A. Cnoc Áine - After Shizuo’s Ablution

[After performing the ablution on Shizuo with Chikusa and Goten, Izumo has decided to stick around Yona’s temple to keep an eye on the two. Normally he wouldn’t be around the temple so much, only ever coming and go briefly to visit Shizuo or Yona. He usually sticks to the room that ended up being his, but he’s actually out and about in the temple now.

If he looks a little tired, just pretend that he isn’t instead.

However, anyone around the temple might spot him in the halls or somewhere outside. Come and talk to him? Drink with him?]

B. Double Cross Bar - Memories On A Wall

[The moment he’s learned that Sora and Roxas are gone, Izumo felt a bit—not sad, per se, but something close to it. While he wouldn’t exactly call himself sentimental, he’s decided that putting up a photo wall can be at least one way of keeping memories alive.

So, after a day or two, he puts up a post on the BBS:]

If anyone has any photos of Sora and Roxas, mind if I have a copy? I’m working on a project right now, so I thought it’d be good to start with those two first.

[Anyone who does come to the bar will find Izumo leaning against the counter, focused on a blank wall to the side. He seems thoughtful, though he does glance over at anyone who comes in.]

C. When Will Dreams End? [Closed to Totsuka]

[He sent a text to Totsuka earlier that morning upon awakening. It’s not like how he reacted when he first remembered Anna, but now some things the man has said the few times they’ve met makes sense.

Choosing his bar instead of Mikoto’s temple or Totsuka’s temple was a good place to talk. With it still closed, it gives them the proper privacy they need.

Really, Izumo didn’t enjoy waking up suddenly remembering people from his past life, but it’s even worse now because this time, he’s aware of one fact about the god: he’s dead.

By the time Totsuka comes to the bar, Izumo already has a drink in front of him.]

D. Fade to Black

[It’s August.

It’s summer and it’s haunting season.

So, it’s not surprising that Izumo is being haunted by some ghosts that decides to play with him. Which is why he’s looking fairly unimpressed at a floating lighter, the sounds of childish giggles heard around him.]

[ She looks suitably impressed. ]

Did it take you a long time to learn?

[Izumo looks thoughtful.]

Not particularly. Then again, it all seemed familiar to me, so I just went with my instincts on where to go.

[The life of a shinki.]

[ She opens her mouth to say something before abruptly closing it again, smiling cheerfully instead because nope, she's not touching that. ]

Ahh, I see! Well, that is very useful indeed! At least there is one of us not completely overwhelmed by how big it is. What should we do while we're here, then?

[He holds back a smile.]

Well, I was thinking we could go out and explore the city. Shizuo's told me he's taken you to a few places, but it'd be fun to take you to one of the malls here so you can see what kind of stuff they have here now.

[Izumo grins at her.]

And once you're comfortable, take you to an amusement park.

He took me to try ice cream and milkshakes! [ Her smile brightens at that, glancing up at him. ] They were delicious!

[ Of course most of Shizuo's tours so far have ended up in food, but he'd also taken her to Izumo's bar. Which she could at least find on her own now. ]

I would enjoy seeing more of the city. I don't know what a mall is, though. Or an amusement park? How is that different from a normal park? I've seen those.

I'm glad you enjoy them so much. Maybe I should introduce you to some more desserts, too.

[Shizuo, you and food.

He gently directs her to a view where they can get a good glimpse of some of the bigger buildings and what seem to be rollercoasters in the distance.]

An amusement park is more than a normal park. There are these rides that you can go on called rollercoasters. It usually stretches high into the air and goes at a fast speed that makes you feel like you're flying.

[ She can see the strangely shaped structures and her mouth drops open at the strange sight of them, tall and twisting. ]

Are they faster than cars?

They are.

[He chuckles.]

Ah, I see!

[ She looks excited by this prospect. ]

I've been wanting to see what that was like!

Then next time, I'll be sure to take you on some of those.

Alright! I'll look forward to it. They're not dangerous, are they?

[ Not that that would mean she would decline, but she happens to have a number of very overprotective shinki and guardians lurking about that might need appeasing depending on his answer. ]

It comes with its own fair share of dangers, but they're relatively safe.

[A playful wink.]

We just don't tell your bodyguards that I might be taking you on something dangerous.

[ That gets a quiet laugh from her. ]

Somehow I don't think any of them would approve of that idea.

[ That's still not a no, though. In fact, she looks a little excited. ]

No, but it won't stop me from taking you still.

[ Her eyes light up but her smile softens at that, leaning her arms on the railing and looking back out over the city once more. ]

That's a risky gamble, Izumo. But I am not likely to complain. It sounds like an adventure.

I do my best to please.

[He gives her a little teasing bow (see: icon)]

Adventures are always fun to have, even with the risks added to it.

[ That gets a bubble of laughter from her and she dips into a playful but polite bow in response, tucking her curls behind one ear. ]

I can't really argue with that. Although this is a much more pleasant risk than it could be.

[Izumo grins.]

I'll do my best to make sure you enjoy yourself.

[ She smiles and reaches out to pat his arm fondly. ]

That is something you don't have to try very hard at. I enjoy your company. Thank you for being so patient with me.

No need to thank me for that.

[He has the patience of a goddamn saint.]

[ He really does. ]

But I will anyway, because it's important to me. And this has been wonderful, Izumo. Thank you for bringing me to see such wondrous things.

Any time, Yona. I'm always happy to show you more about the world.

Well, as there seems to be a great deal to see, that might keep you occupied for some time.

It's good to stay occupied. At least my attention won't be completely devoted to my job.

All work and no play...? [ She smiles at that, amused. ] I suppose a few diversions would be good for me, as well.
