[Open Mingle] End of Summer Lucky-Pot
Who: Anyone and Everyone!
When: September 22nd
Where: Cnoc Áine
What: It is the final day of Summer and the first day of Fall so the Temple of Áine, the Irish Goddess of Summer, throws one last picnic to bid her season farewell. All are welcome, as long as they bring a dish for thelucky-pot potluck.
[ To celebrate the final day of Summer, the Temple of Áine has gone all out, decorated in vibrant shades of red and gold that already accent the hint of leaves that are changing outside the temple grounds. Although inside the walled temple, it still seems like a beautiful summer day, the leaves on the trees still a bright vibrant green. The picnic is set up in the large orchard that spreads within the temple, the trees' boughs heavy with brightly-hued apples of every flavor and crispness.
Blankets and tables are scattered beneath the trees and in the clearing at the center, several long tables are set up to be filled with dishes brought by guests. Yona has supplied some of it herself, with the help of some friends. Several roasts, carefully sliced and carved for guests. A large platter of corn still on the cob. Several types of breads, seasoned with fruits or vegetables from the summer seasons or the harvest. And apples, of course - those seem to be here and there and everywhere; in pies, sliced and paired with peanut butter or caramel or other dips, made into a buttery spread for the loaves of bread. No matter what people bring to add to the potluck, there will be plenty of food to go around, as well as wine and ciders generously offered to go with it.
There is music playing in the background, just to set the mood or for people to dance to, and the pools of water are still warm enough for people to take a soak or swim in. And when the sun sinks and the sky darkens and the air grows a little cooler, a large bonfire is lit, with hot cocoa passed around and the makings for s'mores set out for anyone who wants to have a little dessert after their feasting. One last offering to a fading summer until it comes around again. ]

So two months is the average stay... [ Some are here for much longer than that, so it's hardly average. But it's possible to return soon. If they do return. ] Sorry for that kiddo, but with Yona, you're in good hands now.
[ Doesn't help much about those who are gone, but Caster has always been the "focus on here and now" kind of guy ]

[And if that sounds muddled, it's supposed to. He had likewise assumed some kind of causality between the time he served a god and the time they disappeared, but the more he thought about it, the more variables he started to see.]

"Two other gods you're working with"? [ Sounds innocent enough, but given the nature of god and shinki bond-- and the fact, that Yona is involved, he'd rather make sure it is innocent ] What, you're part-timing and doing their chores?

[Not exactly 33% in each place, but there's Aymeric whose primary shinki is a kid and Hitsugaya whose primary shinki isn't very good with spells, so he has reasons to stop by both places every now and again.]
no subject
His tone turns a little more serious, a little less friendly, but he's still casual and easy-going enough that it might be not noticed. ]
I assume that Yona knows?
[ Look, he has to make sure ]
no subject
[He's absolutely indignant that he'd keep something from Yona after everything she's done for him and how much she said leading up to his actual naming to assuage many of his fears when it came to being named over and over again by gods that disappeared, and to whom he didn't feel useful, but in order to be useful he had to be involved in fighting... yet felt passionately pacifistic. It was a complicated feeling, wanting to help protect her, yet the best way to do that was to throw away some of his idealism.]
What's it to you, anyway?
no subject
But really, he's just resigned himself to the "not my business" attitude. Yona made a choice, he ain't going to question that. Besides he can recognize the strategical value of working with numerous shinki. ]
no subject
[Both that he's a friend and that he cares about her well-being.]
Anything else then, while I'm getting questioned?
no subject
Nope, that's all, end of questioning. Keep up the good job.
