What: Spring cleaning

Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Mine's a strength augmentation qui- superpower! I get stronger, faster and more agile, which is really useful in a fight!

That sounds really... uh, really good though if you can get all of that at once. Do you fight a lot of bad guys?

Oh well, uh... More than normal, I think. I'm training to become one, I haven't gotten my licence yet.

Hero in training. And you have licenses? I mean, that makes sense if you can throw a bus, but it's not like the comics at all.

It's not, but when people can do stuff like secrete acid and create explosions from their sweat, it's better to have some regulations, right? It would get really dangerous if people just used their quirks without any restraint.

Those are some crazy cool powers though.

[ Although acidic secretions sounds... unfun on a day to day basis. ]

Quirks - that's what they call them there?

I have a friend that can create and manipulate ice and fire. Ice on his right side, and fire on his left, if you're talking about flashy powers, that one definitely high up there.

[Acidic secretion isn't too bad when you can control it, at least.]

Quirks are what we call superpowers. Cause they're like... a part of you.

He's a pretty good guy once you get to know him. Ah, he's not here though.

[He watches the fire for a moment and sighs. Isn't it technically better that his friends aren't here with him? At least they're not dead.

About eighty percent of the world's population has some kinda quirk these days.

That's a lot of powers. I can hardly imagine how different life would be like that.

[Poor Fuu, having to deal with somebody she knew dying. He's not sure he could go through that again.]

Mm, most people don't use theirs though, since that stuff needs licensing. But it can definitely be hard for little kids first getting their quirks, it usually shows up around age 4. So it can be rough, but quirks are usually passed down from parents to their kids, so at least somebody knows how to deal with it.

[ It has Umi worried if her being around is more painful for Fuu than if she found some way to just... go away. ]

Oh, right, yeah, that'd make sense, otherwise people would cause all kinds of trouble.

[ Age four. So Umi's not some kind of superpower vanguard, probably, in her owrld. ]

Still, that's pretty cool just having it there - although a four year old that can set stuff on fire is a recipe for disaster huh?

I mean, there still are people who cause trouble, but they're villains...

[Like that weird hand guy that can disintegrate stuff by touching it.]

Usually, yeah. But I'm not sure about Todoroki, he seems pretty in control of himself. And I didn't meet him until high school.

Well yeah, but little kids like that are handfuls. I don't wanna have to raise a kid who can blow things up when they throw a tantrum.

[ Although society seems to be working out? ]

So do you get a lot of villains?

[Ah... He takes a moment to consider Kacchan in his childhood. Man... He's kind of glad he isn't Bakugou's parent. There's a guy who creates explosions.]

It's not that strong when they're young, at least?

[He nods.]

There's apparently a league of them now, and they swarmed my class when were we supposed to do rescue training. My school's actually really secure, the only way they got in was somebody with a teleportation quirk.

[ This Bakugou sure sounds like a fun guy. ]

Oh, hey, that'd make sense too!

[ A league of villains really DOES sound comic booky though. ]

Huh. That, though, that doesn't sound very... safe. At all. Did you all get out okay?

[He's... definitely cool in his own, kind of dickish, way.]

Well... Thirteen and Aizawa-sensei managed to hold off the worst of it until back up arrived. None of the students were seriously injured [except for him.], but Aizawa-sensei and Thirteen were hospitalized.

Superhero teachers must be extra amazing if they could protect all of you like that.

They are. They're definitely amazing and it's so cool to watch them work- even if I'm sure we'd all prefer it was a little more standard.

Uh, don't worry though, they're fine.

Standard, and without them getting hurt. I guess that's part of the hero life, though, isn't it?

[ Umi's aware of powers of her own - and that she might be in danger fairly soon as well. ]

Yeah. At least Recovery Girl can help them heal up fast.

I don't know if anybody has a power like that here. So it's a good idea not to be too reckless.

Recovery girl? Shoot, that sounds amazing. It'd be worth asking around to see if we can get away with being reckless idiots though eh?

That's a good idea. You never know what might happen.

Um... I don't actually know. I don't think I've met anybody who's gone through that.
