The invitations had been sent, the work has been done (and into overtime after certain events), the orders have been made and the scenes have been set. Trying to plan a wedding without a planner can be pretty tough but the support system both men have did help in the long run. A lot of it even with a computer dying in the process. The point was to have a simple affair, no large fanfare considering this was not one of Heaven’s festivals and just a celebration of love between two people. This what both Leo and Aymeric wished for and they did their dammest to make it come to life, to hopefully a successful and eventful day but for all the right reasons.

They earned this happiness. Today is for them and they can share it with comrades and friends and family alike.

He'll have all the time he needs, because Chris is barely better at this point. She laughs nervously, just sort of swaying back and forth slightly as she gives him time to figure it out.

"I suppose you would," she said. "But hey, don't be in a rush to grow up, alright? It'll be over before you know it, and then you'll be wishing you could get a do-over."

Chris certainly does. And she is aware of the irony of saying this to Ebisu, for the record.

[chibisu]

"Oh, I've been told I wouldn't, actually," Ebisu says absentmindedly, still staring down at his feet with a crumpled brow. Carefully, he shuffles one to the side. Is that dancing? He's really not sure it is.

"My exemplar told me that my last incarnation's desire was to not die, and I am to carry out that wish. Since it's still me in the end, I guess I would feel the same if it ever came up?" He doesn't seem to be thinking about his own words that much, instead more focused on the dancing part of this activity.

"Well, I don't mean you'd want to die all over again," she said, blinking a few times in confusion. "I mean like... everyone would like to revisit their childhood, you know? Maybe... avoid all of the bad things that happened, knowing what you know now..."

Her tone indicates she's not really talking about Ebisu at this point.

[chibisu]

...Yeah, you know what, he's starting to see that. Ebisu pauses in his questionable attempts at dancing for a moment to blink up at Chris. It sounds like there's a lo of story to what's going on here, and he's not particularly sure he's entitled to it.

So all he can say in the end is, "There are good things that happen in the now, aren't there?"

"Of course there is," she said, before giving a furtive glance towards the stage where Tsubasa has been performing.

"I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything."

[chibisu]

Dancing is very clearly not happening right this second. Instead, Ebisu eases his hand out just enough that he can pat the back of her knuckles.

"Then that's far more important than anything else, isn't it?"

"... I guess you're right," she says finally, after a bit of a pause where her gaze is held at the stage. She turns back to him with a sigh.

"I guess I'm just not used to getting what I want, even after all this time."

[chibisu]

"Is your salary not enough?" He tilts his head to the side, blinking. Ebisu had certainly thought he was paying her enough, because.... "Or are you saving for something? You should definitely use your salary to get all sorts of things that you like."

That this isn't... exactly a thing that money can completely solve is missing him a little bit. That line of thinking is still something he has to get more used to.

Chris turns back to him, looking shocked.

"Huh? No, no! My salary is fine! That's not the problem!" she said. "It's just... I've had a rough life. I made a ton of mistakes, too, so sometimes I feel like my life is just destined to go badly."

She shook her head. "You're a good boss, don't worry. It's not about money."

[chibisu]

At least that's one relief, then. He'd be worried that, if he wasn't paying her enough, then he wasn't paying his shinki enough, either. Still, if she's satisfied...

"Well, your existence hasn't ended yet, has it?" he says simply. "So things should be fine. I understand that Heaven decrees us gods are just and right in all things, but the domains we rule over are not perfect." He squeezes her hand and smiles. "So I think if things do not become perfect right away, it's alright. You're still here in the present."

"... Where I come from, gods aren't infallible, and I don't feel like that's the case either. But..."

She smiles at him as her hand is squeezed. "... You strike me as pretty 'just' and 'right', so I'll listen to what you have to say."

[chibisu]

"I hope that I can live up to such expectations in this incarnation," he says earnestly. Clearly Heaven had objections on his prior incarnation having any such adjectives, so he'll have to do his best this time around... whatever that might mean.

"So long as you are a god here and have a good relation with those on the Near Shore, you'll have a lot of time to catch up on everything you wanted to do. Now then, are you okay to continue dancing?"

Chris nods, listening as he continues, and then smiles nervously once he reaches the end.

"Heh. Sure, if you're okay with me still being a little bit clumsy."

[chibisu]

"I do not believe that should be an obstacle at all!" says the god most notorious for his own clumsiness and due for tripping over his own feet in five minutes. It'll be fine. Probably. His shinki might have a heart attack, but as long as he doesn't die, well, what's the harm?

"These sort of things can only be made better by doing them often, right?"

"Heh, I guess," Chris said with a short laugh. "Though I'm not sure when I'll have more chances to practice."

[chibisu]

"There are dancing classes!" See, he knows a thing! He's never been to such a thing, clearly, as his feet are demonstrating, but he knows of their existence. "And also, from what I understand, you can do it so long as you have music and a dancing partner. Is that correct?"
