You Are Invited (Open)
Who: Sansa Stark/Dali & Open
What: Party!
When: September 6th
Where: Dali's Temple.
Warnings: TBD
❅ (Come) ❅
The path leading to Dali's tower is lined with softly flickering lanterns. You might encounter a small goat with a bell collar as you walk, but do not worry; he is only curious. The sound of music will swell as you near the tower's doors and within there is a large room, lit by glowing hearths and candlelight. Around the room's edge, there are tables ladened with food and plenty of places to sit. And, if you require a more private venue, there are smaller tables on the second floor.
Flower garlands are draped along the walls and there is a nook with a real tree. Do not be surprised to find other animals wandering about, either. While Sansa is rather fastidious and tidy, her experience as Dali has helped her appreciate nature so much more. She does not wholly mind cleaning up after her furred visitors, though, strangely, they all seem to mind their manners fairly well.
❅ (Be Merry) ❅
Once a crowd has gathered and the music is in full swing, Sansa will encourage her visitors to do as they please. Do not be frightened if you are pulled into an impromptu dance! Otherwise, let the wine flow, partake of any dishes that catch your fancy and try not to do anything that will damage her tower.

It's rolling past right now....

"Did you make a friend?" she leans down to pet over her little goat, smiling curiously at the stuffed animal, "Hello?"

A faint whirring sound might be heard by the head. So maybe it does make noise, after all?

[Davesprite didn't initially answer Sansa's call considering she'd asked for "bards", which doesn't quite describe the kind of music he plays. Chikusa had kind of volunteered him for it, though, and he wasn't going to refuse once he was actually contacted.
So for a medium-length set, a certain neon orange bird guy with a sword through him takes the stage with a set of turntables, a computer, and all the odds and ends one needs to get some good electronic music happening. The songs he taps and spins out over the course of the performance, playing the turntables and soundboards as skillfully as any instrument, vary from understated breather tracks in a slow, quiet pace, to intense but melodic, all the way up to fast-paced music aimed at getting people moving. There's something for everyone, and no words are needed to get across the feel of the music.
Davesprite himself will be taking genre requests, and though he's got his headphones firmly on, if anyone approaches the DJ stand, he'll take them off to say hi. He doesn't really need them, they just make things more intuitive.]
I'm hoping this is a request or a social call, because any complaints are being taken by my reliable associate the trash can until the set is over.
--
[B: Merriment]
[After his turn on stage, Davesprite ends up lying around on a couch in the main hall area, having swiped a large bottle of apple juice and a bowl of fancy seed crackers from the food tables. He's just being lazy and using his telekinesis to lift one of the crackers towards his mouth when the start a particularly good song catches his attention, and he turns his head. The chance in focus flicks the cracker in that direction, more than likely hitting someone in the head.]
Whoops. [He doesn't sound that sorry, but he also doesn't sound like he doesn't care at all. His large sunglasses make it kind of hard to tell, admittedly.] I'm just gonna pass that off as declaring myself official cracker distributor, okay, you get a cracker sample and let's never speak of this again.
B
Um, sure.
Nice shot, though.
no subject
[And he's just going to telekinetically drop one of the crackers into his mouth properly this time.]
So, what are your thoughts on party central here.

[Chikusa has finally abandoned his food from where he'd curled up in a corner, just listening and occasionally tapping notes on his computer. If Davesprite hadn't been here, Chikusa's recommendation ignored, he'd probably have grabbed food for him and Ken and then left. There's only so much free food can motivate him for.]
[It's been... interesting listening to more of the music that Davesprite can compose, really listening to it and focusing on nothing else. He tilts his head down to the equipment.]
...Seems like it's working out.

Yeah, trash can fucking loves his job, all the paper and ink you can eat. [As for the actual set, though, that might also be a thing he should remark on.] It's going pretty well, yeah. Wasn't sure how well the audience would take, but they're still dancing, so I'm guessing I didn't fuck up bad enough to chase anyone out.

OTA
[Maria's just doing the one song tonight, but even one song from her is something she wants to leave an impact. It's always nice getting to perform for an audience here, and it had taken her a little time to practice her song for tonight.
It's been a few days now, and she's quite sure of it - Tsubasa is gone, back to their world, and back to whatever fate awaits her there. It's painful to even think about, but Maria has to continue looking forward without her, and as such, she thinks of this performance as a parting call to her.
Adapting a duet is a little difficult, but Maria has done it before. And this time, it's just her and Tsubasa's song. So she steps up to the stage and begins with a strong melody that only gets more upbeat and powerful as the song carries on.]
...So at least I'll sing,
"I love you."
Even if the world is a terrible hell...
[There's a determination to her performance, a desire to engrave it in everyone's memory, and it carries into her voice and throughout the dance hall.
Once the song is over, she can be found to the side of the stage area, running her fingers through the short, ruffled skirt of her dress with a preoccupied air.]
--
[B: Dancefloor]
[Once she's had some time to wind down from her performance, Maria sets out onto the dancefloor. Dancing alone is nice for a while, but eventually, she finds herself more and more interested in finding someone else to dance with, and she scans the sides of the dance area to catch anyone who looks like they might be on the fence.
Walking over confidently, she offers them a hand.]
I'm thinking it's about time I shared a dance with someone else. Would you mind?
A
You have a gift, Lady Maria. (She notices the preoccupation and steps closer, head tilting.) Was I wrong in sensing some sadness behind your song?
no subject
Thank you. And...no, you weren't. [She muses for a moment on how much to say before deciding to come clean. Tsubasa is no longer in danger from it, no matter how much she says.] In my world, that song was a duet. The person who would have sung it with me was here for a while as a shinki, but she disappeared these few days past.

Look, I know what you're thinking: "she looks out of place anywhere." But I mean especially here.]
I suppose not. This is not usually my forte. [She at least can fake elegant movements by flying.]
no subject
A lot of people say that, but it's rare that someone has absolutely no ability to dance. [Maria offers a hand. The current song, at least, is slow and fairly easy to follow along.] Just doing what feels right to the beat is fine.

OTA
[ Ron called in a personal favor. He said a friend needed a performer for their party and somehow, he knew she would appreciate the chance to try and get used to performing in public. So naturally, when her cue comes, she finds the one armed god pushing her forward and urging her to the stage.
As the music starts up, she sings. It's a sad little tune and though she seems to have put her heart into it, she's still managing to smile. In a way, it's a bit cathartic... or maybe she's learned how to put her emotions away when on stage?
When she ends, she does her bows and finally relaxes. There's still a lot more to this idol business than she thought. ]
Not too bad for a solo performance...
--
b. close encounters of the goat kind...
[ She didn't think it would be proper to wander around someone else's temple. After all, she was just a guest... and a plus one to someone who had been invited, at that. But she finds herself drawn to the trees at least. It's... calming. Nothing like the Baron's haunted manor at all. Idly she can't help but wonder if she'll ever be reassigned and if she'll end up with a god whose temple isn't so--
The sensation of a cold nose pulls her out of her musing. There's an animal that's taken to nibbling at her skirt and it's causing an uncharacteristically fierce shriek of surprise as she pulls away.
Help a poor girl out? That goat seems a little too interested in the ribbon on her dress... ]
B
He is like a baby! He will nibble on everything. (She quickly lifts the small goat into her arms, reprimanding him.) Is your ribbon ruined?
no subject
[ She's glancing at it as she smooths her skirt back down. Apart from being slightly damp, the ribbon's just fine.
Goats.
But she does recognize who she's speaking with the minute she turns back to the woman and that prompts her to give a quick bow from the waist. ]
Lady Sansa, if I'm not mistaken? The Baron pointed you out when we first arrived because I wanted to know who to thank for the hospitality.

Re: OTA
As such, Rei was amoungst the crowd dressed in what he had deemed to be proper garb for a Greek God. A simple white toga with a violet purple sash with a golden butterfly to clasp it in place. It was perfection- or as close as perfection as it can be until he caught a glance of who was singing.
IT WAS HER! THE GIRL IN HIS MEMORIES! THE GIRL THAT HE HAS NO MEMORIES OF BESIDES THAT... THAT KISS?!?!?
The next sound that had escaped from his lips was anything but beautiful as he gasped stunned at Hime.]
no subject
She felt someone staring, that sort of sixth sense you get when someone has their eyes on you. Thankfully she had swallowed down the water she was drinking before she turned to look for whoever was staring so intensely because the sight would have made her choke. ]
...Rei-kun...?
[ There's water starting to leak from other places though. Whoops. ]
ota
[Exciting.]
[Still, at least he's in a public area instead of sequestered away somewhere on the temple grounds, his simple black beanie giving his location away. He mostly just sits and eats, eyeing anyone who comes over to sit by him. The only time this changes is when Davesprite starts to play, and Chikusa finally stirs. He sets out a laptop in front of him, fingers quickly tapping along the keys, and he cocks his head to the side when a song occasionally snags his attention.]
[Feel free to get nosy. Chikusa can be pretty apathetic about that kind of thing when it's not important.]

[The Medicine Seller isn't one for parties, but he does live here, so naturally he's going to be around.]
[He's even playing the proper shinki, greeting each guest when he first sees them with a gracious gesture (though not, of course, a bow to any gods besides his lady.]
How grand it is to welcome you... as our honored guest. Please, be at ease while you're here.
[After that, though, he's a bit more of a wallflower. He's still around, and doesn't seem to be bothered by the crowd or the music -- but he steers well clear of the dance floor itself, and seems more interested in (slightly too intense) people-watching than in actually interacting with anyone.]
[To Sansa]
[At some point in the evening, he does at least seek out Sansa. He bows deeply to her, comfortable in the formality of it.]
Are you pleased with the turnout, my Lady?
:D <3
Very much so! Does it seem as if everyone is enjoying themselves?
<3! Sorry to have been so slow lately!
It's okay! <333
