Who: OPEN TO ALL! The open invite was sent over BBS to everyone you can hand wave that you saw it. Come enjoy the hospitality of a god of light! Bring all your gods, goddesses, shinki and spirit animals.
What: Beach Barbecue! At some point there might be a need for some gods to help destroy a certain pesky giant fish ayakashi that has somehow wandered in and wants to destroy the temple...

[ House Mingling ]

Laid out in the kitchen is a large variety of snacks and drinks for everyone to help themselves to. So sugar up and enjoy! There is also a collection of strange Japanese snacks that Sora thought were hilarious. He doesn’t promise any of it actually tastes any good though:

In addition, there is also a Nintendo Wii U with various games that are open to anyone to play. These games include but are not limited to Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 10, Guitar Hero Live, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Wii Sports and Zumba Fitness: World Party.

[ Beach Barbecue ]

Baldr’s temple sits on a shoreline with a dock floating into the ocean. The soft sand is warm during the day but when the sun sets it gets rather chilly. A bonfire has been started to keep the beach occupants warm and the cooking starts as soon as the sun sets. Everything from burgers to hotdogs are available for eats.

The water is very cold when the sun is gone so don’t be pushing people into the ocean unless you want people to get colds. (can gods and shinki get colds?) There also might be rumors of a giant purple fish ayakashi that gobbles people up is in the water, but who knows if that’s true?

Couches, hammocks and pillows are also available for beach time snuggles if you need the private space to chat.

Somewhere someone is setting off firecrackers and sparklers. Join in and set a few off but don’t set yourself on fire!

[ GIANT PURPLE FISH AYAKASHI ]

It's true.

Sometime later in the evening when everyone is out on the beach enjoying the weather and the cool night air, there is a soft rumbling that comes from somewhere over the ocean. The rumbling goes unnoticed at first maybe attributed to the dock creaking or the waves changing wind. But soon the rumbling gets stronger and stronger and the waves become violent, lapping dangerously at the shoreline.

Soon there is a loud screeching noise that erupts from somewhere over the waves. The water parts and a giant ayakashi breeches the surface and leaps effortlessly into the air. Ugly round eyes cover its body staring in all directions and surveying the beach. Then the fish falls back into the water causing a rippling of violent waves to crash against the beach.

It's silent for a moment.

Then the rumbling gets louder. The fish is getting closer. Fast.

[ Epic Blanket Fort Battle ]

Upstairs, a gigantic epic blanket fort has been set up. If you’ve brought your own blankets and pillows they’ve been added to the pile. Inside are tons of pillows and movies to watch. Cozy up with a friend or snuggle up and fall asleep.

Or better yet, challenge someone to a pillow fight and claim victory as a pillow warrior champion. Unearthly divine powers are permitted and encouraged. Shinki usage is also permitted granted you don’t break the house.

Whatever the case, pajamas are mandatory to enter.

[ Morning Waffles ]

If you haven’t passed out by now be ready for the biggest breakfast extravaganza of your afterlife.

There are waffles stacked up high with all the fixings such as fresh strawberries, nutella, whip cream, banana slices, jams, cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips.

There is also fresh fruit smoothies of every variety. Yum. That not your thing? There is also tea and hot chocolate.

Morning waffles is also open to anyone who didn’t want to come the night before for some reason and want to come for the deliciousness only. Because who doesn’t like waffles?

And contrary to popular belief, this is the only dish that Sora can cook well.

[ WILD CARD ??? ]

Dunno what you’re doing but Sora doesn’t care as long as you are cozy and have fun.

Just don’t steal anything. He's a trusting person, okay?

You know what bleach is, right? That's a dangerous base. Don't let it get on your skin. If you do, wash it off! Bases don't burn unless they've been on your skin a long time.

[That's easy! It doesn't take a laundry spirit to pick up on that kind of stuff. It's not subtle, like "don't put a red sock in with your white t-shirts."]

[You can actually mix red socks in with whites if you have a color safe detergent and cold water!]

[That is a lie and Axel has the pink underwear to prove it. At the bottom of his drawer. Where no one will ever know.

Not that he's sure he had a color-safe detergent, or cold water, for that matter.]

Anyway, I'll just wash it out! No big deal.

[He reaches for the zipper, then pauses, and eyes Roxas.]

Okay, you're not gonna mind if I go shirtless for, like, five minutes while I go soak the sleeve on this and steal a T-shirt. Right?

[Maybe he should wear a shirt under his coat? Counterpoint: the only time it's not too hot for that is the middle of winter, plus, unless it's a really tight shirt it bunches up and looks dumb.]

[.... that earns Axel a stare. Why. What.

Roxas gives him a rather blank look.]

Why would I mind? We're both guys.

[He's used to shirtless guys from Koriko. And seeing naked people around the bathhouse.... really, he's seen more undressed anatomy than he's ever wanted to...]

Some people get weird about that stuff.

[Not like he thinks not having a shirt on is that big of a deal for a guy anyway, but there are definitely people who find it unacceptably underdressed. Pippa, for example.

There's also one other issue, which is going to get a lot more obvious as he pulls the coat off and bundles it in his arms: there's a name painted in wide dark red lines on the left side of his chest, and another one on his shoulderblade, and another one at the middle of his back.]

[The names make him stare. Why... was there so many? Axel... what have you been doing?

Roxas nods as he watches his friend run off. Would it be rude to ask about the names? He's not sure...]

[Axel's back in a few minutes, just like he said, with the coat gone and a too-tight borrowed T-shirt on in its place. He waves casually.]

Hey! Okay, sorry about that. Hope Sora doesn't mind.

[He plucks at the T-shirt dubiously.] Or Riku? This could be Riku's.

... It's way too big to be Sora's. That's probably Riku's.

[The white haired boy might get irritated about this.]

Oh well, I'll be careful not to spill anything on this one.

[It's blue, which isn't all that bad even if Axel likes brighter colors when he's not going for black.

But as for whose it is? Axel eyes Roxas blankly.] Riku's not that much bigger than Sora... I mean the one who's Sora's shinki, not Namine's.

Man, I should get them signs. Or ribbons.

[He grins evilly.] Or big, bright hair bows.

Not really. Sora doesn't look like it, but he's pretty skinny. Riku is bigger.

[He grumbles at the mention of the other Riku though.]

Hair bows. Go for hair bows.

Okay, I'll take your word for it.

[Axel pauses. Roxas doesn't like Riku, huh. Which one? Whoever it is, he's getting pretty grumbly, and it's not skin off Axel's nose to poke fun at the wet blanket and the mini-maybe-a-wet-blanket-who-even-knows.]

Big, bright hair bows. What do you think? Does neon sound like their kind of color?

[The wet blanket. The one who Roxas will always hold a grudge against until he gets a rematch.]

... Neon pink and orange.

The real trick is gonna be talking them into wearing those.

[Axel grins, leaning one shoulder casually against a tree.]

Hey, didn't Sora say people could sleep over? If you're gonna, you should sneak the bows into their hair before they wake up.

Sora made me promise to stick around. I told him if he fell asleep before me that I'd leave.

[But Roxas may as well spend the night here. It's too quiet back home.]

You're not gonna sleep over?

Nah, I figured I should head back to Pippa's place. She's rattling around in there all alone, you know?

[Axel shrugs, glancing away a little uncomfortably. He might've been picking up names here and there, but it doesn't mean he's not still Pippa's shinki too, and she hasn't got anybody else to work with.]
