"My young daughter has gone missing! She's been avoiding the family a lot lately, but even this is a bit much to be gone for several days at a time, don't you think? I hope she haven't gotten into anything too serious...

[While it does sound like the usual case of a teenager going awol or through a rebellion phase, Izumo figured he'd check it out, anyway. It doesn't sound like anything that would be too difficult. Really, from the sound of it, it's more like a scouting mission in hopes to find the wayward teenager and her parents just wanted her home.

Well, at least Izumo is familiar with the concept of runaway teens, having adopted some of them himself over the years.

Still, it sounds suspicious enough that he does go check it.

This time, he's just bringing Fushimi along for the ride.]

Fushimi rolls his eyes and digs out his phone, seemingly bored. Shifting to get his phone out meant he could shift his weight and prepare a few knives without drawing suspicion though.]

Define "recently."

Look, kid. All we did was mind our own business and trying to stay away from that other gang.

[That earns Izumo's interest.]

What other gang?

[The man shrugs.]

Some weird gang that's been forming around lately. Word has it they just recruited a girl into their ranks. They tried to recruit us, too, saying that we'll be filled with "good luck" or whatever if we join them.

Tch, found 'em. Where are they?

Why does it matter? It's not like--

[Izumo flashes them a smile, causing the leader to swallow.]

Uh, last I heard, there's some kind of meeting in the back alley behind that bakery on the corner!

[monkeyblue]

If they're lying, I get to come back and make them tell the truth, right?

[Izumo is being scary, so that means Fushimi is going to lean into the instability a little bit. Just to make it worse.]

Absolutely.

[The men pales.]

And you're free to use whatever method you'd like as well.

[In response, Fushimi lets one of his daggers fall into his hand and flips it a few times.]

Hope you're telling the truth, boys.

[A merry wave before he begins walking to where the men told them about.]

[And Fushimi follows.]

Tch. You have too much fun encouraging me.

[He snickers.]

It isn't so bad to encourage you once in a while. I'm sure you wouldn't mind letting loose either.

Nothing ever wrong with that. I once burned a guy's face off on a job.

[It was the guy's fault for being so stubborn.]

Probably because you understand me so well.

[He says this a little cheerfully.

But it is a few minute's walk to that bakery mentioned. The closer they get, there's a couple of nervous looking men that seems to scan their surroundings before ducking into that alley.]

[Fushimi follows Izumo, nodding when he spots the men.]

Found 'em?

[Izumo keeps walking, turning to the alley.]

They don't seem to the best at this.

[monkeyblue]

They're going around talking about being lucky. People like that don't have the most sense.

It makes me worried about future generations.

[Honestly...]

[monkeyblue]

....aren't you maybe twenty?

[toremainbehind]

...I'm twenty-seven.

[Izumo's an old man.]

I'm not that old to be your dad.

[That's some relief at least.]

[Izumo sends him a look for that.

But then he shifts his gaze.]

It shouldn't be too hard. There are multiple choices: pretending to join to get in, barging in, or sneaking in. Take your pick.
