[Roxas can be found all over the place, 50% of the time accompanied by a cat of huge size, his orange Maine Coon Jellybean. Like a tiny guardian cat.

He's up for pretty much anything, especially food related things.]

[ thankfully pyrrha hasn't strayed too far from roxas, and he's in a place where she can see him. (she's very tall.) she walks over to him and looks down at their target--a young boy who's chewing on the tip of his pencil, brow furrowed as he looks down at what appears to be some kind of study guide. ]

Well...he does fit the criteria, so I'd say we found him.

... whatever he's studying looks like a foreign language to me.

[That's because Roxas can't read Japanese.]

How should we help him? Cheer him on?

[ because he's stressed apparently!! ]

Oh- it does! [ ... ] I can't quite read it, either. [ so she's really no help there. but... there are still general strategies they can do! ]

How about we suggest flash cards? That'll be good for vocabulary practice, at the very least.

[Not sure what those are, but Pyrrha was the smart on here. So that's the idea to go for.

Roxas leans in close to the kid to get his attention.]

Hi! Why don't you try flash cards?

[ the boy finally looks up from his textbook in surprise. when did this guy get here?! he jumps back, dropping his pencil, before he composes himself again. ]

"Oh- uh, f-flash cards?"

[ pyrrha nods, peering over roxas' shoulder. ] Yes, flash cards! I think they'd be helpful for doing vocabulary drills. Do you have any index cards on you?

[ the boy shakes his head. ] "No, I don't."

Then we can get them for you. [ she looks over at roxas. ] Index cards are small pieces of paper about this size. [ she makes a rectangle with her thumbs and index fingers. ] I can explain more about how flash cards work once we find them.

[Sorry for scaring you, but it's not their fault they're practically invisible to humans.

Roxas listens to Pyrrha and nods, running off in the direction of where those might be. He saw someone with something similar, and though it takes a while, the tiny blond comes back with a pack of them.]

I asked someone nicely for some and they gave me a whole stack!

Y-You did?

[ way to go, roxas! she grins at him and takes the cards from him before handing them to the boy. ]

Good work! [ to the student: ] Okay, so put the definition on one side, and write the word in...Japanese, is it? [ he nods. ] Yes, write that on the other side. Do that for your entire vocabulary list.

[ and while the student gets to work... pyrrha faces roxas again. ] I know I've done this before; I'm just not sure why.

[Maybe he looks like a kid who needed a whole stack? Roxas also apparently has a smile not many people can say 'no' to if Jakob was any indication...

He listens as Pyrrha explains flashcard use. Handy!]

Maybe you were a good student when you were alive? I don't think I've ever studied in my life...

It's entirely possible.

[ she gets a little sheepish, but the student gets to work. while he works on making his flash cards, pyrrha decides to try to get to know her friend a little better. ]

Where have you been staying, Roxas? I was wondering why you haven't been at the temple lately.

[missingache]

[Pyrrha is a lot more put together than Roxas is for sure. She's like a role model as to how a shinki should be.

Roxas tilts his head.]

With my first god. I didn't want to take up a room at Shiro's, so I just go back to the other temple. And I've been wandering around following Jellybean. He likes to explore.

[incinerators]

[ she tilts her head. ]

May I ask who your first god is?

[missingache]

His name is Son Hak. He... hasn't been around much, which is why I'm mostly with Shiro for anything important.

[Like Son Hak doesn't want a kid shinki.]

[incinerators]

Ah. Is that why you switched over to Shiro?

[missingache]

I wouldn't say switched... they're both my gods. I have two names.

[incinerators]

Ah! You're a Nora - I'm sorry, I hadn't realized.

[missingache]

I guess since my name's aren't visible people can't tell right away.

[Not unless he takes his shirt off.]

Well... Regardless, we're all glad to have you on our team. And I hope that your other god is treating you well, at least?

I like this team a lot, so thanks. [....] I guess he is? He just teases sometimes.

I'm sure that's because he appreciates you.

[ affectionate teasing. ]

Maybe... I just want to be useful to him.

[Does he... sound sad?]

I'm sure you are, Roxas. You're a fantastic shinki.

[ she puts a hand on his shoulder. ]
