[A. August 17th - Afternoon]

[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.

Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.

It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.

”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”

His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]

Sisi, wait!

[B. I Lost You Again]

[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.

The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]

Damn it, Allen.

[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.

He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]

Damn it.

[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]

[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.

He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!

[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

It's called Innocence.

[A glance over. Please don't make fun of the name.]

[Shun is definitely raising his brow even further at that name, but he also figures with a name like that, it's probably something from Lavi's world. He might have to be careful how he words his inquiries, though.]

What else do you know about it?

It's used to kill Akuma. Something similar to an ayakashi, I suppose, except that Akuma are made by wishes from people who want to bring back their loved ones.

[He looks down at the hammer.]

There are two types of Innocence.

Two? [He's almost deliberately ignoring the part about how these monsters are made, because it hits a little too close to home for him.]

So you use it to do basically the same thing as someone would do with you in this place. [It feels like there's a certain irony to that.]

Parasitic and equip type.

[Lavi manages a wry grin.]

Basically, except that the Innocence choose us instead of the other way around. If we're not compatible, bad things happen.

[With a type called something like "parasitic", Shun can only imagine the kind of bad things that might happen if someone wasn't compatible with that, and a faintly concerned expression crosses his face briefly.]

I'm guessing the compatibility doesn't change once they've settled on someone. [Don't mind him, just making sure Lavi isn't going to get somehow killed by his own hammer.]

.....It changes.

[His expression shifts a bit. Remembering that he's an Exorcist again also means that he's remembered some important bits about Innocence compatibility with its Exorcist. None of it is good.]

Like I said, the Innocence has a mind of its own practically. If its user does something it doesn't approve of, there's a chance the compatibility will decrease and it'll just end badly for the user involved. [He left it vague in the sense that it might be better for Shun not to know what a Fallen is.]

[That is not in the least bit reassuring, and Shun eyes Lavi off for a few moments, trying to decide how to word his question a bit less directly than he'd like to.]

Does someone using one know what it "doesn't approve of"? [He would just ask Lavi if he knows about his, but that seems a bit too risky if he didn't have that information. Not to mention he gets the sense that Lavi is being intentionally vague about some of these details.]

[He shrugs.]

It differs between different people, so I can't say for sure.

[Look Shun. He's sure if he told you the truth, you wouldn't appreciate him turning into a monster.]

[Not being told the truth isn't making him appreciate the situation any more. There's a definite annoyed frown on Shun's face, but he prefers not to try and pry information that potentially sensitive out of people unless he has to.]

Watch yourself, then. Getting hell from your own weapon is the last thing anyone needs.

[Fair is fair, right? Unless Lavi begins to experience some downfalls of having his Innocence back, he'd rather not tell him anything yet.

So, he gives a nod.]

[There's a faint hum from Shun that might be acceptance or might be an expression that he doesn't quite believe Lavi's word on that particular matter, but for the moment, at least, he should be getting back to what he was doing. He at least trusts that Lavi's competent enough not to screw it up in the space of one day.]

I have a patrol to get back to. Try not to set anything on fire. [It's inconvenient when he doesn't have a power that easily deals with that.]

[He cracks a grin at him.]

I'll try not to.

[For all he knows, he might have a Water seal to help or use the Wood seal for the weather control.]

[While Shun eyes Lavi off a moment longer, he eventually nods slightly and turns away to head back to his patrol. At least he might have the elemental means to put any fires he starts out before anyone else has to deal with it.]
