[A. August 17th - Afternoon]

[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.

Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.

It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.

”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”

His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]

Sisi, wait!

[B. I Lost You Again]

[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.

The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]

Damn it, Allen.

[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.

He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]

Damn it.

[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]

[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.

He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!

[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

[ She might be unaware of her instincts showing through, but Hannah isn't unaware of the change in language with how the snakes and Lavi are.

When the snakes eventually go into the air and disperse, there's the slightest shift in her shoulders as the red eye goes back to its original blue color. Or is it that the red is the original? It'd be hard to tell. Though her survivor instincts had her tense up, right now the way she was acting had Hannah smiling with amused relief. ]

It looks like they can have quite a personality.

They definitely can be a bit of a pain to handle if I'm not concentrating enough.

[They move according to Lavi's will, but equip-type Innocence always has that double-edged sword of hurting the user as well. He had to think really hard enough not to get himself burned with that display.]

Should I have been worried?

[ After all, you certainly looked to be concentrating quite a bit, but she's not forgetting those hissing sounds the flames made. ]

...Probably a little bit.

[He would have been more concerned if the snakes did end up going after her, to be honest.]

[demonsheath]

Then you've put me in quite an awkward position, Lavi. If I should have been worried, there are questions I promised not to make.

[lostinshadows]

Ah, my apologies.

[He gives her a grin.]

[demonsheath]

[ Apologies, huh? Well, there's one question she can ask, given his choices and that grin. ]

Were you trying to test me in some way?

[lostinshadows]

Yes.

[At least Lavi doesn't hold back in answering.]

If you reacted in some way, then maybe I'd get an idea as to what it is about you that makes me wary of you so much.

[demonsheath]

[ She can appreciate the honesty, especially after talking about people being two-faced before. Also, given that she didn't know that her body had responded, all she could do was apologize. ]

I don't believe I can apologize for not providing you with more answers or reasons to that. It seemed safer to just stay in place.

It's enough to help me a bit to get a better understanding.

I suppose it crosses over to that promise to ask how?

[ Because she thought that would be a separate curiosity. ]

[lostinshadows]

Just a bit, but instincts are really something to be afraid of when you think about it.

[His curiosity mixes together.]

I suppose they really can be. Still, I'll do my best to refrain from pushing the matter further.

[ Apparently so, and she's doing her best to behave the best she can. ]

[He chuckles.]

Thank you for that.

Though I do hope that when you have answers, you'll fill me in on it. Even if it's only a small portion of those answers.

[ If people are just getting the instinct to not trust her, Hannah wants to know why. ]

I will. It's only fair that I do, isn't it?

Yes, though I know fair isn't required, but a choice that is up to you to make.

[ Which is why she said that she understood if Lavi said he'd rather not. That was the kind of person Hannah was showing herself to be. ]

Hm.

[Lavi really does look at her for a moment, but then he smiles.]

I try my own best to be fair.

[demonsheath]

Which is what really shows the kind of person you are.

[ So, while he's dangerously curious at times, Lavi showed himself kind enough to be fair, even when his instincts say not to trust someone. ]

Should I consider that to be a good thing?

[Really, the most dangerous thing about Lavi is his curiosity.]

With what was just being mentioned, how could it be seen as something bad?

[ Oh, she's certainly seen a taste of that already. ]

[lostinshadows]

You never know - there could always be a double meaning in words.

[And Lavi is paranoid.]

[demonsheath]

Would you feel better if there was a double meaning? I was intending it as a standard observation.

Don't take my words too seriously. I am acting on instinct around you, after all.

I feel like that's when I should take it seriously. It sounds like it'd be your honest reaction and responses.
