Who: Speed of Sound Sonic
mybadhabit, Sheryl Nome
galactically, Roronoa Zoro
What: Showing off and sword fights.
When: Evening, April 3rd
Where: Hermes' temple
Warnings: Sonic and Zoro are going to do some "friendly" sparing. (ง •̀_•́)ง
[On the way home from completing the prayer with Ekko to the best of their abilities, Sonic stops by a grocery store. While they had plenty of food for the pair of them, he had invited Sheryl over so that he could show off, and he wanted to make her something nice for dinner. She had been friendly and supportive, and that deserved a measure of gratitude. So he picked up some freshly made pasta, french bread, some seafood, and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Pasta with a wine sauce was a fairly simple meal and it could sit in the oven while they were outside, but he was still sure it'd nice enough to impress.]
[He cooked while waiting for Sheryl to arrive, dressed in yoga pants and a tank top in preparation for the physical activity he'd be performing.]

Yo got lost, and I ended up here.
[He takes of his shirt now because it's so gross ugh.]
Did you finish with the tour thing you were doing?
no subject
[Sorry Sheryl, you'll have to take this one, he's too busy admiring Zoro's physique to respond]
no subject
Instead, however, she simply shifts her eyes back and forth between the two men and laughs out loud.]
Do you like the view, Hermes?
no subject
What are you talking about, woman? There's nothing to see.
no subject
Now, if you would just follow me, we can go outside, where I can properly demonstrate my moves. [he turns around and practically stomps his way up the stairs]
no subject
I beg to differ, but if you say so~
[Isn't it fun to tease people, Sheryl? Yes, it is, shamelessness be damned. Some soft chortling ensues, and she follows him up the stairs with her amusement kept intact before wagging her finger at Zoro.]
Now try not to wander around too much.
no subject
He rolls his eye at Sheryl's finger and sighs.]
I don't wander around.... Walls move.
[He follows her, giving the basement one more look over to make sure he left everything in a good spot.
He left the weights in the way but he can move those later, right?]
no subject
[Once he reached the track, he started doing stretches, the edge of his tank top riding up and exposing a bit of skin each time he lifted his arms over his head.]
no subject
[Huff! Zoro, please.
It doesn't take long for Sheryl to reach Sonic's current location, browsing through her surroundings with great interest. The back doors, the tiled patio, the pool... they all remind her of her own temple, only this place lacks an auditorium for concerts, though she knows Sonic puts all his efforts on athletics.
Her steps slow to a halt midway, and she watches Sonic doing his stretches with a head tilt to the side.]
That's a nice track you have there.
no subject
He watches Sonic stretch, and can't help but chuckle at the man. He wears pretty small clothes doesn't he?]
Yo, sports god, what are we going to do?
no subject
Well, originally, I was going to show Sheryl Nome my speed, but I think she's had a fair taste of it when I went looking for you? [he glances to Sheryl questioningly] I can still run, if you like, but I imagine it'll be less dramatic.
Otherwise- [he points to the obstacle course at the center of the track] There are uneven bars, I can show off my acrobatics, if you like. And when Sheryl Nome is satisfied with my demonstration, we can have our fight?
no subject
[Sheryl points to her current attire, too classy for any activities that involve extreme running, not to mention that Sonic would surely beat her. At any rate, the corners of her lips hitch into a bright smile as she nods.]
Acrobatics, hmm? That'd certainly be interesting to see. Show them to us!
no subject
I haven't seen you run, can you show me?
[He looks at Sheryl up and down, and laughs.]
I'd like to see you run in that.
[Then he goes quiet, waiting for whatever it is that Sonic is going to do for Sheryl to happen. Zoro expects it to be amazing, considering the installations and the god's physique.]
no subject
You may wish to stay back from the track. [He shoos them back a little bit, then gets into position on the track. He gives them a little bit of time to move, then he starts running. Ten steps in, his form blurs, then there's a crack of thunder and a rush of wind towards the space where he used to be. There's a second rush a few seconds later as he completes a lap, whizzing by too fast to be seen by most people.]
[Six seconds after he started running, he comes a halt, blurring into place standing proudly on the track, hands on his hips and a smirk on his face]
no subject
[Zoro's response evokes a faint smirk upon Sheryl's lips, swishing her hips to let the bottom half of her dress billow out around her legs. But first thing in the agenda: watching Sonic's entire body turn into a speedy blur across the track. She's already moved to a safer distance, watching him go round and round with the sounds of thunder and wind.
When Sonic finally stops, Sheryl stands there with her jaw slacked, eyes as wide as saucers like she'd just seen a fighter plane zoom past the speed of fold waves.
And then she claps.]
no subject
He joins Sheryl's clapping, amazed, when Sonic stops soon after.]
Holy crap you're fast!
no subject
no subject
You're a lot faster than the variable fighters I've seen back home!
no subject
[Zoro says, scratching his ear. He turns to look at Sheryl, one eyebrow raised.]
What kind of fighters were there where you're from?
no subject
[He's heard it almost every other time he's introduced himself]
I assume she's referring to fighter planes, since she's from space. Interesting that they'd be so slow, though.
no subject
That's right. Variable fighters are special machines that can transform into several modes for combat. Remember that pretty boy I told you about yesterday, Hermes? Alto actually pilots one of those planes.
[Sheryl states in a matter of fact way, folding her arms across her bust with a thoughtful expression. She once remembers piloting one.]
They're not slow! You're just too fast!
no subject
Fast McFasty.
[Zoro half listens to what the gods are saying, not really caring for whatever-- Wait, except one thing. He looks at Sheryl, slightly surprised]
You're from space?!
no subject
[He turns to Zoro with a glower, flipping him the bird] You're going to be feeling my speed soon if you keep that up, Avocado head.
no subject
[Or Sheryl just forgot to tell Zoro and Eno her previous whereabouts, it's possible. She arches an eyebrow at Sonic, huffing.]
I'll have you know that we travel faster than the speed of light with fold waves! Communication and distance go very far through space with the right tools. [She pauses, mulling over her words with a frown.] I mean, okay, so there are still limitations in place, but it's so high tech that it'd be better if you were there to see it.
no subject
[Zoro listens in, trying to decipher what Sheryl is saying, but not caring that much really. He does smirk at Sonic though.]
Go ahead and try me, speedy.
