Book Party [ota]
Who: Romeo, Elfnein and literally everyone in the heavens. Even if you weren't personally invited every invite came with a +ALL YOUR FRIENDS and there's also a sign. Strangers are just friends these two haven't met yet.
When: 29th April. Afternoon onwards
Where: Temple Smol (Gegute's library)
What: Just the cutest book party the heavens has ever known! Bring your best book!
Arrival
You might have received an invitation, or perhaps you are just passing Gegute’s library but there is an brightly painted sign outside.
Book Party today!
Everyone welcome! Bring your best book or dress up!
Lots of tasty food!
The doors of the temple are open and once you arrive in the lobby there are more bright arrows pointing the way into the library. If you are still stuck mister Goat is at the help desk, he’ll direct any one who needs it!
Activities
The layout of the library hasn’t really changed at all, except a few tables being moved to accommodate activities and all the comfy reading cushions have been brought to a central location. All the shelves are decorated with colourful paper chains and streamers.
Romeo had really enjoyed Yuna’s birthday party with the activities to do so he had copied the idea for Elfnein’s book party! On one table there is material for making bookmarks. You might want to recut the card strips, they are a little wonky. There is ribbon and glitter and colouring pens and glue.
On another there is a cardboard box puppet theatre, painted in a riot of colours with colourful strips of material as curtains. There is some felt and other material, as well as scissors, glue and wool to make puppets with. A sign reads in childish Hirigana. Show your best book!
Food
The invitations had promised lots of tasty food and there sure was a lot! A whole table filled with tasty treats, Romeo had been very very busy! There was a whole tray of chopped fruit, another of vegetables like carrots and cucumber.
There was bread and cheese and two bowls of pasta with different sauces. Another bowl of noddles with meat and vegetables. There was a huge bowl of rice too with a tray of grilled fish and a bowl of broccoli and asparagus.
An entire part of the table was taken up by apples and things with apples in them, apple turnovers and even an attempt at an apple pie, it was a bit smushed but probably tasted fine.
There was a tray of very misshapen cookies with messy icing and another of even messier cupcakes with far too much buttercream. There were also churos and a chocolate Gateaux, these seemed to have been bought rather than made, Romeo hadn’t even known where to start it making them!
There was an attempt at making books and other shapes out of rice and vegetables packed in the two bento boxes Ebisu’s temple had given him for Christmas, but they were a bit crumbly, misshapen or just plain strange. In the centre of Romeo’s bento attempts was his magical bento box, every time it was opened there were different fancy bento creations, if the children’s attempts left a lot to be desired.
Have fun!

[Ginia is surprised at the recognition, but not put off by it. She's made several public posts, been around at various events, and obviously can't talk. It's not like she doesn't recognize Natsuru either.]
And you're Natsuru? I've seen you perform with Hibiki.
no subject
[She seems a little sad for a moment. Thinking about it just made it hit her how she misses being able to talk with Celty at all.]
Ah, a-anyway, I think maybe Alex-nee mentioned you too? And I've seen you on the network! But, um. Yeah... I'm Natsuru...
[She's starting to blush now. Seeing each other around on the network isn't strange, that much is perfectly normal. But even now, she's still not used to meeting people and hearing that they've seen her perform!]

It's nice to finally meet you. It's a little amazing how people can see each other around or hear about each other and never meet.
no subject
[Some have gone, and some have newly arrived, but there's plenty who have just... been around, and Natsuru's never had the opportunity to properly meet them. With a big, happy smile, she looks up from her bookmark to Ginia again. A soft giggle might have slipped out, the bittersweet thought popping into her mind that at least knowing where to look is easier with her than with Celty!]
I'm really glad to meet you too! Are you friends with Elfnein-chan too? Or Romeo-kun...?
no subject
[Same world, though that seems like something best said by Elfnein or Chris. It's not dangerous talking about gods and their history, but Ginia still tries to be mindful of what information she shares. Not that she thinks Natsuru (or anyone else) would try to cause harm, it's just a line of caution she can't shake.]
And who can really say no to such an invitation? Romeo's a great kid. What about you?
no subject
[Natsuru is... clearly not as careful about this kind of thing as Ginia is. At least as far as gods are concerned.]
I don't know Romeo-kun as well, but they're both good kids! I never expected them to host a costume party, though...
no subject
I knew Maria briefly, as a god and shinki. She was really nice.
[It's all she can really say.]
It's a nice surprise. Good turn out too. This place could use more parties.
no subject
[Natsuru really misses Maria. Especially as her god, but it was also nice getting to see her again as a shinki. She doesn't want to go on about it, but there's a fondness and wistfulness in her eyes as she agrees.]
Anyway, yeah! Having a nice party every once in a while is great. I know we all can go to training and stuff too, but that's not really the same.
[As she's talking, she's finishing carefully spreading gold glitter in the lines of a possibly familiar symbol she'd drawn on her bookmark, with the help of the ruler.]
no subject
[The bookmark is certainly turning out nice. Very crisp lines, it's impressive. Something about the symbol stands out, though Ginia can't place it in the moment.]
Your bookmark looks good. Making it for yourself or someone else?
no subject
[Natsuru blushes, looking a bit awkward all of a sudden. She hadn't expected someone to pick up on that...!]
W-Well, I'm not sure yet! This symbol is on Zelda-sama's temple, and I think I saw it on a dress she wears too...
no subject
Keep it, gift it, either way it looks great.
[Ginia looks at the symbol again, face crinkling into an amused smile.]
That's a much easier sigil than what my gods have.
no subject
[No way she could draw that! But something else about what Ginia just said (texted? dictated? whatever) catches her attention.]
How... many gods do you have?
[She asks in the cautiously interested way of someone who has definitely considered becoming a nora before.]
no subject
Only two right now. Chris and Ebisu.
[There's a standing offer open, but time will tell whether it's collected on. Ginia taps the name - 発 - on the back of her left hand and smiles before she types again.]
This one is Chris's.
