Ah... I guess big brother works.

[Yoon didn't have any siblings in his past life, so it doesn't fill any sort of void for him like it does for Goten. Mostly he's just glad that Goten seems to like the idea.]

You don't have to say what happened to hurt his feelings but I don't know how me becoming his shinki would help. I wouldn't mind staying over more often but you could always come to Yona's temple and stay with me instead sometimes.

[He finishes up the preparations he was in the middle of and gives Goten the opportunity to do some of the work - even if he has to wait for Goten to be ready to pull his attention away from talking about Aymeric. Yoon can multitask like that but maybe Goten can't.]

[Goten just grins at that, practically beaming at Yoon. If it was someone he didn't know, Goten would be a little more bothered by Aymeric offering himself to become someone else's god but for Yoon, someone he's already friends with, sounds like a fun team up!]

Okay! Sometimes I'll stay with you and you can stay with me sometimes too! I don't always stay at the temple either. Sometimes I sleep over Izumo's and Hitsu's!

We can hang out more and help each other learn more shinki stuff too.

[It's only when Yoon is practically done with his task, Goten finally notices and quickly goes back to peeling the husk off the corn.]

[He's not sure how much he should tell Goten about being surprised at his reaction, so instead he focuses on just being grateful.]

Well then, it's settled. I'll let Aymeric know I talked to you about it.

[He knows that technically he didn't need Goten's permission, but considering Goten's age he really didn't want to just spring that on Goten.]

And I know what Hitsugaya's temple is like, but where is "Izumo's"? As long as by "Izumo's" you don't mean sleeping under his - what is it he runs, a tavern?

[Tavern, Bar...Goten doesn't know the difference if there is or isn't one but he knows what it's usually called.]

Yeah, his bar has rooms! It's fun. I got a bed there and everything and the kitchen isn't hard to get to.

[Yoon doesn't really know either, but to him... that sounds like a tavern.]

You don't actually sleep in the kitchen, I hope, Goten.

[He's not... 100% opposed if Izumo's the one who runs it, it's his call, but geez that sounds like so many kinds of bad ideas.]

I could if I wanted to, I think. Above the bar part of it are rooms. I got one just for me but other people stay sometimes.

[He shrugs a bit]

You should come by sometime! Izumo makes really good food and drinks. I betcha if you made food there lots of people would like it too. Your food is really good too.

Well.... [Modesty does not become him.] My food is really good. But I'd need to be asked first before I just walked in there and started making food.

[But he holds up an index finger.]

Besides, I'm going to focus on one god's temple at a time. I need to get situated at Yona's - and then talk to Aymeric next.

Ohhhh, okay. Then can I visit you a lot at Yona's and help you get situated? Then you can hang out more with me at Aymerics!

[It sounds good to Goten. He's just excited to soon be teamed up with Yoon and have even more an excuse to hang around him.]

Of course you can, Goten. I won't wait too long before I check in with Aymeric now that we got to talk. I'm sure Yona wouldn't mind if you came over.

[He's starting to become consciously aware that he's the mom friend, but Goten brings it into stark contrast. And that's why Yoon reaches over to brush his hand gently through Goten's hair.]

I don't think she will. I like Yona a lot to. She's super nice. She gave me water guns!

[He loves those things okay.]

I can't wait to do prayers and stuff together. You're really smart too so they're be really easy with you around. This is gonna be so awesome!

[He's thinking of Hitsugaya's scarf, which means he can't really be effective in a fight. Then again, Goten is a fighter...]

What's your vessel form anyway, Goten?

[He's almost positive that hasn't come up yet.]

No way! Even if you turn into something weird, it's you Yoon! You'd figure it out, I know it.

[He's got the upmost confidence in him. His big smile reflects that. Yoon is smart so even if it was something like kind of clothing he's sure they'd figure something out. Heck, Kairi use to turn into gloves and she figured out a way!]

Me? I turn into a sword for Aymeric. With Hitsu i become this long weapon with a curved blade at the end. I don't remember what it's called.

[Yoon laughs a little, prepared to make a joke about being a genius. Then he mentions "with Hitsu" what he becomes. And that makes Yoon stop to think for a second... because he really could've sworn that Goten was strictly Aymeric's shinki. That was why he worried about Goten's reaction. The way that Goten said that though, there's no mistaking it. Something to keep in mind.]

Well, so a weapon in both cases. Are your names similar too? I was wondering if that mattered.

Uh....I don't think so?

[He blinks slowly. He's really bad at remembering his names.]

I can show you them if you want? Maybe that'll help?

Sure. I think I should be able to read them for you.

[Maybe with enough repetition, Goten will remember his names. And maybe it's not even that they're pronounced similarly, but have similar elements to their characters? He'll know if Goten shows him, at least.]

[Goten nods, undoing the black belt around his waist as he slides off the top of his gi and pulls off his dark blue shirt. Despite all the fighting and training he does, there isn't a mark on Goten aside from his name. Chinki - 珍 on his right shoulder and 犠 - Giki on his upper back. He tries to glance at them himself too.]

[He touches Goten's right shoulder.]

This one is Chin - I think it means unconventional.

[That was straightforward enough. Then he moves around to Goten's back, placing a hand there.]

And this one is Gi... which is...

[He thinks, 'Am I reading this correctly? Victim? Sacrifice? Why would anyone name a child that kind of awful thing?']

Target, I think.

[The target of someone's malicious intent, surely.]

Does that mean they're similar?

[He's curious now but after another minute or so he does start to pull down his shirt and shrug back on his gi.]

[Yoon shakes his head no, but then remembers he's behind Goten at such an angle the boy won't see that. He moves until Goten can see him again.]

No, not really. They aren't even written with similar strokes in the characters - patterns of the brush when you write, you know?

[He tries to think a bit more before the memory of those characters leaves him. Is there any other similarity...?]
