[A. August 17th - Afternoon]

[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.

Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.

It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.

”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”

His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]

Sisi, wait!

[B. I Lost You Again]

[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.

The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]

Damn it, Allen.

[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.

He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]

Damn it.

[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]

[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.

He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!

[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

[Lavi holds Sisi in his arms, quickly following after her.

While he's sure that the idea of food is supposed to be comforting in some way, he'll be honest in admitting on getting the chance to see how Hakkai's temple actually looks like.]

[Ayumu's content to walk in companionable silence; even her footsteps don't make much sound, if any at all, as she leads the way to what appears to be a Chinese-style small town shop constructed from brick. It's two stories and surrounded by a ten-foot wall, with a plain balcony visible on the on the second front. As far as temples go, it's very modest and humble but Ayumu likes that about it; she wouldn't be as comfortable living anywhere fancy.]

Well, here we are. I'll get the gate.

[Ayumu swiftly moves forward to unlatch the gate.]

We have animals here but I don't think they'll be a problem.

[Ayumu seems to be good with animals, anyway. She's confident she can calm them if she needs to.]

[The temple does earn a bit of look, though in a way, it doesn't surprise him so much, finding that it fits the god and shinki pair to an extent. Then again, it's also entirely fitting for the god Hakkai had assumed under, too.

He tilts his head.]

They're not going to chase after Sisi, are they?

[Sisi seems a bit wary himself, sticking close to Lavi.]

I don't think so. Jeep seems to be making headway with them. But if that's a concern, we have a meditation garden we can go to. It's quite peaceful and relaxing. There's a lot of ducklings and a fish but nothing that will chase either of you.

[She graces them both with a warm, gentle smile and continues inside to the building. Despite its narrow, rather compact appearance, the inside is surprisingly spacious and airy. All in all, there's a recuperative aura to the building, fitting for the home of a god of healing.

And thankfully, no animals are there to greet them just then.]

If you two would prefer the garden, I can show you the way and you can get settled while I see what I can find in the kitchen.

I just want to make sure nothing would chase Sisi around here....or that Sisi could chase himself.

[He looks down at the corgi as the dog looks around and sniffs curiously.]

Would it to be too much trouble to explore a bit on my own? [A pause as he realizes how hefty the question could be and:] I promise not to enter any of the rooms, though.

[It is a hefty question and one that gives her pause. Trust doesn't come to her easily and letting someone explore the grounds freely feels a little suspicious. But she can't both be in the kitchen and supervise him at the same time and she did promise a meal so finally she nods slowly. Besides, giving him a bit to relax and look around might help his emotional state.]

Sure. I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything. It's right over there.

[Ayumu points in the direction of the kitchen.]

Alright.

[He gives her a tiny, grateful smile. He knows it's a lot to ask for, so he's more determined to simply just stay out of the rooms in general. He doesn't want to break her trust, and he's in no mood to deal with Hakkai in his current state.]

...Is there anything in particular I should avoid?

Well, the upstairs is our living quarters and I'm not sure how Hakkai-sama would feel about visitors up there. The cats might be up there, too, so it might be best to stick to downstairs until I can ask him if it's okay.

[She thinks, tapping her chin thoughtfully.]

Everywhere downstairs should be fine but if you look in the medicine room, don't touch any of the jars of medicine. But if you're curious about the books on the shelves, you can look at them. Just be careful with the pages since some of them are pretty old.

[They're also in Chinese but that's slipping her mind at the moment.]

Got it.

[Don't worry about it being in Chinese. Lavi's fluent in it.]

I guess just yell when the food is ready then? I don't think I'll wander too far.

'Kay. I'll do that. Have fun.

[She smiles once more at the pair and heads off to the kitchen.]

Come on, Sisi.

[And with that, the pair of them will explore the temple grounds until Ayumu calls out to them.]

[It takes a little while for Ayumu to call for him but when Lavi enters, he'll find that she's set the dining table for a proper meal with an artfully arranged platter of rei shabu. It one of the newer dishes she's learned to make: a cold salad-like dish with sliced pork, cucumber, daikon, carrot, and tomato. It looks nice enough to her but she's a little unsure if Lavi will like it or if it'll fill him up but hopefully it will. There's a small container of sesame dressing on the table as well in addition to a steaming cup of green tea.

As for Sisi, she's set aside a second platter with the same sliced pork and a bowl of water on the floor near Lavi's seat.]

This is quite a feast, Ayumu.

[He sounds in awe.

Lavi hasn't really had a proper feast. He doesn't eat a lot himself and with his basic cooking skills, he doesn't try to make anything extravagant.

But he tilts his head, sniffing curiously.]</small. It smells good.

I hope it tastes good. I haven't quite mastered this dish yet, I think! But I like to cook and seem to know my way around a kitchen.

[She blushes just a little at his tone but certainly looks pleased.]

I wanted to make sure Sisi got plenty to eat, too.

What dish is it?

[It looks somewhat comfortable.

Sisi looks pleased, yipping happily.]
