Who: Anyone and Everyone!

Where: Cnoc Áine
What: It is the final day of Summer and the first day of Fall so the Temple of Áine, the Irish Goddess of Summer, throws one last picnic to bid her season farewell. All are welcome, as long as they bring a dish for thelucky-pot potluck.
[ To celebrate the final day of Summer, the Temple of Áine has gone all out, decorated in vibrant shades of red and gold that already accent the hint of leaves that are changing outside the temple grounds. Although inside the walled temple, it still seems like a beautiful summer day, the leaves on the trees still a bright vibrant green. The picnic is set up in the large orchard that spreads within the temple, the trees' boughs heavy with brightly-hued apples of every flavor and crispness.
Blankets and tables are scattered beneath the trees and in the clearing at the center, several long tables are set up to be filled with dishes brought by guests. Yona has supplied some of it herself, with the help of some friends. Several roasts, carefully sliced and carved for guests. A large platter of corn still on the cob. Several types of breads, seasoned with fruits or vegetables from the summer seasons or the harvest. And apples, of course - those seem to be here and there and everywhere; in pies, sliced and paired with peanut butter or caramel or other dips, made into a buttery spread for the loaves of bread. No matter what people bring to add to the potluck, there will be plenty of food to go around, as well as wine and ciders generously offered to go with it.
There is music playing in the background, just to set the mood or for people to dance to, and the pools of water are still warm enough for people to take a soak or swim in. And when the sun sinks and the sky darkens and the air grows a little cooler, a large bonfire is lit, with hot cocoa passed around and the makings for s'mores set out for anyone who wants to have a little dessert after their feasting. One last offering to a fading summer until it comes around again. ]

She makes sure to take time to catch up with many of them, between running here and there and seeing that everyone is seen to. But someone might need eventually tug her over to grab a bite for herself, caught up in everything she needs to get done and oversee, because it's very likely she might forget for a while to actually enjoy this potluck for herself rather than playing host the entire time.
Eventually, though, when the sun sets and the bonfire is lit, she does find a quiet place to sit beside the dancing flames, staring deeply into the fire as her hands cradle a steaming mug of cocoa, losing herself in her own thoughts for a little while unless someone comes to join her. ]

[Goten has only been at the party for a little while but it's hard to miss her vibrate crimson hair bouncing all around with her. Despite that, with the goddess moving all around and trying to tend to everything it's even hard for Goten to keep track of her.
Partying didn't quite feel right but with Aymeric awake he is feeling a little more at ease. There may have also been some false hope that he'd magically see Izumo around the party too. Izumo liked Yona and Shizuo, so he was hoping maybe the blond shinki would have saw her post about it or just been attracted by all the festivities.

But he offers her a small smile as he reaches out to tug on her sleeve.]

He spends most of the day sampling and trying a little bit of everything, because there are so many types of food here he's not sure he's ever seen before and he really does try to go for one of everything.
At some point, his curiosity gets the better of him, going to wander through the orchards before stumbling across the herd of horses and walking among them with a bright grin as he feeds them a few apples. Eventually, he ends up near the pools of water. Since walking had left him feeling a little too warm, he kicks off his shoes and wades in a little, enjoying the feel of the cooler water on his skin.
When darkness falls, he too can be found beside the fire, roasting marshmallows and trying a s'more for the very first time. And finding it amazing. And also sticky, since he ends up with gooey marshmallow all over his fingers, but he still looks delighted about the treat and keeps making more. ]

[It's a very nice mid-morning, and Temeraire -- in his proper form -- has brought a large dead wild boar. He dressed it with some very careful claw tip work before arrival, because that was rather messy, and also it was hard not to taste just a little after he'd gone to the trouble of catching it, even if he knew it would all taste better cooked.
He has the boar carcass in one hand, and is considering a stretch of bare ground towards the back of the orchard, looking up as someone approaches. He brightens and puts his ruff up in greeting.]
Good morning. Do you suppose it would be a problem if I made a pit here to roast this? I'm sure it would be done by dinner.
[Probably! He could even stuff it with apples, although he does not have as many spices as he would like. Pigs are extremely delicious in any case. He flips his wings back and traces the outline of a barbecue pit with one claw on the ground.]

[Temeraire's pig is roasting happily away, and he only feels the need to pace over and stretch his neck out to smell the roast every once in a little while. For now, there's a very nice party to enjoy, and he's pacing around enjoying the breeze and turning one large, interested eye on everything he spots.
The pools, though, are what he finally can't resist. He sneaks over to the largest, waiting until all of the humans happen to be out at the same time, and then, with obvious joy, leaps in.
He's a very large dragon.

He didn't touch the cooking, but he made sure to bring something else- namely drinks. No, not alcoholic beverages - pear and apple juice mainly, to fit with the theme. He's taking a relaxed stance on festivities, sampling the foods, bothering people who might seem alone at the moment, and greeting friends.
While he's not expecting trouble, he is always ready for it. By the time the bonfire happens, he retreats on the edges of the festival ground - probably to sit somewhere under the tree - or on its branches. High perches gives best views. ]

[ Kairi is decked out in a sundress and sandals and loving this event because of all the fond memories at Baldr temple. She wasn't sure she'd be in a good enough mood to be a pleasant guest at Yona's party what with Izumo's disappearance, but she pushed through it. Summer festivities are sure to cheer her up, she thinks.
So she looked for recipes in the library and of course didn't really find any sort of fruity dessert like she was thinking of, but she did find Fa'ausi and decided she had to try it. All of the flavors sounded good and it was an ambitious thing to make something you'd never done before, which she definitely wanted for today.
She had a playful rivalry with Forrest to live up to.]Waterbaby's Gunning For You
[She's wearing a one-piece bathing suit that covers well, since her entire goal is to be able to jump around and splash anyone who will engage in antics with her.
See, as much as she loves relaxing in the pools, they're still small. So there's portions of time where she'll be running around with a towel around her waist over the wet bathingsuit, with a Super Soaker in hand and looking for victims to douse, but preferably ones who are already wet or recently came out of the pools by the looks of them.
Of course, if one of her good friends happens to be standing around, she might consider getting them in the back with her Super Soaker.]

[They're just sort of sitting there on the buffet table like they have just as much right to be there as normal things like fruit and cooked meats do. As the actual food. Are - are they supposed to be eaten, too? But who would eat such a thing, and why would they presume the Princess might care to join them? Should someone remove them? Should he remove them? Can he find a long enough stick?
