Samhain for the Dagda's win
Who: Shizuo and open to anyone!
When: October 31st (afternoon) into the beginning of November
Where: An Dagda's Abode - The Western District
Summary: So, Shizuo died. Except he didn't go home when he disappeared. It turns out he was just changing positions. Tags will likely be in bracket format- the log is written this way mostly for setting things up.
1. The Rise - October 31st
The Celtic gods that had a stretch of forest as part of their temple lands would find that on this 'spooky' day, one that's a little more sacred to their pantheon, it's grown to be a little more expansive than last night. Or even earlier in the day. If they continued, they'd realize that eventually the flora grows to be far more lush and alive, with a considerable amount of wildlife in it. In the distance, which would actually be the front of the new temple grounds, searching through would lead the person past a river and to the bottom of a cliff face. One that would seem to have no easy climb, even with the support beam to the partially suspended building atop it. However, if one was patient or perceptive enough, they'd be able to find the tunnel entrance that would ascend into the cliff and to... Well, one would have to go through to find out that it was another entrance into the temple home.
The front of the temple grounds were marginally better landscaped, with the circle of shrines to the new god on open front lawn before showing the single story building
It certainly wasn't the kind of thing that Shizuo had been expecting to wake to- In the unfamiliar bed, or with scars that he's pretty sure weren't there the last he remembered. At least, the last he remembered back in Ikebukuro. To those that had learned of his disappearance and were trying to find him, he's appeared again! Some had even received confused responses to the messages that were left from the past four days.
(Other Celtic gods don't have to have the connection or close proximity. It's something that was discussed with one and I'm leaving open for the others to choose)
2. A Strange Familiarity
Between it already getting late and having the daze of being in a new place, Shizuo doesn't actually leave the temple grounds until the following day. While he had some idea of the Far Shore, it's through one out of context memory with two people he didn't really know that has him walking through the districts. The place seemed both expansive and close-knit at the same time. He wasn't much of a message board person in the first place, so asking that way didn't actually feel right.
Of course this meant stopping by people he's about to walk by to get their attention, having no sense of recognition in his expression. "Ah, sorry. This is kind of out of nowhere, but you don't happen to know a guy that has similar looks to mine, or a teenaged girl with short red hair, about this height?"
He'd motion to someone that was almost a foot shorter than him.
Until he actually had seen Yona or Izumo. Which is where it seemed easier to ask about them than say anything to them directly. Probably because it's hard to ask a near stranger whether or not you had a movie marathon with them.
3. Wildcard
(AKA Obligatory 'whatever else you want'. You know where to hit me for plotting.)

2!!! ahhhhhhhhh
And then she just sort of.... freezes, her eyes wide and shocked as she stares at him. ]
Shizuo? Shizuo?!
[ And then the redhead is launching herself at him in a relieved hug, her eyes burning with unshed tears. ] I've been so worried! [ He is spontaneously hugged for a moment before she pulls back and slugs him in the stomach, which is the easiest place to reach and also the least likely to break her hand. ] Where have you been?!
[ In her shocked relief, it hasn't dawned on her that she.... still can't feel her former connection with him. ]
no subject
Easy, you're going to hurt yourself doing that.
[ Despite the connection, there was something more that was happening here- He had her hand, with a firm but gentle grip to guide it back down to her side. ]
To be honest, I don't really have an answer for your question. Sorry for worrying you...
[ Ah... He didn't know her name, though. That and if people said it, he had trouble remembering it at this point. ]
Uh, kiddo.
[ Saved it. ]
no subject
[ Her voice is still choked with emotion as he catches her fist before it can make impact. She doesn't think twice about that move, because it is still so innately the Shizuo she knows. ]
You don't know where you've been? Do you know what happened to you? What do you know?
no subject
I'm not a shinki anymore. The only thing I remember from that time is us and one other watching a lot of movies in one go, and some other things around that time. So I can't tell you where I've been or what happened. Just the basics of who I am, where I'm from and anything from my life that I feel like sharing.
[ Though Yona already had a glimpse into some of those things. ]

Wariness flickers across Hakkai's face as he pauses.
Bon, next to him, doesn't hesitate in the least to bound happily forward and jump at Shizuo. Since the dog easily outweighs Hakkai, that's quite a jump.]
Are you looking for them-- Bon! No! Sit!
no subject
Yeah. They're the only ones I have an idea to look for right now.
[ Still no recognition in those eyes for the god that was before him now, however. ]
no subject
Instead, the dog, thrilled to have found someone who doesn't fall over when tackled, is barking and wriggling in an attempt to get close enough to put his paws on Shizuo's shoulder and lick his face.]
Forgive me for a question you may have heard already today, but do you know who I am?
[Did he return the way some people return -- the way Genjo had returned -- with no memory of the place at all?
Or did he return as though he'd been killed?]
no subject
Am I supposed to? Sorry, I know some people are supposed to be gods here-
[ Somehow he was one of them, which was truly baffling. ]
-but I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a way to recognize who they are instantly.

He straightens up, feeling the need for a cigarette immediately and just kind of continues to stare at him.]
...Shizuo? [WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?]
no subject
Yeah. Uh... Hi.
[ How do you say that while you seem to know each other, he actually has no idea who this bartender actually is? ]
I asked around and someone said I'd probably find you here.
no subject
It makes the nagging feeling in his gut grow worse, but he does gesture for him to take a seat.]
Do you know who I am? [Because if Shizuo did, he could've easily called Izumo up or come to the bar first. If Shizuo's forgotten him, then he's not sure how to even react to that. Or how Yona would.]
no subject
I know that, for some reason, we watched a bunch of movies with one other person. I don't really know you, or why.

1 -- SCREAMS @ U
Oh so, getting lost in it is totally okay- wait.
Upon further inspection he does find the river, he does find the cliff and surely enough, he does find the entrance. If it's open it doesn't count as breaking in, right? He's just checking why his -not-his- forest is getting new tracts of land. By the time he reaches the living part of the building it becomes incredibly obvious-
He's trespassing on someone's temple grounds, oops. ]
Always knew you were a screamer /eyebrows
When Caster gets into the temple building, he'd realize that it's very hardwood and domestic. A modern domestic, given the appliances and furniture and the clothes of the owner in the kitchen. The blond owner that's turning around from the fridge while drinking milk, only to pause when he realizes there's a sudden uninvited guess.
The nearly empty bottle shatters in his hand. ]
The hell do you think you're doing in here?
the secret is out, what should i do
You might want to lock the door by the river. [ He's innocent here and totally not dangerous. Listen, he even has an excuse ] My forest grew bigger overnight so I went to investigate. Didn't expect to find a new temple.
[ And a new god. A new familiar god. ]
Scream more
[ Even more, why does your voice sound familiar? It's plain to see that the stranger wasn't someone from Ikebukuro, so they didn't cross paths there. ]
Yeah, I just ended up here somehow with something saying that I'm 'the Dagda' up here, so- Ah. Right, you're the guy that called me like we knew each other.
[ Now he put the voices together. Hey, at least they didn't make him your dad, Cu. ]
that sounds like a request, not an order
The orders are over in a psl

But he hasn't seen him in forever! It makes him perk as he picks up speed and swoops down to smash into Shizuo!]
SHIZUO!
[Is the split second warning he gets before Goten attempts to fly-hug-tackle him!]
no subject
He wasn't expecting some kid shouting his name from out of his immediate view. Not what you usually see every day. In fact, it has him taking a step or two back...
And to the side, with his arm out to catch the kid instead of taking the full tackled hug. ]
Easy kid. You're gonna hurt someone like that.
[ Maybe not him, but if this were at anyone else? Who knows. ]
no subject
Yeah but you're not someone! You're you! You can take a lot more than that, Shizuo!
[He grins cheekly at him. He's seen what the blond is capable of. Maybe next time he shouldn't shout his name if he's planning on tackle hugging him next time.]

Alas, it was not.
Now she was running, trying not to trip over branches as she tried to get away from her pursuer. It's hooves pushed against the ground with such strength, and yet moved with such elegance. Sadly, Alex didn't have time to admire the creature. It looked far too pissed. ]
I'm sorry..!!! Whatever I did, I'm sorry..! Please, stop!!
[ How was it that these things happened whenever she was wearing the wrong shoes? ]
no subject
The screaming definitely alerted him to the fact that there was a problem.
Alex would have to run for a bit, wrong shoes be damned, before Shizuo finally crosses the path of the elk and grabs it by the antlers- Just at enough speed to pull it down to the ground and fall to its side. ]
Right, that's enough.
[ It's fine. He'll just hold it down until it seems to calm down. In the interim, Shizuo finally looks towards the person who screamed. ]
Ah... You okay?
no subject
Shizuo..!
[ She hadn't seen him in quite a while, now that she thought about it. ]
Yeah..thank you. What are you doing all the way out here?

So no, he doesn't expect it. However, he goes along with whatever it is. He does enter the tunnel entrance and goes up to the temple it's attached to.
And looks around. Very confused.]
...A new temple?
no subject
The building itself is far more modern, simple in the design but wide and clean. The living area the door opens into has one side covered with windows that look overhead the wide forest-
Well, forests.
Hearing the voice, Shizuo comes out of the kitchen. ]
The hell- another one? Lemme guess. You saw a tunnel and decided to just go exploring in it.
no subject
[He gives a bow towards him before standing up.]
I was going through the forest next to Mister Caster's temple, and I didn't recognize this part. I can leave, if you wish.
[And he'll probably start attempting to do that...]
