Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[That reaction actually brings a small, proud smile to Souma's face. He chuckles.]

Is that surprising? As a warrior, I must train my body in every way that I possibly can. Naturally, wielding the mop as I do is no different. Would you like to try, Naruto?

[He offers him the handle of the mop with a smile.]

[ He takes the mop. He's not awkward with it-- even though he looks and acts like this, he's held a mop before! And used it for cleaning and everything! He doesn't remember this though. ]

Yeah!! But I've no idea how to do the cool stuff you were doing, you know? All that-- [ This is a very bad impression of waving a sword around. But it's very enthusiastic and heartfelt! ] --thing!

If Naruto is interested in something like this, I would gladly teach him the way of the warrior.

[In example, he moves his right foot forward and pretends to be holding a mop, swinging his hands out in a strike.]

Hyah! Like that, you see? With practice, you can become a master.

What's the way of the warrior?

[ He tries that move himself, moving his left foot forward and-- wham! He was a little too enthusiastic and the mop hit the floor. ]

Ouch... With less force, right?

Rather than focusing on the amount of force, focus on the direction of it. If you center it through the mop, you can create a balance to guide it forward properly!

[He shows Naruto the move once more. Intense mop training!]

As for the way of the warrior, it is something I feel in my heart. A list of guidelines that I hold myself to... What seems appropriate for a man who calls himself a "warrior." I do not remember much more than what I feel.

[ He's going to try that move several times, mop training is serious business. ]

Ohhhh, I think I know what you mean! Like being determined, and believing in yourself!

[ He's starting to get the hang of it! His balance is a bit off, but hey, it could be a lot worse... At least he hasn't broken anything! ]

Yes, something like that! Naruto's form is improving greatly!

[Good thing no one is walking through here or they'd be knocking them out, probably. He tries to show him another move. More of a sliding across the floor for actual cleaning!]

[ Let's do this, practicing and waving stuff around! Hopefully there's a broom in this room too, that way they can sweep and mop in style! ]

Heh, thanks! I'll teach you some stuff later in return! Training while cleaning's a great idea, you know?

I think so as well! It's a great way to pass the time and better yourself. It may not seem like much, but it is truly a chance to challenge yourself!

[There has to be a broom around here somewhere! Souma will step away from Naruto just so he can search for one.] I would be eager to learn anything Naruto can offer to teach me.

[ Go on, he'll just stay here practicing to get it right! ]

Alright! I'm not sure I know how to teach anything, but I can show you and tell you what I do! If you copy it like I'm doing now, it's gotta work... But with the kinda stuff I can do, it's better to practice outdoors, you know? I don't wanna break stuff if we're supposed to be cleaning it!

[ Because, yes, he's definitely challenging himself with this mop... but he's not cleaning absolutely anything. Training for cleaning is serious business, okay? ]

That is a very good point, Naruto, but I wonder if it may be too late to train. Will we not hold others back as we attempt to catch up? While I do not wish to break anything, I wonder if there is a way to accelerate our training...

[He finds a broom, at least! Here in the closet. He digs it out, half stumbling back out of the closet before shutting it.]
