Open Mingle
Who: Everyone
Where: Near Shore (Possibly Paris, but people are free to shop all over the world, too)
When: September 28th
What: Shopping mingle!
By now everyone should have gotten that invitation for a formal party, right? Which means it's time for one thing: shopping.
Either it's by coincidence that everyone has thought up of the same place or through the courtesy of Hibiki (whose luck had ran out on her this time), people are going on a shopping trip in the fashion capital of the world: Paris. There are always fun and new outfits to try or, or if Paris simply doesn't have your style, feel free to head to another city.
So, have fun shopping. Enjoy yourselves.
And possibly remember to pay for the clothes you want to buy.Clothes aren't cheap, after all.
One of the malls they can be starting from is this lovely place. Try not to get lost.
[ooc; This is an open shopping mingle for anyone and everyone who simply want to go shopping, need an outfit for that formal party event coming up, or you're part of CelePara in which your shopping trip is being invaded by other people. Feel free to make top levels for your guys and have fun!]

You're not the first person to say that to me on this trip. But you know how he is, you saw what he can make -
[She moves to line up the sleeve with one of her arms to compare what it might look like on her.]
I just thought it would be a nice surprise for someone who'd actually appreciate it.
[Someone she's dating, of course.]

[Celestia may have no firsthoof experience with romance, but she's seen so much of it she may know a thing or two.]
no subject
[She flexes one arm and holds it with her other, to show she's serious.]
I'll focus on just being excited instead!

[Kairi covers her face, imagining that to be very close to nudity.]
Oh my gosh that would be... a little much...

Well, the point remains the same no matter what you envision.

[She laughs then, still a little red but now amused.]
I guess I'd say the same thing about him, so I kinda get what you're saying.

[Which is why clothing is overrated, but she's accepted that humans are humans about it all.]

[She fiddles with the tuxedo some more, feeling the texture of the cloth. So soft!]

Bouteh... Boutan? A pretty flower stuck in there with a pin.

[Because now that she thinks about it...]

[Which she thinks she might not be, being a shinki.]

[The answer is so easy, but she can understand it. Sometimes aesthetics are the only reason you need.]
no subject
[She nods.]
It's a huge effort that doesn't feed us the way it does you, so it was a status symbol. Poor people wouldn't have had gardens, but nobility could afford to have fresh flowers on their tables because someone got it from their gardens.
no subject
[All confusion is gone. Celestia comprehends quite well the vagaries of nobility and the competition for status in every way.]
There are worse symbols.
no subject
[She hadn't though much of it until this conversation.]
What are some symbols that your people normally use if not flowers and gardens?
