Where: The BRAND NEW Shelter of Nanshe in the Central District
What: Nanako's Temple has moved and gotten a makeover! So this seems the perfect time to have a party and also to watch the blooming cherry blossoms!


[ Nanako's Temple had moved once before, so that in itself wasn't all that surprising, especially after almost an entire year here now. But she hadn't been expecting the Temple to change completely, adding more rooms and more of a homier vibe than the shrine had had before. Parts of it reminded her a little more of what her big brother's temple had felt like when he'd been here, and she's grateful for that, although she's a little worried because there seems to be so many rooms that she keeps finding in so many nooks and crannies. Maybe her temple just goes on forever now?

Either way, the move timed as it is seems like the perfect excuse to throw a big picnic outdoors on the grounds around her temple, which seems perfectly suited to host a large number of her friends over at any given time. And with her temple surrounded by cherry trees, their blossoms full and colorful right now, it makes the setting an inviting little corner to sit an mingle for a while.

The day before, every single temple in the Heavens would have found a carefully-crafted invitation on their doorstep, the words carefully written out in a childish hand, inviting them to a Cherry Blossom Viewing at Nanshe's Shelter. There's even a carefully drawn little map on the back to show them where to go, since Nanako doesn't want anyone getting lost on their way to the new location.

There are blankets laid out in the grass beneath the trees and on the wood and stone patios are little tables and chairs clustered together invitingly. There is food set out on a stretching buffet, the platters somehow never seeming to run low on food. There are decorations strung up along the outside of the temple and around the trees in pink and creams, although some of them certainly look to have been made or put up by decidedly childish hands.

As for the goddess herself, she flits about the party with a bright smile, happy to see everyone who shows up and making sure her friends are having fun, or maybe introducing herself to anyone she hasn't met yet. ]

Nanako-sama!

[Ken is a pretty excitable dog right now. He has two gods, and now the one has suddenly ended up living right next to the other, in what might be the most convenient arrangement ever. It means that checking in on Nanako, or even where he and Chikusa choose to sleep on any given night(if they ever feel uncomfortable in Hakkai's temple again, or they get mad at Hakkai for some reason), is as easy as going next door.

Besides, there's a party and endless free food. Barring some inappropriate activities with Chikusa, Ken can't think of any needs of his that aren't being met right now.

Ken bounds up to her, one hand full of meat skewers and still chewing what is probably more meat before swallowing and beaming at her.] You're right next door to Hakkai-sama now, byon!

Ken!

[ When he bounds up to greet her, she throws her arms around his waist in an excited hug, tipping her head back to grin up at him. ]

I am! Now I can come visit all the time!

[Ken grins down at her; he's lacking a tail at the moment, but one can see it wagging in the mind's eye nonetheless.] You can come over for dinner, byon! Kakipi and Hakkai-sama make plenty of food! [Granted, Ken's and Goku's table manners are atrocious and may need some adjusting to, even by seven-year-old standards, but if that's the worst thing Nanako has to deal with, she can no doubt cope. And Ken likes the thought of practically everyone he cares about eating together. It's a family thing, and Ken has discovered he likes family things a lot.]

[ Nanako also loves family things a lot. If only because they had always been a rarity to be cherished. It's something she never takes for granted. ]

That sounds like fun! Are you sure Hakkai won't mind?

He'll definitely be fine with it, byon! He likes you, and it's not like it's gonna be extra work or anything. Besides, he knows you're our other god, and you're gonna be right next door now, so there's no reason not to let you come over whenever you want.

I'd like that! [ She grins, excited by the prospect. ] And you can come here anytime you want, too, Ken! The new temple has lots of rooms, so you and Chikusa can have whichever one you want!

I'm gonna need Kakipi, byon. He'll know which is the best room. [Ken says this with confidence. It's not that Ken won't have any input on the decision, of course - he expects, and will in fact demand, to have plenty - but Chikusa's likely to point out flaws and benefits during any room hunt that Ken probably never would have thought of. And they do both need to have a say in the matter in any case - therefore, Chikusa's input is vital, and Ken's not even going to bother looking without him.]

[ Nanako understands that, and is quick to nod eagerly. ]

Yeah! You should pick one out together! I bet you can find the best room. I love my new room, I'll have to show you it. Ken, my bed is a castle!

[ Her eyes are wide in awe at this fact. ]

[Ken's eyes widen at this, in unfeigned and deeply satisfactory awe. Sure, he and Chikusa aren't much for using beds, no matter what shape they might take, but he didn't even know beds could be castles.]

I wanna see, byon! [He's the perfect person for Nanako to show off her new room to, because he's going to be genuinely amazed by everything.]
