By now everyone should have gotten that invitation for a formal party, right? Which means it's time for one thing: shopping.

Either it's by coincidence that everyone has thought up of the same place or through the courtesy of Hibiki (whose luck had ran out on her this time), people are going on a shopping trip in the fashion capital of the world: Paris. There are always fun and new outfits to try or, or if Paris simply doesn't have your style, feel free to head to another city.

So, have fun shopping. Enjoy yourselves.

And possibly remember to pay for the clothes you want to buy. ~~Clothes aren't cheap, after all.~~

That is the best choice. You could show up wearing a sack and he'd find it beautiful by virtue of you being in it, so rely on yourself to make the evening, not your clothing, and you will have no problems at all.

Yeah, I certainly agree with you there. I'm just worried about showing up to the party and not being as elegantly dressed as my date. I couldn't wear jeans and a t-shirt if he's in a nice dress after all!

I do not think you will need to worry about that. Clothing equal to the occasion is a necessity. [Unless one is an ancient Princess and can get away with just saying, 'no'.] I only am saying you shouldn't worry about every little detail.

Oh, you mean like worrying over earrings and necklaces and shoes and... well I guess if there's a suit, maybe cufflinks? Maybe a... shoot, what do boys put in their napkin spots on suitcoats...

And so how did it come that humans began making flowers into decorations instead of wearing decorations made for the purpose?

Probably ever since we had flowers in our gardens! You know, decorations for our houses and temples and then eventually decorations on our clothes.

And why did you all have them to begin with? Simply for the colors?

Have them...? I think they probably just grew in the wild and we moved them to our living areas, if I'm remembering history right.

It's a huge effort that doesn't feed us the way it does you, so it was a status symbol. Poor people wouldn't have had gardens, but nobility could afford to have fresh flowers on their tables because someone got it from their gardens.

Ah. That explains it perfectly then.
