] Heh, guess I shouldn't start pillow fights.

Not unless you want to have a pillow fight with ghosts.

[He gives a shrug, playing with his lighter.]

At least it's just pillows possibly smacking you.

Throwing pillows at ghosts sounds kind of fun, but...they're pretty much cheating. I wouldn't mind that handicap if I could make it up with something else, though. [Heh.]

[As for the pillow-smacking...]

Someone else said that to me, too... [Does he have the kind of face that people want to throw things at? (don't answer that)] It'd be tragic if I got scarred, so I'm grateful for that much.

Just gotta get creative with it.

[He shrugs.]

You just might have bad luck when it comes to people or ghosts smacking things at you. So, no need to get too angry at the ghosts.

Haha, did I sound angry? It's not that, really.

I guess it's just the season. [He folds his arms with a bit of a smile.] If I couldn't communicate in any way but possessing things, I guess I'd do it, too.

[He eyes something over Fubuki's shoulder before he looks back at the other shinki.]

Don't you? [Just a little?] At the very least, I wouldn't want to not have someone to talk to. Even in vessel form, we...

[He trails off, then turns around.] Did you see something? [...Did you see another ghost trying to sneak up on him]

[When Fubuki trails off, understanding flickers in Izumo's eyes.]

It can be lonely, can't it?

[But he does give a nod as bicycle seems to be heading towards them.]

A bicycle.

[Ah, a bicycle. Of course.]

...Let's get out of its way. Even if it is lonely, that's a little rude.

[He isn't that sympathetic, and he is not a fan of bruises.]

Think you can smile at it again...?

[Izumo pauses, giving Fubuki a bit of a look in disbelief.]

You think my smiles will work on it twice?

[He's not some miracle worker.]

Why wouldn't they? [he says cheerfully]

I think it's getting flustered by you. [That totally explains why it came back, you see] That's not something you build an immunity to!

You have a lot of confidence in my smiles.

[Really, he's more tempted to burn the thing.]

It might want a bit of revenge.

Better than the alternative! [What alternative?? It's a secret.]

I can think of better ways to get revenge than a bicycle. See, it got wheels so it could chase you! [Because the ghost can make things float by possessing them, you see, his logic is airtight]

[He glances at the bicycle, though.] It's, er... Revving up... [How does a non-motorized bicycle rev up? ...Look, he's just reporting what he sees.] Really not going to give it a try?

There's an alternative?

[He doesn't believe it.

But he does see the bicycle revving up so to speak. It's almost enough to have him sigh.]

I'd rather not, especially if it won't work a second time.

There's always an alternative.

But if you're not going to do it, then we should go. Even if it's in affection—[because he's still not letting that go]—getting hit by it seems like it would be pretty painful!

...Do you have anything that could be bait? [fubuki comes up with the best ideas clearly]

Then maybe we can try another alternative.

[Sighing softly, he flicks the lighter in his hand and a few fireballs suddenly pop out, forming a protective ring around the two shinki before it aims at the bicycle.]

[He watches with some surprise. Is that why Izumo had wanted the lighter back? ...Wait, no, that's the wrong thing to focus on right now.]

...Can they feel that, do you think?

[It's pretty cold-hearted to hurt your admirer, Izumo!!]

[But...] If it was in your lighter, do you think it actually likes that feeling? It might be warm in there!
