LANCE: the nya-fe

[ Shiro hasn't forgotten that they'd talked about the cat cafe before, and he plans on taking Lance there. If Lance wants to go. Honestly, it's still so strange to know that Lance doesn't know him. He feels like he almost has to watch his step--but experience with Keith, who had a distinct lack of Shiro-centric memories until fairly recently has taught him well enough.

It still really sucks, though.

But Shiro's just fine. Anyway, they can make new memories. There's nothing wrong with that, and Lance is still... well, Lance.

Anyway. They're here at the cat cafe, and Shiro opens the door for him. ]

After you.

[When Lance gets the invite to go to the cat cafe, he doesn't think anything about it. Two people seem to think it's a nice place, so it must be.

And, yeah, maybe Shiro hadn't exactly been forthcoming about his name, but things are weird here and he seems alright enough. He didn't get annoyed at Lance, and that seems...important.

So, he accepts the invite, and Shiro is being awful gentlemanly by opening the door for him.]

Thanks. [He was raised with MANNERS, dammit! Or...he assumes he was? Not being able to remember his family kind of means he has no idea how he was raised.] So this is the place, huh?

No problem.

[ He offers a smile and, once Lance is inside, follows. ]

Yeah, this is the place. Pretty neat, huh?

[ There are plenty of places to sit... and for cats to play and lounge around. There's also a second floor, so it's a pretty big place. ]

Let's find a place to sit, then look over the menu. It's mostly drinks, but they're good.

[It's a pretty nice place, Lance has to admit. There's a lot of cats, and he can't hide his smile at seeing how cute everything is.]

Alright. You lead the way, man.

[Shiro's the one in charge.

Sure, it's just a visit to a cafe, but. Still. The way Shiro holds himself makes Lance want to defer to him.]

[ Somehow he isn't surprised, but he tilts his head slightly in Lance's direction. ]

Window seat, or no?

[ There's a fluffy girl lounging on one of the couches by a window... how tempting. ]

[You know him too well.]

A window seat sounds great.

[He is going to make his way over to the kitty and reach out for pets...Will he be allowed...]

I thought you might say that, [ he says as he makes his way over to take a seat, and the kitty....

She lets out a chirp and nudges her head against his hand. Success! ]

[He has been blessed...

He takes a break from pets to slide into the seat, before going right back to petting the good good kitty.]

What, you expect me to say no to a face like this?

Not at all. Only someone completely heartless would do that.

[ The goodest kitty climbs right into Lance's lap, and she's purring up a dang storm. Shiro smiles. How cute..... ]

Looks like you found a friend.

[Oh noooo, he can't handle this. Lance grins down at the good girl, scritching behind her ears.]

Do these cats have names...?

They usually have them on their collars.

[Just gonna check that real quick and make you decide on a name, nbd.]

So did you keep Yukina's name or change it? You said you adopted her, right?

[ The tiny blue flowers are nice to see. He's pretty fond of spring, honestly; warmer times, more color. It makes everything seem a little more alive, so of course he finds himself wandering among the flowers. Except... he seems kind of.

Lost. In thought, at least.

If someone approaches and tries to get his attention, eventually, he looks over with an apologetic smile. ]

Sorry. I guess I got caught up in thinking.

[ hifumi's also a huge fan of the flowers. she sees a beautiful garden of them next to him and approaches carefully, clearing her throat to make her presence known so as not to startle him. ]

Hello, Shiro-san. Forgive me for the intrusion.

Ah, Hifumi.

[ He shakes his head and gives her a smile. ]

Don't worry, it's not an intrusion at all. [ He looks back toward the flowers. ] They're beautiful, aren't they?

Yes... They certainly are.

[ very beautiful, actually. she walks over to a bunch next to shiro and squats down to look closer. ]

Strangely, I feel calmer when I look at them.

[galrarm]

So do I.

[ He crouches down, too. ]

I wonder if that's not a coincidence.

[shogis]

[ she tilts her head curiously. ]

Why do you say that?

[galrarm]

It feels less... natural.

[ He gives her a little smile. ]

And I don't usually get so lost in thought outside of the temple.

Now that you mention it...

[ she opens her mouth as if she's about to say something, and then she...quite literally stops and smells the flowers, and gazes into them, deep in thought. ]

[galrarm]

[ Shiro's about to ask her about it, but... yeah, the flowers are vastly more interesting. He crouches down, gently brushing his fingers against their petals. They're beautiful... and Shiro can't really think about anything except for the flowers. ]

Wonder if I could grow these at the temple...

[shogis]

[ you know... normally, she'd follow up with a response. but hifumi is dead silent. she's hardly even blinking.

yep. something is definitely wrong here. ]

[galrarm]

[ If they're not careful... they'll be here forever.

A moment of clarity-- ]

Hifumi... We should go.

[Nagi had actually gotten to the point of waving his hand in front of the man's face to try and get his attention. So when he finally has it, Nagi gasps and claps his hands to his cheeks.]

OH! You startled me! I thought maybe you were somewhere else while your body was here! An out of body experience!!

[galrarm]

[ Oh. Shiro blinks and gives him a sheepish laugh. ]

Sorry. [ He focuses on not thinking about his very extensive out of body experience. ] It's too easy to get caught up in your head here.
