[Open] What if we rewrite the stars?
Who: Lavi and You!
When: October 4 - 8 (IC)
Where: Far Shore (mostly). Near Shore.
What: Aftermath of Add things as Lavi checks on his friends, reading and sign language class, and Lavi remembers a demon child from his world.
[A. Lessons for Reading and Signs]
[After finally managing to procure a good place for lessons - he may or may not have snagged a classroom at Hakkai’s school at some point - it was finally time for lessons!]
I. Reading
[For those who wanted assistance in reading, Lavi does have some books piled up on a desktop and he’s looking through a few himself. While some people had shown more interest in sign language, there were still enough people who seemed eager to read as well. The books were all beginner’s level, but there was another pile of books meant for the intermediate level.
He could have just finished helping someone out or waiting for someone to join him.
Either way, Lavi will look up when he hears someone coming in.]
II. Languages
[Languages, languages!
Even if it’s mostly sign languages, in which Lavi had been considerate enough to even make proper notes for the signs and even the alphabet out, all drawn out on the board for people to see.
On the other hand, given Yoon’s own interest in Braille, he has a couple of books for that as well. Digging into the Heaven’s library is taxing, so he took a brief trip to the Near Shore to gather the necessary ones.
He’s even reading something in Braille as he waits for someone to join him.]
[B. The Ghosts Hide in Shadows]
[It’s late into the evenings, but for once, it’s not because Lavi is trying to avoid sleep.
That’s a subject for another time.
Rather, he’s been going around certain temples, such as Nekhbet and Apollo’s temples, mostly to check in on them after whatever happened with Add. Otherwise, he can be seen walking around the Heavens, tracing odd patterns in the air with a finger while having a calculating look on his face.
It’s easy to surprise him like this, but don’t be surprised if he greets you with a hammer to the face.
He’s a little jumpy lately and he’s not afraid to use that hammer of his if he feels the least bit threatened. Unless he recognizes you and then the person is greeted with a smile.]
Evening!
[C. Dreams Become Nightmares]
[He remembers.
It was worse than the other memories he had remembered before, enough to make him remember why exactly he hated sleeping or dreaming in particular. Why he hated it when his dreams were being intruded on, showcasing a part of himself he didn’t even know existed, but it lingered.
Lavi decided: he hates memories.
The echoes of that girl’s laughs haunts him, enough where he’s taken to sneaking out of Cardia’s temple late at night and has taken to hide somewhere or until he finally does feel enough exhaustion to pass out. At this rate, it’s not surprising to see him in the library or at a park or even near a temple he’s visited before. However, he’d usually leave before someone spots him, never really staying at one place and it’s easy enough to see something has made him frightened.
He mumbles to himself, sounding upset and tugs his headband off his head, holding it tightly in his hand while he runs his other hand through his hair.]
Damn Road.
[D. A Walk in Fantasyland - Closed to Ayumu]
[He did promise her a date - or not date. Whatever it’s called.
Since Lavi has grown more familiar with the Near Shore, he opted to take Ayumu around Tokyo first. It’s easy and a little more familiar to him than most places.
So, he waits for her after giving her the time and location, knowing that while he should have gone to pick her up, Lavi actually doesn’t know if she’s still staying with Hakkai or is bunking up somewhere else. Either way, it’s going to be a day for them to hang out and not worry about things like that.]

If you want to get any of it out, I'll listen.
no subject
Do you mind if we go somewhere...private? I don't trust any of your shinki popping out of nowhere and possibly eavesdropping on this.
[The fact that Lavi is concerned about that speaks volumes about how this is truly bothering him.]
no subject
[There's a difference between trusting people and trusting them not to do certain things. Fubuki in particular, Shun trusts, but certainly wouldn't trust not to stalk him if he thought something was off.]
no subject
But Lavi shifts.]
How about the Near Shore? Might be best to just sit in a coffee shop somewhere and talk this out.
[That almost might imply that Lavi may have been having some cups of coffee recently, too.]
no subject
If you know any that are open at this hour. [Shun is also not opposed to drinking coffee at this hour of the night, but then, caffeine doesn't tend to have that great an effect on him anyway. Possibly because he insists on taking his coffee so strong all the time.]
no subject
[There is a reason why he doesn't want to be in the Heavens.
And Lavi does look a little worser than usual.]
no subject
[But then again, it does mean they're out of the jurisdiction of these Heavens, so he can see the logic.] But if you're that fond of it, then I suppose there's a reason for it.
[Even if that reason is not wanting to risk being overheard.]
no subject
[He only gives him a smile.
There's really a lot of reasons why Lavi doesn't want to be in Heaven right now.] Then let's go?
no subject
You'll have to lead the way. [He can't teleport anywhere he doesn't already know, unless Lavi wants them to end up inside a wall.]
no subject
But he gives a nod.] Alright. [Oh, but! He does take out his phone to show Shun the picture of the cafe.]
no subject
Shun leans in to look at the picture, focusing on it for a moment. It looks like there's some kind of alley or at least a nook off to the side they can use, so he reaches for Lavi's wrist to teleport.
If he succeeds in making contact with him, they'll vanish and reappear in that little nook next to the cafe. A little close to the wall for Shun's liking, but at least they didn't land in anything.]
no subject
A nod to him before he exits the nook, waiting for him briefly before heading into the cafe.]
no subject
At least he's more used to this sort of thing nowadays.]
no subject
[A glance over at him as he already heads to the counter.]
no subject
[He's following Lavi to the counter already, because nobody, not even Ren, has yet managed to convince him to let them pay for his share of something like this.]
no subject
Then again, the income of shinki is different compared to what gods might get, so he doesn't put up a fuss.]
no subject
He's definitely not hurting for money, either, as prolific a god as he's gotten to be, which has just made him more adamant about this particular issue.]
no subject
[He doesn't take it personally and he orders his drink - just a hot tea, possibly Earl Grey - and at least not a latte. Lavi and his coffee habit is going to make him crash even sooner and he'd rather not crash yet.]
no subject
He may or may not keep the equivalent of a few hundred yen in a couple of different currencies on his person just in case, since it's not like his followers are all in one place. If they offer it, then he might as well find a practical use for it.]
no subject
He waits for Shun before he talks, nursing his tea first as he thinks over what he wants to say or how to even start this conversation.]
no subject
Shun follows Lavi over to the table, casting a glance over the cafe at large. He's mostly come to cafes with Far Shore residents for reasonably secretive conversations, so making sure no other heavenly residents are around is pretty much force of habit by this point.
Sitting down, he sets his own tea aside for the moment, watching Lavi closely. He'd rather not push, but he might prompt if Lavi spends too long hovering over his tea.]
no subject
He sighs, almost a huff.]
As I've told you earlier, I remembered a person named Road. She's...one of the enemies I've fought against before from what memories I got back tells me. [The redhead pauses, lips pursed.] She has this power to enter people's minds and enjoys playing games. With that power, she broke my mind.
[Lavi's grip tightens on his cup briefly as he remembers Road, remembers the absolute glee in her laughter. The way she took on Allen's form before he was stabbed by others in that dream realm.]
no subject
Those powers definitely don't sound like something he'd want anyone with less than benign intent to have, though - or even people with benign intent, since as Zelda once demonstrated, they can still make mistakes. Even that brief a summary tells Shun a lot about what must be causing Lavi's sleeplessness, and he grimaces slightly, resting a hand on the table.]
Did you remember that whole experience?
no subject
[He nurses his cup a bit.]
I remembered her breaking me first before I actually remembered her. It was on this weird...Ark thing. But I remember her breaking me and then I also remembered fighting Allen while under her control.
no subject
Did he help you? [Obviously Lavi recovered somehow.]
