Who: Speed of Sound Sonic
mybadhabit, Sheryl Nome
galactically, Roronoa Zoro
What: Showing off and sword fights.
When: Evening, April 3rd
Where: Hermes' temple
Warnings: Sonic and Zoro are going to do some "friendly" sparing. (ง •̀_•́)ง
[On the way home from completing the prayer with Ekko to the best of their abilities, Sonic stops by a grocery store. While they had plenty of food for the pair of them, he had invited Sheryl over so that he could show off, and he wanted to make her something nice for dinner. She had been friendly and supportive, and that deserved a measure of gratitude. So he picked up some freshly made pasta, french bread, some seafood, and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Pasta with a wine sauce was a fairly simple meal and it could sit in the oven while they were outside, but he was still sure it'd nice enough to impress.]
[He cooked while waiting for Sheryl to arrive, dressed in yoga pants and a tank top in preparation for the physical activity he'd be performing.]

[It was a playful warning out of Sheryl's mouth, but it was for the green-haired muscular shinki beside her as she stood in front of Sonic's temple. A promise made was a promise kept, and as such she made sure to arrive fashionably early — dressed in a classy purple sundress with matching heels and a white floppy hat.
A fleeing moment occurred to her once she took a quick glance at her attire before she shrugged it off. Sheryl always made sure to dress impeccably, even if it was a just a casual visit to a new friend's temple. She really was curious to see how fast Sonic ran...
A moment or two ensued, then she rang the doorbell.]
no subject
He looks at the girl beside him and smirks.]
If this is a date, why are you bringing me along?
no subject
[After quickly washing his hands, he zips to the door, not wanting to keep Sheryl waiting too long]
Your timing is impeccable, Sheryl Nome. I just finished preparations for dinner. [he glances quickly at Zoro, simply noting that there was one more person in the doorway than he had been anticipating] I didn't realize you were bringing a shinki along, but-
[Wait. Wait, this is not just any shinki, he knew this one. His eyes go wide as looks back to Zoro, his hand coming up to cover his mouth before his grin gets too wide] It's you! Are we finally going to have the chance to have our fight?
no subject
[Zoro sure knows how to rile Sheryl up, causing her cheeks to puff up a little, but right as Sonic is in her line of vision, her expression seamlessly shifts into a calm, pleasant one as she fixes the hat plopped on her head.]
Of course, Hermes. I can't be late to a friend's dinner, after all. That'd be tacky.
[Not to mention very rude to the host. Her eyes widen all of a sudden, flickering back and forth between Zoro and Sonic before she points.]
I didn't know you two know each other! What do you mean fighting?!
no subject
...Oh.
[He rolls his eye at the interaction between the two gods, but then his vision shifts when he feels Sonic's excitement flaring up around them, and he smirks.]
If you want, I'll give you that fight.
[The he looks down at Sheryl, shrugging.]
Met him a bit after I met you when I got here, promised me a fight, so we gotta fight.

[It's probably not that reassuring. It's probably the opposite of reassuring, considering how wide and toothy it is] I like to test myself, and he looks like a strong opponent. It's nothing personal or anything like that.
[He opens the front door a little wider, stepping out of the way and beckoning them in] Come on, the track is in the back. I'll give Sheryl Nome my demonstration, and then we can have our match!
no subject
Boys are so silly, geez!
[With a slight roll of her eyes, she steps inside the temple, taking a quick look at her surroundings as she takes her hat off. Once Sonic mentions the demonstration, however, her expression changes into one of perked up interest.]
The track is where you do all your exercises, right? I can't wait to see it.
no subject
And of course, wherever Sonic goes, Zoro will turn the opposite way, without a word, so good luck finding him, probably in a bathroom.]
no subject
[As for Zoro... it's literally a straight shot from the front door to the back door. The wide open nature of the temple means you can see the back door from the front door. You can see the looming structure of the obstacle course through the sliding glass doors. Zoro, what are you doing?]
Most of my training I do outside, yes, but there is a room in the basement full of indoor equipment and weight machines. It doesn't see the kind of use that the track does, but I make certain not to neglect training my upper body strength.
[Sonic pauses as they pass through the kitchen area at the sliding glass doors to the back.] Um. Where did the green-haired one go?
no subject
[Sheryl could complain but she interrupts her own words instead, taking in the looming structure of the obstacle course as Sonic explains. Her eyes widen incredulously at the sight, and she lets out a small "aaaah" sound.]
That's right, you have to train your whole body to be strong. Smart man.
[Following Sonic, she cranes her head and notices a certain lack of green-haired shinki... welp. This is her cue to slap her forehead, releasing an exasperated noise with the slightest flaring of nostrils.]
That guy, I swear... he always wanders around whenever he feels like it, geez! We'd better go look for him first.
no subject
Maybe that god guy is as strong as he says.
[He cares very little about the people he was supposed to be with when he notices the weights. He picks the biggest one, raising it on his hand, nodding in approval. He locates the weight bar, setting it up with as many weights as he can lift, and decides to lift it after. It takes him a moment or two, but he gets used to the feeling fast enough.
He stands raising the bar over his head and to his chest, when something occurs to him. What if he does lounges too?
If Sonic and Sheryl wander into the room they'll see Zoro lifting the weights as he does lounges, sweat starting to appear on his body.]

[The demonstration is going to have to start a little early. It's easier for Sonic to just zip around than it is for the both of them to go. He blurs slightly before he's just gone, a rush of air following Sonic's disappearance. The stairs rattle once, then twice as Sonic speeds up and down them, doors slam, then Sonic's voice comes up from the stairs leading to the basement] I've found him!
no subject
'He really IS that fast!' she thinks to herself right when she hears Sonic's voice.]
— Coming!
[An alleviated look spreads across her features as she jogs down the stairs, finding herself at the basement. If Zoro is found, then she can finally sign in relief. He may be a strong, capable man, but she can't help but worry as his goddess.
The expression of concern immediately changes to amusement once she glances at Zoro lifting weights and doing his lunges. She then laughs, smoothing down her dress.]
So that's where you've been all this time, Zoro!
no subject
Yo got lost, and I ended up here.
[He takes of his shirt now because it's so gross ugh.]
Did you finish with the tour thing you were doing?
no subject
[Sorry Sheryl, you'll have to take this one, he's too busy admiring Zoro's physique to respond]
no subject
Instead, however, she simply shifts her eyes back and forth between the two men and laughs out loud.]
Do you like the view, Hermes?
no subject
What are you talking about, woman? There's nothing to see.
no subject
Now, if you would just follow me, we can go outside, where I can properly demonstrate my moves. [he turns around and practically stomps his way up the stairs]
no subject
I beg to differ, but if you say so~
[Isn't it fun to tease people, Sheryl? Yes, it is, shamelessness be damned. Some soft chortling ensues, and she follows him up the stairs with her amusement kept intact before wagging her finger at Zoro.]
Now try not to wander around too much.
no subject
He rolls his eye at Sheryl's finger and sighs.]
I don't wander around.... Walls move.
[He follows her, giving the basement one more look over to make sure he left everything in a good spot.
He left the weights in the way but he can move those later, right?]
no subject
[Once he reached the track, he started doing stretches, the edge of his tank top riding up and exposing a bit of skin each time he lifted his arms over his head.]
no subject
[Huff! Zoro, please.
It doesn't take long for Sheryl to reach Sonic's current location, browsing through her surroundings with great interest. The back doors, the tiled patio, the pool... they all remind her of her own temple, only this place lacks an auditorium for concerts, though she knows Sonic puts all his efforts on athletics.
Her steps slow to a halt midway, and she watches Sonic doing his stretches with a head tilt to the side.]
That's a nice track you have there.
no subject
He watches Sonic stretch, and can't help but chuckle at the man. He wears pretty small clothes doesn't he?]
Yo, sports god, what are we going to do?
no subject
Well, originally, I was going to show Sheryl Nome my speed, but I think she's had a fair taste of it when I went looking for you? [he glances to Sheryl questioningly] I can still run, if you like, but I imagine it'll be less dramatic.
Otherwise- [he points to the obstacle course at the center of the track] There are uneven bars, I can show off my acrobatics, if you like. And when Sheryl Nome is satisfied with my demonstration, we can have our fight?
no subject
[Sheryl points to her current attire, too classy for any activities that involve extreme running, not to mention that Sonic would surely beat her. At any rate, the corners of her lips hitch into a bright smile as she nods.]
Acrobatics, hmm? That'd certainly be interesting to see. Show them to us!
