[ The points of Grell's teeth press into her bottom lip, as she taps 'Send'.

Yes, she's feeling a tad anxious; she'd made a grievous mistake last night, and hasn't any idea how to make up for it. It isn't often that she regrets her actions - far more rare, is for her to bother addressing it at all.

This is William, however. More specifically, this concerns how she'd just thrown away the opportunity to taste success after a century-long pursuit of his affections. At the time, it made perfect sense to her, but now...

Now, she stands outside the entrance to his temple, waiting. Intruding would not do her any favors, at the moment, and she wouldn't care to bother with his shinki, either. Not while she has so much on her mind, and must command herself to focus. ]

Just splendid.

[ That familiar, exasperated look William always gets about him when Grell just won't listen, shows on his face. But his words are less serious than they would have been if the topic at hand was simply work related. His features quickly soften again and his hands find their way to rest atop Grell's thighs, just below the hem of her shorts. ]

Seems we both have quite the task laid out for us.

[ Grell leans in, smiling and chuckling against the other's lips. ]

That's why we've one another.

[ And she kisses him, then, sweet and lingering. ]

[ He doesn't feel he needs to reply in this moment. At least, not verbally. His hands shifting up and about her waist, pulling her body closer to his, should say enough. An acknowledgement that he's willing to take on this challenge and work through healing from their difficult pasts together. ]

[ Her breath wavers at the press of their bodies, sweltering in emotion. With wandering hands, her fingers thread into William's hair, and she seeks to deepen their kiss by parted lips. ]

Just tell me when I'm doing something wrong. Don't hide it from me.

[ He speaks quietly between each kiss - between the touch of their tongues and the brief grazing of Grell's teeth against his lips. ]

[ Oh, like this, William could convince her to do anything he'd like. Sighing between them, she carefully rakes her fingers over his scalp. ]

You needen't worry about that, darling. I'd sooner be the one to drive you mad, I think...

[ A likely possibility, she thinks. This is all too good to be true, and she very well knows that William couldn't do anything to make her think less of him. ]

[death_glare]

I am surprised you haven't done so already.

[ Said almost jokingly. Or as close to joking as William is capable of sounding. Idly he wonders if that would just make things easier. Give up on that ultimate reaper goal, discard their glasses and attempt to make this afterlife worth something on its own. The idea comes accompanied by a brief but thoughtful hum. ]

[ Grell pulls away just enough to give him a proper look, brow quirked and lips puckered off to the side! It doesn't last long, though; she's still too love drunk, and quickly becomes distracted with nuzzling William all over again. ]

What are you thinking, mm?

[death_glare]

[ He hadn't noticed the sound that escaped him, so it throws him off when she inquires. It was just a brief thought, one he probably shouldn't tell Grell, in case she were to take him seriously. Besides, aren't they almost living that life by being here? ]

Nothing. Just glad I took this chance with you.

[untodeath]

[ Falling silent for a long moment, Grell almost shyly peers up to meet his gaze, searching his eyes with some disbelief. ]

Really? [ She near whispers the words. ]

[death_glare]

[ He keeps eye contact with Grell as he speaks. ]

I wouldn't say so if I didn't mean it. Nor would I have you in my bed.

[untodeath]

[ The corners of her mouth twinge into a flustered little smile - and, not knowing what to say, she does what she'd best at - ]

When you say it like that, it sounds as though you'll make a proper woman of me, now.

[death_glare]

I've told you that won't be happening.

[ Though his hands do squeeze at her hips after trailing down along her back. ]

You have already gotten me to do far more than I anticipated on this date of ours.

[untodeath]

[ That squeeze will have her shift her hips against his thumbs, a pleased little hum rolling from her lips. ]

Offering me too much credit may give me a big head, you know.

[ See what she did there? She teasingly winks with a chuckle. ]

No, but... I'm glad, too. Very glad.

[death_glare]

[ That little innuendo will get an unamused glare from him, the way they usually do. ]

You best be pleased with it, as well.

[untodeath]

[ A vague hum of agreement is what William will receive, as the redhead shifts to sit back over his hips, resting her hands over that which hold her own. ]

I'd like to suggest something bold, Will - but I'd like you to know, I don't expect anything to come of it, as it may sound.

[death_glare]

And what would that be?

[ Since she has his hands pinned at her waist, he takes the moment to continue massaging the spot with gentle squeezes. ]

[ That feels incredibly nice, and draws a contents little sigh from her. ]

Shower with me, before breakfast.

[death_glare]

[ There's a decently long pause as William's eyes shift from Grell's, over to the entrance to the master bath, then back again. ]

Fine. But control those wandering hands of yours.

[ And in the most romantic William-style way possible, he proceeds to get up and head towards the bath, leaving Grell to topple off his lap in the process. ]

[ Oh, wow, did he ACTUALLY say YE--

And with a surprised little exclamation, she's slipping off the bed! In some attempt to save herself from the graceless fall, she also takes the comforter right along with her. ]

That would have been the perfect opportunity to carry me, you know! [ She huffs, pouting, whilst rubbing at her sore bottom. ]

[death_glare]

You are perfectly capable of walking yourself.

[ He says as he disappears into the other room. Grell will hear the sudden patter of water hitting cool marble walls as William starts up the shower. And when she finally picks herself up to join him, he'll be in front of the mirror, casually cleaning off his glasses with a dampened cloth. ]

[ Sighing loudly, Grell is able to pick herself up without much effort, indeed - and she makes it a point to leave the blanket as it is, for him to pick up later.

Approaching behind William, she slips her arms about his waist - and lightly nips at the back of his neck! Just a bit of retribution. ]

You could make it up to me by undressing first.

[death_glare]

[ Glasses slid back up the bridge of his nose, William regards Grell in the slowly fogging mirror. ]

No biting either. And, I can't very well do so with you clinging to me as you are.

[untodeath]

Not even a little, mn?

[ But she'll chuckle, before stepping away to release him. Instead, she joins him at the vanity, turning to lean back against the counter with a tilt of the head. It's her turn to shamelessly watch him strip down to his underthings. ]

[death_glare]

Absolutely not. Or I will keep all of this on and you can bathe yourself.

[ Reaching behind his head, William draws the back of his shirt up, slowly removing it and exposing the lean, toned chest beneath. He doesn't make a show of it, though, and neatly folds the t-shirt to place aside. ]
