[ Well, it's time for Naminé to do some exploring, so she's traveling around to different shrines. She doesn't really enter unless she has explicit permission; instead, Naminé has a sketchbook and pencil in hand. She's... drawing what she sees? It's mostly for practice, and Naminé doesn't think she's that great, but that's what practice is for!

She's pretty into it, but she'll talk to anyone who approaches her. ]

[ B: April 12, guest starring Add ]

[ Her good day couldn't last very long, could it? Definitely not. She's absolutely just minding her business, and her attention's a little off right now, since she's reading a book... but she does look up just several moments before she bumps right into--

This can only go well. ]

O-oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-- are you okay?

[ C: Last half of April ]

[ April hasn't been a terrible month! Naminé has decided to go out and explore the different businesses--specifically, an ice cream shop, a book store, an art store--she's just browsing, mostly, except in the ice cream shop. Maybe someone sees a book in her hand that they recognize; maybe they're curious about the way she's scrutinizing the art supplies; or maybe they find her looking at the different ice cream flavors and deciding what to get....

Or maybe she's somewhere else? There are a lot of places here, after all! ]

[ She's definitely surprised, again, but she nods and finishes up what she's sketching before approaching him. ]

Of course. Would you like to see the gardens in the back?

[They got along well before, so Forrest sees no reason not to be welcoming and neighborly.]

[ Gardens... She nods. ]

Yes, please. I'd love to see them.

All right. Just follow me.

[The garden is accessed through the temple proper, which is just as colorful and impressive on the inside. Forrest walks through the main hall and toward the rear entrance, opening the door to reveal a lush garden full of exotic flowers surrounding several bathing pools. The water is crystal clear and there are lotus flowers floating on the surface.]

Well, here we are! What do you think?

[ What does she think? Naminé's absolutely breathless by the sheer beauty of it. She'd thought her temple had been something, but the gardens... They put it to shame.

She's quiet for a while, just taking in everything, before she realizes she should probably answer him. ]

It's... Oh, it's gorgeous!

Thank you! Lakshmi is a goddess of beauty and wealth, so it makes sense that her temple would look like this.

[Forrest smiles, walking around and leading Naminé through the area.]

If you'd like, you can stay here a while and draw whatever you want.

It's amazing... It makes mine look so plain.

[ She doesn't say it like it bothers her, though. ]

Are you sure? Oh, I'll be sure to give it to you, once I'm finished.

Of course. We're neighbors, after all.

[Forrest laughs a little as he smiles back at her.]

I can't wait to see it!

[ Naminé's practically beaming. ]

I'll work very hard on it.

[Forrest gestures with his hand at the garden in general.]

Sit wherever you like. The pools are clean and refreshing if you'd like to dip your feet in and relax while you draw. Let me know if you need anything.

[He really just likes having company.]

[ He's being so generous...! ]

I'm nbot sure I could possibly-- you've been so hospitable, already...

Of course. I'll be just inside.

[And he heads inside to take care of the temple's upkeep, coming back out a little while later.]

[ Well, Naminé's taken her shoes off, and she's sitting at the edge of one of the pools. She's made some good headway on the drawing when--

... That is definitely her stomach growling. ]

[Forrest can't help but smile when he sees that Naminé is making herself at home after all. And once he hears her stomach, that smile breaks into light laughter.]

You've certainly been busy, haven't you? Would you like to take a break?

[ She jumps a little, and at least she doesn't drop her sketchbook into the water! She turns to him with a sheepish smile. ]

I think that would be a good idea.

[That would have been a tragedy indeed. Forrest knows what it's like to lose hours of hard work to a slip like that. As it is, he crouches down next to her, hands on his knees, to look at what she's been drawing.]

It's coming along very nicely! I can't wait to see the finished product.

[He glances to her sandals shortly thereafter, and then back at her face.]

I'm glad to see you were able to relax a little too. I find I produce my best work in peaceful surroundings.

[ She's still pretty self-conscious about it, but she's happy to show him. ]

Thank you. It shouldn't be much longer...

[ She nods. ]

It's easy to relax here... it's so beautiful. And peaceful, like you said.

It really is. It's a good place to come to clear your mind.

[Forrest smiles, holding his hand out for her.]

Come on, I'll prepare some snacks.

[ She takes his hand after closing the sketchbook. ]

What kind of snacks?

[ They'll probably be delicious regardless. ]

Hmmm... well, what are you in the mood for? Something sweet or something savory?

[He has a few recipes in mind.]

Maybe... something sweet would be good.

If you can wait a little while, I can make a berry tart with fresh fruit.

[ She's never had a berry tart but that sounds delicious? My goodness. ]

I don't mind waiting at all. Especially if it's not too much trouble.
