[Open] What if we rewrite the stars?
Who: Lavi and You!
When: October 4 - 8 (IC)
Where: Far Shore (mostly). Near Shore.
What: Aftermath of Add things as Lavi checks on his friends, reading and sign language class, and Lavi remembers a demon child from his world.
[A. Lessons for Reading and Signs]
[After finally managing to procure a good place for lessons - he may or may not have snagged a classroom at Hakkai’s school at some point - it was finally time for lessons!]
I. Reading
[For those who wanted assistance in reading, Lavi does have some books piled up on a desktop and he’s looking through a few himself. While some people had shown more interest in sign language, there were still enough people who seemed eager to read as well. The books were all beginner’s level, but there was another pile of books meant for the intermediate level.
He could have just finished helping someone out or waiting for someone to join him.
Either way, Lavi will look up when he hears someone coming in.]
II. Languages
[Languages, languages!
Even if it’s mostly sign languages, in which Lavi had been considerate enough to even make proper notes for the signs and even the alphabet out, all drawn out on the board for people to see.
On the other hand, given Yoon’s own interest in Braille, he has a couple of books for that as well. Digging into the Heaven’s library is taxing, so he took a brief trip to the Near Shore to gather the necessary ones.
He’s even reading something in Braille as he waits for someone to join him.]
[B. The Ghosts Hide in Shadows]
[It’s late into the evenings, but for once, it’s not because Lavi is trying to avoid sleep.
That’s a subject for another time.
Rather, he’s been going around certain temples, such as Nekhbet and Apollo’s temples, mostly to check in on them after whatever happened with Add. Otherwise, he can be seen walking around the Heavens, tracing odd patterns in the air with a finger while having a calculating look on his face.
It’s easy to surprise him like this, but don’t be surprised if he greets you with a hammer to the face.
He’s a little jumpy lately and he’s not afraid to use that hammer of his if he feels the least bit threatened. Unless he recognizes you and then the person is greeted with a smile.]
Evening!
[C. Dreams Become Nightmares]
[He remembers.
It was worse than the other memories he had remembered before, enough to make him remember why exactly he hated sleeping or dreaming in particular. Why he hated it when his dreams were being intruded on, showcasing a part of himself he didn’t even know existed, but it lingered.
Lavi decided: he hates memories.
The echoes of that girl’s laughs haunts him, enough where he’s taken to sneaking out of Cardia’s temple late at night and has taken to hide somewhere or until he finally does feel enough exhaustion to pass out. At this rate, it’s not surprising to see him in the library or at a park or even near a temple he’s visited before. However, he’d usually leave before someone spots him, never really staying at one place and it’s easy enough to see something has made him frightened.
He mumbles to himself, sounding upset and tugs his headband off his head, holding it tightly in his hand while he runs his other hand through his hair.]
Damn Road.
[D. A Walk in Fantasyland - Closed to Ayumu]
[He did promise her a date - or not date. Whatever it’s called.
Since Lavi has grown more familiar with the Near Shore, he opted to take Ayumu around Tokyo first. It’s easy and a little more familiar to him than most places.
So, he waits for her after giving her the time and location, knowing that while he should have gone to pick her up, Lavi actually doesn’t know if she’s still staying with Hakkai or is bunking up somewhere else. Either way, it’s going to be a day for them to hang out and not worry about things like that.]

[That's what he's been doing recently after what Add's done. It was here and then checking up on Hibiki and Ayumu.
But he does give Shun an initial glance over.]
no subject
[He's still kind of suspicious here. But since Lavi is pretty clearly trying to check him for injuries, Shun sighs somewhat irritably and moves along the branch, more into the light.
He's not wearing his coat right now, so it's easy to see his arms are free of injury, and he's not moving in any way that implies he's hiding one either.]
I'm fine, if that's what you wanted to know.
no subject
[But once Shun moves into the light, he gives him a look over. He seems satisfied upon seeing him alright, so his own posture relaxes.]
Wanted to make sure. That whole thing that happened got a lot of people in danger.
no subject
At Lavi's remark on the event, Shun nods a little before glancing to the side, a faint furrow of confusion in his brow.]
I know. I'm just pissed off I can't remember what happened after I went into the temple.
no subject
[That...is actually concerning.]
Really? Nothing at all?
no subject
[He knows Lavi looked into Ekko's death more than he'd had the chance to at the time, but it's possible he might not have known Add and Henir were the same person.
At the question, he frowns a bit before rubbing his fingers against the bridge of his nose.] I...can remember bits and pieces. Some of the people there. But that's it. Nothing I feel confident in passing on yet.
no subject
Besides, this was reckless enough where more people could've died.]
Huh, that's interesting. Hibiki ended up losing some of her memories, too.
no subject
Shun gives a derisive scoff at the mention of Hibiki's name.] Nothing important, then. That idiot certainly wasn't one of the ones who went into the temple, so it must have been a broader effect than that.
no subject
[Not that it should be too hard.
An eyebrow raise.] Possibly. But a lot of people almost got endangered because of that stupid stunt. [It's obvious he is not happy with Add and whatever happened.]
no subject
Even so, he shakes his head a bit and leans back.] I don't know when I'll be able to tell you more. I'm just hoping this damn fuzzy memory clears up at all.
no subject
A shrug.] Hopefully it isn't permanent then.
no subject
It'd better not be. If it's happening to me, it must be happening to the others that went in there as well.
no subject
He raises an eyebrow.] More than likely. The effects are likely to be worser than yours, too.
no subject
Have you heard from any of the others involved? [At this point, Shun would just like to know who they were and which ones are recovered enough to talk about it.]
no subject
Not much. Hibiki is Hibiki, and another friend of mine - Ayumu - mostly had her personality changed, but she still remembers what happened for the most part.
no subject
[That sounds like a severe side effect to have for more than a day or so.]
no subject
[Since she and Hakkai seemed to be having problems.]
no subject
[He'd also had the emotional effects on the day, but they'd vanished quickly enough once he got out of the immediate vicinity.]
no subject
[So emotional and memory issues? That sounds a tad bit familiar.]
no subject
I think it was dampening my emotions or something. That's how I get when I'm focused on something without anything else interfering.
[Unless it's anger, which just tends to focus him even more.]
no subject
[It was...odd seeing Shun like that.]
But if that's the case, then it really made you focus. You at least usually acknowledge people when they're talking to you.
[Should it be considered worrisome that Lavi's managed to pick up these things about you?]
no subject
[It's a surprisingly short time when he thinks about it - only a few weeks and those new friends from Standard and Synchro had gotten to him. But it's not for the worse, so he can hardly complain.]
no subject
[A blink and Lavi looks at him, almost thoughtful.]
You've come a long way then if that's how you used to be.
no subject
Anyway, it's in the past. [Not the most subtle hint he's ever given, but he gets less subtle the more troubled by something he is.]
no subject
Anyway, glad to see you're back to yourself, despite the whole...memory issue from what happened.
