Where: Near Shore, a bar somewhere
What: Rowdy patrons need to be controlled! Unleash the Niles!

[Leo settles in at the table he and Niles had claimed when they got to the bar, ready for a long night of keeping people from getting too drunk.]

We can do this one of two ways. Make them so uncomfortable they leave sober or turn the alcohol into something...less. Or we could do both. Thoughts?

[Leo nods and leads the way outside to where, sure enough, the ayakashi causing most of the problems can be seen bouncing around between signs.]

[Fighting, that is, not standing around and gawking.]

[Or: does Niles want to stay human as long as possible or go book-form now?]

The stage of hitting an ayakashi with a book.

Do you think getting it to beat itself on your shield will work, or should we crush it against you?

Let's crush it. It'll be the most satisfying.

You know, I should really remember that if there's a choice between bloodthirsty and calm you will almost always choose bloodthirsty.

[Whatever. Leo switches Niles for Brynhildr for a moment to summon trees and lure the ayakashi their way.]

[deniles]

Bloodthirsty is my middle name, after all.

[It seems to work, at least, and the ayakashi comes towards them.]

[Leo grabs Niles and starts to pull the ayakashi in with his god-ability, bashing it against the shield.]

The only time I wish I had a sword, if only because it's faster to finish them off with a sword when they're barely hanging on.

[deniles]

If only we had another shinki who could be a sword.

[One that Niles won't bitch fight with this time.]

Only if you promised to behave a little this time.

[deniles]

I make minimal promises on that.

I said a little. Just no driving them to murder.

I promise I won't drive them to cold blooded murder.

[The damn ayakashi is finally nearing death. Leo yawns.]

Think it's ready?

[He's ready. And it looks ready.]

[Leo, for all of his extra melodramatic tendencies, doesn't bother with the fancy chants when they're dealing with ayakashi. He simply bashes against Niles's shield as he rends it.]

There. Return, Niles.

[deniles]

[Niles nods, turning back into his regular form.]

Well. That takes care of that. Hopefully.

For now, at any rate. Do you want to stay here and drink or head home?

[deniles]

I think I need a drink. Are you going to join me then?

[brynwieldr]

For a little bit, I guess. They had a mixed drink that looked interesting.

I think a mixed drink sounds good as well. Especially with the fact that we mostly have straight booze at home.
