[One of the first thing Lance does, after settling in at Minerva’s temple, is explore the place. He’s sure he’s allowed to - Hifumi won’t mind! And what’s a better way to learn the ropes than to be out there? He wanders through every district, often wearing the distinct armor he woke up with. Sure, he doesn’t know the significance of it, but...it might be a good idea to be protected?

(He has the assumption monsters are common. He might be disappointed, eventually.)

It comes in handy, though, when it comes to exploring the abandoned temples. He clambers up the ruins like a particularly spritely goat, and doesn’t seem to be bothered by all the vines and debris. In fact, if someone runs across him when he’s exploring an old, abandoned temple, they might even hear him laughing like a kid in a candy store.

Otherwise, he’ll just grin and wink at anyone he passes by. Maybe he’ll even throw in a finger gun, if you’re lucky.]

[Guess who’s in Die Jagd? It’s this guy, and he doesn’t look anywhere near impressed with the surroundings.]

That’s definitely fake. You see this, right? [He says to you, fellow patron.] That looks so cheap - there’s no way that’s real!

I don't doubt it. Maybe showing you all my cats is a good start.

How many cats are we talking about? One? Two? Five?

[ He does a quick count in his head. ]

Twelve, I think. Plus the giant robot cats--fifteen.

Yeah.

[ Of course Lance would zero in one the lions. ]

I'll take you to check them out, if you want.

[ He laughs, then jerks his head in the direction of his temple. ]

Then what are we waiting for?

[Lance scrambles down the ruins, immediately heading off in the direction Shiro motioned too.]

We're waiting on you!

Excited to take the lead, huh?

[ He catches up to Lance, annnnnd when they get there-- to the hangar!! There are three--even though Pidge is gone, her lion remains. ]

Lance, meet Red, Black, and Green.

[Hell yes he is. He looks appropriately awed once he sees the lions - they're huge! And they're just here!

But on the other hand...]

Is that seriously what you call them? Their colors?

[galrarm]

Well-- yeah.

[ A pause. ]

It didn't really occur to me to name them. I'm not Black's first pilot, anyway.

You're not? Wow. The first one must have been really unoriginal.

[ He huffs out a little laugh. ]

The man who created them never named them, aside from "Black Lion," "Red Lion"... you get the idea.

You'd think if you go through all the effort of making something, you'd at least give it a cool name.

They're cool enough without a name, honestly.

They can fly. They have jaw blades, too. Tail lasers, mouth cannons... and Black here can increase his speed with a huge pair of wings.

[ He gestures to Red. ]

Red's special is a magma cannon and is the fastest lion. Green has cloaking, and a vine cannon.

They can fly?!

[Okay, all of that is pretty cool, he has to admit. But also...]

How many of them are there? Just these three?

[galrarm]

They can.

[ It's pretty awesome. ]

There are two more. We're missing Blue and Yellow.

[He's a little starstruck right now.]

So there's five of them - it'd be pretty cool if you could complete the set, huh?

It would be pretty cool.

[ A sideways glance-- ]

They can combine into a huge robot.
