Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods and shinki

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided to Bishamon's temple, where a reception area and a traditionally styled dojo and training ground have been made available for the day. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

God Training
- Newly arrived gods are escorted into a Western-styled reception hall within Bishamon's temple for an informational meeting covering the basics of proper god behavior, although the minor deity conducting the meeting is in too much of a rush to take questions afterwards. They are encouraged to discuss the information with each other and ask questions of more experienced gods, as well as instructed to guide their new shinki appropriately.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki volunteers, both in the white-and-gold of Amaterasu's shinki and in Bishamon's red-piped black uniforms, are stationed around the dojo, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. They will be happy to instruct the newcomers in the use of the borderline as well as offering an explanantion on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. Shinki are encouraged to work together to practice what they've learned and discuss their perspectives.
Someone has brought two overflowing boxes of back issues of From Ama, the Heavenly magazine, which includes profiles of successful shinki and gods, historical tidbits, and the occasional magazine quiz to help shinki determine how well they're currently working with their god or what their greatest strength might be.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern, to offer some practice opportunity to gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes. It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
This month, a clever shinki magician has created a dozen straw-stuffed training dummies, some with sword-length sticks and some with polearm-length sticks, that have been enchanted to really fight back. Unfortunately, the spell isn't perfect yet! They're good training partners, but sometimes they might go a little haywire and try to smack passersby.
Rest and Refreshments
- Along with bottled water, there are several large boxes of energy drinks and vitamin drinks in small amber glass bottles, and an array of protein bars and meal bars. One particular shinki in white, a bespectacled twentysomething man, is explaining the health benefits of everything on the table (even the water!) with great enthusiasm to any guest who looks even a little confused. It takes great tact to discourage him.
Party games have been set up on the lawn near the refreshments table: Twister, Kubb, lawn Jenga, and more.

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Play some games
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

[ He's not sure why he cares enough for that, but at the same time, it looks like he spent a lot of time growing it out. It'd suck to have it lost just like that. All the same, it was a very casual threat and promise that was given right back to Izumo.
It gets the teen to pull the pamphlet off his face and sit up, though. For some reason, he can tell instantly who this person is supposed to be to him- Like he can sense it. ]
So it's you, huh? Can you do something cool at least, like shoot lightning from your fingers or breathe fire?
no subject
[Izumo quirks an eyebrow at him.
And just to indulge him for this moment, he summons a small fireball and fires it at Judar.]
no subject
[ He immediately raises an arm up to defend himself, as if that'd help with fire. Except it works out, as a bubble of energy seems to take the flame and shield him completely. After a moment, the teen relaxes and there's this grin on his face. ]
That was awesome. Fire powers're pretty cool too.
[ Judar... ]
no subject
[But he's a little more surprised at the barrier that briefly appears around him.
Just what kind of person is he?]
no subject
[ That's sort of a lie- this place would be boring if no one else had powers. Not that he's sure why that would count as boring. Just that it did for some reason. ]
So aside from what you are... Who're you?
no subject
[Besides, his new shinki looks as if he's the troublemaker sort.
If he didn't have anything here to challenge him, he'd probably cause too much trouble - more than he already has.]
Izumo. And your name?
no subject
[ After thinking about it, that's probably true. Probably and most definitely.
But yeah, Izumo, it's lucky that your shinki is still alive after some of the trouble he's caused. Not that he tries, but that's his personality. He's already caused quite a bit of trouble just by being him. ]
Judar. You're supposed to give me another name though, right? It better not suck.
no subject
[Oh. Izumo is already dreading what will happen once Judar meets the rest of HOMRA.
It would be very unfortunate his shinki died on his first day here.
But Izumo simply looks amused.]
I'll try to make sure of that.
My name is Xihe.
Bearing two names you shall remain here. With these names I make thee my servant. Thy name is its reading. Thy vessel its sound. By my decree, you become my shinki. Thy name is Judar. Thy vessel 'To'.
Come, Toki. [Tracing the character name, he watches it fly over the shinki.]
no subject
[ Judar, at least try to play nice. Yet it sounds like he's already upset a few people, if he's saying it that way.
As he watches, the red eyes don't seem too impressed with the words themselves- the whole spell was lame. All of the magic he saw here was pretty lame. He watched the demonstrations earlier- Everyone was shouting out the same spell. The way the character name shows up in the air, however, actually gets his interest. He didn't care about ceremony, but the actual thing was interesting.
He wasn't expecting everything to go white when the character settled underneath his foot, however. As he lost shape and started to take the form of a wand in Izumo's hand, his disorientation had him adjusting to the space as memories flooded through Izumo's mind. Of the Truth of Judar, how he probably wasn't even really named Judar and how his life was essentially molded and twisted since infancy, his horrible part in the fall of a kingdom, and the part that every god is guaranteed to get when naming a shinki; the memory of their death. ]
no subject
[Then again, no one knows so far that Izumo is Judar's god, anyway.
It takes some time to adjust to the sudden barrage of memories inside of his mind. The way he can develop a better understanding of his new shinki, the way he can see Judar's death with an amazing amount of clarity as if he was witnessing it firsthand. He supposes he should feel something for his shinki; the way he was raised and twisted to become the person he grew to become now.
Or was, but Izumo suspects that part of Judar won't change any time soon.
He twists the wand in his hand.]
Judar?
no subject
Judar was finally adjusting, but it was still really fucking weird. It was like he was two but still one. He was there, but his awareness and body were different. He knew he didn't have ears, but he could still hear, and he knew he could talk because part of him just can. ]
Yeah, I'm- Shit this is weird.
no subject
[It's rather odd to be on the opposite of this.
To hear Judar's voice in his head, to be aware of his presence in the way Izumo had been in before. Ah, there was no real way of getting used to this, was there?]
no subject
I'm not in pain if that's what you wanna know. It's weird being some thing in your hand, but also a sense of being me. Just as it's fucking disorienting to be talking but also knowing you don't have a mouth to speak with in the physical sense.
no subject
He chuckles.]
You'll grow adjusted to it soon, but for now....Revert, Judar.
no subject
Yeah, not getting used to it in a while... Shit, why'd this happen?
[ Now his head feels heavy. God dammit. As if he needed that on top of the headache he's got. ]
no subject
[Or this place does, really.
Either way.]
Let's head to our temple. Might be good for you to get some rest and food in you.
no subject
[ Now he's gotta drape it around so it's not dragging on the dirty ground. His life is tough.
So tough. ]
Yeah, I could do with some of that. What kinda food is there?
no subject
[And stop complaining.
Izumo reaches out, draping Judar's hair around the shinki's neck in a sort of scarf.]
All sorts, but I can cook something for you if there's anything specific you want.
no subject
[ How's a dead person supposed to die again? That sounds dumb. Also knock that off. His hair isn't a- Actually, this keeps it off the ground. This is fine. ]
Not really thinking of anything specific. No vegetables, though.
no subject
[It's not unheard of deaths happening, after all.]
You can do having some vegetables in you. [But he places a hand on Judar's shoulder and teleports them to their temple.]
no subject
[ He seems to take the teleport very well, barely having to resteady himself when they're at the temple. Well shit, this place looks nice. Apparently his god was loaded. ]
It's not like I need them. Look at these muscles.
no subject
[Loaded would be a good term for it. Just wait til you look inside.]
Right. So if I challenged you to an arm wrestle after you eat, you'd beat me?
no subject
Also... That is definitely something he's not sure he can say 'yes' to. Doesn't stop him from shrugging at the idea and acting like he could. ]
Maybe. Adding vegetables to that wouldn't change the outcome anyway.
no subject
[Even so, Izumo leads him inside of the temple and he glances over at him.]
You're free to choose your own room, by the way. Either inside of here or one of the apartments connecting to the main house in the back.
no subject
[ Well, now he's learned his stance on vegetables. So he'll continue on to the cooler subject of this place. ]
My own room, huh? Should be pretty awesome if the outside's anything to judge.
