007 | Clean Up Your Act

Who: Everyone!
What: Spring cleaning
When: All day April 15
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.

Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

In Summary:
  • Clean up your home
  • Help clean others' homes
  • Get the main hall clean too!
  • Hope no hidden magic jumps out
  • Seek counselling if you need it
  • Enjoy your complimentary dinner
  • Have fun~

[His only answer to that is a half-hearted scoff, rubbing above his sore eye. Some facts don't change. It didn't take long for Add to re-learn that arguing with Roxas about himself is pointless, so he's not going to bother.

The second question gets a more baffled response, though. Add frowns and raises an eyebrow.]
What name?

[Poor Apocalypse has been doing such a good job of being a cup holder, and Add has already forgotten it's there. Such a thankless job...]

[Roxas turns his gloved hand to point at the cat-cube hovering near them, supposing the indication is necessary, since Add asked]

Your friend.

[Because obviously, the cat-cube is a friend. And thus all of Add's little gadgets would fall under this category too. Maybe he thinks this way because he was just data himself...

Or maybe it was meeting a fabulous robot back in Monad]

[He follows Roxas' gesture to the floating cube.] Ah, right. I suppose you haven't really met... [Since Add was so busy hiding from Roxas.

He pats a hand on the cube, happy to move on to a different, less uncomfortable topic.]

Apocalypse. It appeared in my room two days ago, but it seems to be something I owned in my previous life. A holographic AI assistant of sorts.

[That it simply appeared is something Roxas might question, is this world weren't so bizarre to begin with. He's silent a while longer than he means to be, longer than his usual awkward lulls in conversation, simply because Add had called him an AI and his assistant once. A title he at once misses and holds to, while knowing he's the only one who remembers he ever had it at all.

Apocalypse must have had it first, but he has to wonder...]

You're saying it's a hologram?

[He asks, nearly a full minute after Add stopped talking]

[... Roxas goes oddly silent, so Add can only assume they're done talking. Awkward.

He clears his throat, giving Apocalypse another pat on the head before straightening his half-empty glass balanced ontop of it. Might as well take care of that now.]
Apocalypse, refill my drink.

[It shimmers cheerfully and zips off towards the drink table...

Shortly followed by Roxas' next question. Ah. Well, okay, fine, we're still going after all.]

Mm, there's a physical core at the centre that appears to generate the surrounding body. The energy it produces is very dense on the outside, so it feels solid, but it's still only a projection.

It's quite fascinating, actually. The core must be very advanced if it can produce and manipulate such a large amount of energy as well as store all the necessary data for a complex AI, all while remaining small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

So he's really that small?

[Being a made thing, he just assumes another made thing capable of thought on some level is more than a simple 'it'... Though his choice to call Apocalypse a 'he' is entirely arbitrary by nature. It could be that given another moment or two he'd have done otherwise, as RNG is wont to cause.

...He's a game-boy, after all]

Must've been a feat, making something like that.

[Not that he expects Add would be able to respond to that, and so he moves right along]

Seems pretty helpful.

[He nods, watching his cube get to work from a distance. It's also kind of impressive how it figured out how to pour drinks using its limited ability to move objects, but maybe he taught it that intentionally in the past...]

It is. I didn't realize how much I needed an assistant, but it's much easier to get things done with someone else in the room to fetch things for me and keep everything organized.

[Trying to do work by himself up until now has been so annoying. He'd always be walking back and forth across the room for things, struggling to hold things together by himself, going in and out of the temple for things he forgot to bring... If he was used to working with an assistant before, though, it makes sense that his productivity would suffer without one.]

... Hmm, I wonder if I could teach it how to cook... [If only he had someone to bring him food while he's working!]
