Who: Misaki Yata and Izumo Kusanagi, Yata and Judar
When: Morning of September 30th
Where: Izumo's Temple
What: Yata needs help.
[ He'd promised Saru the night before that he'd go talk to Izumo first thing this morning and he keeps his word. He just might... take his time in getting there, an unusual air of hesitation in his actions when he finally arrives outside the gates of Izumo's new temple. Stalling for far too long, he does eventually kick himself into getting on with it, heading up to the entrance to knock on the door. ]

Then again, if it's Goten, the young shinki would generally just come barging in already and attach himself to Izumo. He knows for a fact that it's not Fushimi - the shinki would never come around even after being offered a place to stay. And Judar was currently in his room, nose buried in a notebook as he attempted to scribble the formulas out of his head.
So, curious, Izumo goes to open the door and gives a blink in surprise upon seeing Yata.]
Yata? What brings you here?
no subject
Hey. You busy? I can... come back later, if you are?
no subject
[He moves to the side, gesturing for him to enter.]
What's wrong?
no subject
I, ah... Need to ask a favor. [ He finally gets out, sounding uncertain, before rushing to give Izumo an out, even if he hasn't made the request yet. ] But it's okay if you can't, I know it's a long shot, and you don't need to feel bad if it's too much, I get it, I just...
[ He's not making sense. He purposefully bites off the excuses, already prepared to be told no again, and ducks his head, taking a moment to gather his courage again before blurting out, ]
Nami is gone.
no subject
I see.
[So, there could be two reasons and it's:]
Would you like me to name you or did you just want a place to stay? [Because Izumo will do both, anyway. What's important here is for Yata to be comfortable, especially since Judar may not be exactly amicable about it when he finds out.]

You... would?
no subject
[Izumo simply gives him an understanding look.
He has been in a similar position, after all. Sort of.]

[ He bites his words off because he's babbling. And giving all the reasons why he knows someone probably wouldn't want to give him a Name, because he's well aware that there's better candidates for shinki out there than him.
But Izumo had said yes without even hesitating and it had taken him off-guard, not expecting that. ]
I mean. Are you sure?
no subject
[He gives the shinki a fond exasperated look, a hint of a smile on his face as he waits for him to stop rambling.]
I'm sure.
[Izumo straightens a bit.]
Besides, I've known you from the moment you arrived here, remember? I was here when you were still figuring out Borderlines and when you found out about you fire.

[Really, there's a lot of reasons why Izumo is so agreeable. He knows how it feels to lose a god, and he's trying to figure if it's a blessing or a curse for him to turn into a god when Mikoto was debating to release him. But most of all, Yata is family. He's not going to let him become lost if he could help it.]

And maybe look for this other shinki he has. Even though he'd forgotten to ask Izumo who it was, too distracted by everything else. ]

Right now, however, he's actually in the kitchen, grabbing some fruit out of a bowl, taking a bite while hopping onto the counter. Ever graceful, he finishes pulling the bite off while staring at the new guy. ]
Who're you?
no subject
But it isn't long before he finds himself in the kitchen and face to face with a stranger. Izumo's shinki? It must be. Although it's not someone Yata's ever met before. Someone new, then?
The redhead blinks up at the guy perched on the counter curiously a moment before shifting nervously to his other foot. ]
I'm Yata. You're Izumo's new shinki?
no subject
Sure. The name's Judar. Something you want?
no subject
Yata cocks his head to the side for a moment before casting him a crooked grin and lifting one shoulder in a shrug. ]
To meet you, mostly. Ah, have you talked to Izumo yet...?
no subject
Taking another bite of what he's got, he watches the guy until he finally swallows and is able to answer. ]
I've been busy, so not since breakfast. Why?
[ Why does someone who's name sound like a cheer or something want to meet him? ]
no subject
Ahh, because... [ He pauses before turning serious once more, glancing down. ] I, uh. I asked him to name me this morning.
no subject
Huh.
Guess that makes me his exemplar now. Cool.
no subject
Still, Yata just blinks at him in surprise, not expecting that as a response. ]
Huh? No way. Pretty sure that's what Izumo gets to decide, not you.
no subject
[ That's how it goes, right? Definitely. The one that got there first gets the prestige and position of power. ]
How about this- Ask and if he has us decide it among ourselves, I get he title. Because obviously I understand his ways better than you.
no subject
You just got here, dude. Pretty sure you don't. And there is no 'default' when it comes to things like that. Besides, if you think you get to be exemplar just so you can boss me around, you're really missing the point.
I'm not interested in some pissing match about who's in charge. I answer to Izumo and I'm here to keep him safe.
no subject
[ It sounds cool and he feels like he should have some really cool and awesome title to begin with. So this will do suitably.
He's also going past this honor chat on how he's above pissing matches and only wanting what's best for their god. It's naive to think that the only reason for being here is to keep Izumo safe.
They should be helping with making him the top god that could take over all the others. ]
You've got more than just that, right? C'mon, you gotta bring something other than just what all the shinki can do.
