Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

And we can't teleport there, huh? Guess we'll walk till we find a bus stop or reach it.

[He doesn't mind walking, it's his primary mode of getting around his city back home. He's walked further for a special event at a game store, so he's not too put off.

As he goes, he pulls up the hood on his jacket and shoves his hands in the pockets, trying to look both secretive and thuggish. He has no reason to in this world, but it's habit.]

I think you'll be able to teleport there once you know the area? [ He's not sure how it works, but that's what he observed. Any place god was in could be accessed later quickly ] Possibly once you become more experienced with that means of travel, you will be able to appear whenever you want.

[ They don't need to take overly long walk, until they reach the sunshine city building and its huge shopping mall ]

Yeah? That'll be nice. I hate taking buses and trains. Too many people.

[It was both an anxiety thing of being surrounded by way too many strangers, but also leftover disdain for it from back home, when someone got a good look under his hood and starts shouting how it's King, the strongest man in the world riding the same train we are! and the already crammed, stifling car getting moreso as people swarmed around him.

Might not be a problem here, but that disdain is still great. Besides, who wants to take a sweaty train when you can teleport?

As they reach shops that catered a little more to his interests, he starts looking around with some excitement inside. He hopes it looks like a man just trying to remember landmarks on the outside, but he's probably looking a little too long at windows full of otaku type of stuff with curiosity to fool someone like Demon Cyborg.]

[ Genos doesn't notice that at first, but... there's a lot of shops with such theme here. Cosplay, sports anime only, doujins, heck, even vending machines have themed drinks. And most of the bottles are sold out anyway. But eventually the interest of his god becomes apparent ]

Those are comics and hobby shops. [ He explains helpfully. ] Looks like this street is full of them.

Oh, trust me, I know what sort of stores these are.

[Said with the know-it-all tone of a nerd. He even glances at Genos with the same sort of smug look.]

Most of these look like they're for girls, though. Or certain kinds of guys.

[They were passing by a lot of shops with posters and cutouts of cute boys, the other side of the coin to the stores he sometimes went to with posters and cutouts of cute girls. He feels pretty pleased since the first time he's got here. If stores like this exist, his side of nerdom must exist as well. And he's not even thinking about the moe girl stuff, his mind is focused on video games. Thank, God. Or gods.]

[ Genos is not impressed, but he's not saying anything either. Saitama read comics too, so no surprise someone familiar with him shares the interest. Shame they didn't had a chance to meet, but maybe at least Saitama is back where he wanted to be.

Which isn't really what he should be wallowing on right now, he has new god to introduce to this job after all.

And, right, they're starting it by getting a cake. He checks the phone and points right. ] Looks like like 20 meters down that street is a cake cafe.

Great.

[They fall back into a silence. He feels like he should talk a little more to him, if he's going to be his "weapon" and all, but it's still a little tense. And weird. Maybe he'll wake up and this was all a dream and he'll be a little awkward around the real Genos for a day then everything would be cool.

They find the cafe easy enough, it had pictures of cakes and parfaits and all that sort of stuff in the windows. He's so engrossed in thoughts of the past day that he doesn't notice anything else about the building...and even when they were inside, he doesn't pay attention to who greets and seats them...]

[ Genos does and is a bit... startled at all the butlers. He's even more surprised they get noticed at all, means these people are really dedicated to their work. They are handed a menu by a girl crossdressing as a very handsome butler - there seems to be solid 50% divide. Butlers for everyone ]

I haven't seen a cafe like this. [ But when he looks at the menu they have a really nice selections of coffees, parfaits and cakes. There's even a price list for items that allow making photos with the staff. ]

[When he's handed the menu is when King finally clues in on where he is. His expression mostly stays the same, but eyes widen, and he turns to look around. They were the only men in the cafe. Lots of high school girls and women tourists it looked like.

He turns back to Genos, and says lowly while holding the menu up to hide his mouth.]

You didn't say this was going to be a butler café, Genos.

[ Genos is looking at his phone again, to check if he made a mistake but- ]

I couldn't know. It's only written "Victorian Café" on the map. [ Exactly, how could he know it will be a butler café. And, besides who cares. ]

A cake is a cake, no?
