The Nyaramachi Neko Art Festival
Who: Everyone!
When: The entire month of June
Where: Naramachi
What: Because there's interest in the Nyaramachi Neko Art Festival, here's a log to use for some festival fun. Because this festival runs all through June, people coming in on the training log can absolutely jump in too.
The month-long festival is a must see for fans of cats or anyone looking for some unique fun and a chance to get out and relax. With more than forty establishments participating, there's food, entertainment, shopping, cat cafes, and more. Try your hand at making pottery, or get a makeover in the style of CATS! Adoption events and efforts to catch strays for medical checkups and spaying/neutering are also in full force. Maybe you'll find your own furry friend here, or a gift for the cat lovers in your life, or enjoy some needed R&R.
Picture Purrfect
Local animal adoption groups are working hard all month to find homes for the numerous stray, newborn, and surrendered cats in the area. A few groups are looking for help photographing the cats so adoption websites and flyers can get updated with all the new listings. Perhaps you're an aspiring photographer looking for a chance to show your world your craft. Maybe you're looking for an excuse to take hundreds of cat photos to show your friends. Raise those phones, focus those lenses, because it's time to populate the internet with what they love the most.
Mission Impawsible
Escape and challenge rooms are growing in popularity and an enterprising group is using the festival to launch their newest challenge room! Situated in a small warehouse, groups of up to four people are tasked with putting their stealth, agility, and cunning to the test as they're tasked with "stealing" a rare jade cat statue from a vault. Avoid laser traps, patrolling guards, solve cunning puzzles, and grab the loot and get out in thirty minutes! There's no reward, but the fastest times are listed on the record board.
Pair up with others from the Far Shore and go in as a group! Or join a group of humans and help them through the puzzle. The organization wouldn't turn down volunteers helping out as guards inside the attraction either. Just make sure you don't actually hurt anyone; this is all pretend and for fun.
Fancy Feast
The food scene is booming at the festival as celebrity chefs and guests come to show off their newest food creations for human and cats alike. Rising chefs are battling across the duration of the festival to create gourmet food for cats, restaurants are trying to draw in customers with cat-themed food, and even a famous internet cook and his cats are making an appearance and doing cooking demonstrations. Grab a bite to eat! Join a workshop and learn some new recipes! Try your hand at the many cooking contests going on! Don't forget to buy some food to take home!
Purrloined Possessions
During the festivities, vendors begin grumbling about small items disappearing from their shelves and stands. They're always small, cat-themed items, never anything of high financial value, but the thefts are an annoyance and adding up fast! Is this the work of a pickpocket? Ayakashi latching on to people and encouraging the behavior? A sneaky stray snatching trinkets? Get to the bottom of things!
Buried Treasure
A giant claw machine game shaped like a giant litter box is drawing a lot of attention this year. Pay a small fee, navigate the giant scoop and and see what you pull up! Best thing is you can keep playing until you win a prize! All the prizes are cat-themed in some way; cat plushies, cat toys, cat-themed accessories, the choice is yours. Try your hand and see what wonders you can uncover.
Two for Me, Nyan for You
A mochi stand is running a buy-two-get-one-free special on cat-shaped mochi in a variety of flavors and designs. The problem is with how popular the promotion is, the sweets are going fast! Almost too fast in fact! If you want to buy some, you better get in line fast and hope they don't sell out completely! Or perhaps put your mochi pounding skills to the test and help keep production going!

A pottery studio and art school are teaming up to offer visitors a chance to make and decorate cat-themed accessories or ceramic figures. Care to paint a statue in honor of your beloved furry friend? Or perhaps a new water dish? Or maybe you want to try something more hands on learn how to make a bowl from scratch. Whatever you wish to do, there are plenty of teachers and volunteers on site ready to assist in your perfect creation.

Da Qing did a quick headcount, it's going to be task to get them all to the heavens, he needed to find someone with a shrine in this city. Or find Shen Wei and get him to teleport the cats...
He probably needed to get some food too, these cats were bound to be hungry.
"Wait here. Safe here. I'm going to get some food for you. Stay hidden."
It was safest for him, he was unnoticeable for the most part and even if he was spotted he could easily transform into human form to evade capture.

Oh well. That’s no concern of hers. She begins grooming herself, but that only somehow makes her of interest to the kittens, who begin getting up in her space....tentatively at first, and then with renewed curiosity. Hello....? Hello....?
Rosalie has never been around younger cats before. What....should she do.....

Da Qing meanwhile has used both his ability to shift forms and the fact Shen Wei had given him some money for the festival to gather food. There were plenty of places claiming to have the best cat food in Naramachi but none of them knew cats. Da Qing went straight to the fresh fish and soon he was back at the hiding place. He transformed back and nudged the fish through with his nose.
"Here, food!"

Only for the one on her back to start mewling pathetically. Rosalie stops, torn between being a Celebrity and the presence of starving kittens.
So she meows at Da Qing, as if unsatisfied. Why is there only—
WAIT, WHEN HAD ALL THE KITTENS ENDED UP ATOP THE FISH?!

He nudges some of the kittens out of the way and kicks some of the fish over. "Eat quick, these kittens are hungry."
So hungry that Da Qing is even not eating himself, to allow them more. That is how much these kittens break his heart.

The kittens are also thrilled, squirming around the fish without a care in the world (for now). This is, quite possibly, the best thing they have ever tasted. They will follow Da Qing anywhere.
And may be unwilling to stop doing so.

The kittens seem to trust him a lot more now, so perhaps it is just a matter of getting them to Shen Wei, he will know what to do.
"You all need to follow me. There will be more fish when we get there. Promise."

Maybe if she brings up the rear, there will be more....The kittens are perturbing, as well. Irritants, but that just means they need to be taught their place! Rosalie has already tamed her food dispenser. These kittens should prove no challenge.

When he hears Da Qing's voice, he looks up, already closing his book and a pleasant smile on his face that changes slightly as he saw the rest of the crowd. That was a lot of cats.

They would be safe up in the temple, Da Qing was sure of it. The only danger there came from snakes and turtles and they knew who was the king.
