Take care of those you call your own [Semi-open]
Who: Temple Serapis + Extended CR
When: February 14th, afternoon through evening.
Where: Serapis' Temple
What: A dinner for these losers who don't have Valentine's day dates.
Pre-Dinner
[Keith isn't expecting this to be a particularly large event, considering the holiday. Surely there are plenty of people indulging in dates or monster-slaying through the day, but with no particular affinity to the former, and Shiro being gone for the day to make the latter more difficult, Keith wants to do something as a show of... "celebration," as it were.
So, a meal it is.
Anyone particularly close to him is likely to receive a text message reading along the lines of 'Dinner tonight, if you're interested. Serapis temple, bring a friend or two if you want.' Showing up early will net visitors... well, pretty much free-reign over exploring the temple itself. If you're invited, you're being trusted not to make a mess out of anything! It's a pretty large temple, so there's plenty of space to roam around and a multitude of rooms to be exploring. There's a training room, if you want to work up an appetite that way! Or go hang out at the indoor pool, but maybe that won't be much fun if you didn't have the foresight to bring a swimsuit. The lounge area is pretty cozy, and a good enough place to strike up a conversation with whoever might be relaxing there as well. Going deep enough into the temple will probably let you stumble upon the Red Lion settled in its hangar, neat!
Of course, if you're the type who just wants to just hang out with one of the animals living here, there are a number of fairly friendly and completely normal cats, as well as one large, blue, much less normal wolf who are more than willing to accept any and all attention directed their way.]
Dinner
[While the goal is for a relatively small gathering, Keith still isn't taking any chances as far as making 'just enough' food for the night, so while the menu isn't terribly varied, there is at least enough for everyone to come back for seconds of pretty much everything, should they be interested.
To keep with a more laid-back and causal atmosphere, the meal is largely self-serve. There's a large pot of mild curry left simmering gently at the stove to take from, a stir-fry consisting of chicken and various vegetables, as well as a frankly ridiculous amount of rice to pair with it all. There are a number of different canned sodas and juices to drink, and through the evening, Keith makes an effort to make sure there's fresh coffee available (it goes great with the curry, he insists).
It's literally impossible to try and keep any of the animals out of the dinning areas, though, so don't be surprised if you find yourself with one of the critters vying for a bite or two or three of your meal. The wolf takes big bites, maybe stay away from feeding him too much.]
After Dinner
[For all his efforts, however, Keith is... not really much of a party planner. This wasn't even really a party in the first place, but visitors are allowed to stick around to chat for as long as they'd like. Got some idea for a game they could scrape together on the fly? There should be enough people to rope in for a game of charades, or maybe someone had the smart idea to bring a deck of cards with them. The only limit is your imagination...! Unless you're game for a few rounds in the temple's invisible maze, though that might be a pretty frustrating way to cap off the night.
On the other hand, anyone coming back from a date/ayakashi hunt should be able to find themselves with some still-warm leftovers to pick at, if they worked up an appetite or found their own dinners to be less filling than desired.]

I don't give him anything with spices or onions. Or grapes. Those things will make him sick. [Yes, he's studied up on what his companion can and can't eat.]
I don't give your puppy anything he can't have either.

Good to know you've done your homework. [Thank goodness for that! The cats surely appreciate it as well.] And, you know, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he could eat things normal wolves don't. He seems pretty content with getting meat as a treat, though.
[Lots of tasty meat!!]

SINCE WHEN]
Y-Yeah... meat's good for them.

They're relying on us to take care of them, so they deserve to be taken care of well. [It's just nice to see someone take an interest in actually figuring this stuff out first instead of winging it, he knows he'd feel awful if something he did got one of the cats or The Good Boy sick.] I'm sure Jellybean appreciates the consideration.

LOOK
He's a dumb little shinki, okay?]
He does, and so do the other cats I come across. They're all really happy and healthy now. Some of the strays used to be so skinny till I started taking care of them!
