Susano'o Trashes Heaven

Who: Sho Minamimoto vs. Everyone!
What: Susano'o decides to take on Heaven. Chaos results.

Summary: In a bid to take over Heaven, Sho has unleashed an apocalyptic number of taboo ayakashi the biggest Heaven-wrecking godmode weapon this side of the Far Shore. It doesn't end well. Get ready for spring cleaning 2.0.
Warnings: Math, strong language, casual disembowelment and other violence, NPC death, potential for character death.

Susano'o, Selfies, and the Subjugation of Heaven

As he'd revealed in his 3 AM BBS post, Sho has a variety of fascinating ayakashi that he wants to share with the world. By noon, several large heaps located in various parts of Heaven have caught on fire and there is a massive outpouring of taboo ayakashi.

Concentrated primarily near the Meeting Hall and Susano'o's junk heap of a temple, these ayakashi attack shinki and gods on sight. They're vicious, powerful, and the only way to defeat them is the power of teamwork.

At 2 PM, Joshua will be providing some helpful tips. Meanwhile, Sho will be teleport-spamming throughout Heaven. Feel free to text him, but he'll stop answering right around the time Bishamon and Hajime start to catch up to him. (Picowatt will be helping out from there on!)

Boss Fight: Seiten Taisei and the Neoclassical Drakes

It's the zero hour, exactly 43,200 seconds since he posted his warning to the BBS when Sho decides to change the game. Heaven has rallied against him, gods and shinki alike, and it's time to pull out the big guns.

In the air above the Meeting Hall, he unleashes thirteen Neoclassical Drakes before releasing Seiten Taisei.

And, suddenly, it's entrails everywhere.

Post-Battle Spring Cleaning

Well, the day is saved, but there's a metric ton left to do. The mass slaughter left a bit of a bloody mess, and Susano'o has shrines on the Near Shore covered in graffiti that can turn any stray ayakashi into the taboo sort. Weird and corrupt magics all over the place, some of which are on fire. His junkyard temple is burning merrily, and there are still some stray taboo ayakashi to put down.

Anyone ready for Spring Cleaning 2.0? Grab a mop.

[ While teleporting around Heaven during the first phase of his scheme, Sho's more than happy to text like a fiend.

Sometime after 3 PM, Picowatt takes over phone duties. ]

[ Frazzled and surprisingly staticy, Sho appears above the Meeting Hall. So maybe the algorithm had a few bugs to work out. And maybe he should have made this a proper surprise attack. There's no time to worry about that now. Not when he's pulling out the big guns.

And a megaphone. ]

Time to die, you sons of insignificant digits! [ Thirteen Neoclassical Drakes warp into existence. ] It's a two for one! Revenge and subjugation, and it starts now!

't' equals ZERO! Kyouki! Goku. [ One minute he's got a staff in hand, the next it's Goku held by his collar. ] Kyouki, I release you. You're too zetta lame.

[ Not allowing for protest, Sho grabs his diadem and shatters it into fragments. ]

[One second, Goku had been at Elsa's, preparing to head out and stop these things. He'd seen Sho's post on the network, but he hadn't replied because it had just been too confusing.

But the next second, he can feel himself being drawn somewhere else, into the staff form he hasn't taken in weeks. And a second after that, he's back to himself again, disoriented and confused and standing on his toes in front of Sho while the back of his shirt collar digs into his skin. He can't even quite parse what the god is saying. All he knows is that he can suddenly feel that name tearing from where it's tattooed on his stomach.

Then, there's a hand going for his head, and a shattering sound, and everything goes black.

When he opens his eyes again, it's different. There's no panic or disorientation, only mild confusion, and-- someone in front of him. Someone with their hand balled into his collar, someone that has a conveniently exposed midsection. Someone that is touching him.

In the mind of Seiten Taisei, there's only one way this can go, and he expresses this with a wide, fanged grin.

And a nice, firm application of claws to a soft, unguarded belly.]

[With Sho laying disemboweled and... well, dead, Seiten Taisei is on the lookout for other sources of entertainment. He isn't exactly subtle about his approach, either. God and shinki alike, if it moves, he leaps after it with the intent to maim and hurt and kill.

He moves through the meeting hall, leaving blood and bodies in his wake. Gods quick enough on the draw to summon their weapons are spared a bit more time than those that succumb to the panic, but all still meet a similar fate. If they aren't already dead, they're well on their way, and Seiten Taisei doesn't find them very amusing anymore. There is still much more interesting prey to be had, and it is still running.]

[ Neoclassical Drakes might be zetta hard to beat, but it's better than fighting Seiten Taisei.

[Heaven's in chaos, the ayakashi fusions don't seem to recognize what or who they should be attacking, bearing their claws and fangs at anybody who dared approach.

He's been out and busy, trying to deal with them bit by bit, but it's a little after three when he sees Minamimoto above the meeting hall, and then he's dead, claws right through his gut.

Izuku doesn't know Seiten Taisei, doesn't know Goku at all. Minamimoto didn't leave a good impression either, but that's no reason to be killed.

He grits his teeth. He's been in situations like this before- something unplanned, something dangerous and killer, panic doesn't seize him up. He calls out for his shinki and starts running towards the danger. Maybe, just maybe he and Kido can help.

He has to, at the very least, attempt to contain the danger. Distract him, maybe? If he's caught up dealing with him, then the damage he can deal to others is minimal, right?]

Useruki!

[ Sanae may be new, she may not know what kind of person is behind this onslaught of heaven, or even what their reasons are, but she knows that setting monsters to attack anyone and everyone is just wrong. Because of this, she feels she doesn't need to know anything more other than to protect and to help. ] Hijikata-san! Over there--!

[ She waves over at them, and then indicates that, hey, there is a giant dragon heading their way. Before it can move any further, Sanae issues a burst of pure white energy in its path. A bright light erupts from her swipe at the air, holy magic shimmering and impeding its path. The ground is singed from the purification, and the beast roars as it recoils away from it. ] These things are everywhere!

[ Sanae takes to the air, pocketing Lu Meng in his mobile phone form, and instead reaches takes out her gohei. Not that she needs it to use attacks, but it simply feels right to wield it. ] You who would desecrate this holy space--

I will not let you hurt my friends...!

[ Amidst the chaos, who does Sanae encounter but one cynical southen priest.

Sanae puts on her lecture tone for Hazel when she first approaches him. And the ending to her latest shoujo we-must-protect-everyone rant, she ends with: ] And so.... we must work in teams!

[ Meanwhile a Neoclassical Drake looms closer. ]

[ She's been fighting with others for a while now, and she's got some of this kind of ~team coordination~ combat down already. This type of ayakashi are difficult, there's no doubt about it but... it does say something that it's made easier when working together with others.

As someone who comes from a world in which she's only worked by herself, that is significant. So perhaps it's come to no one's surprise that she now has a small smile on her face, happy to be working with others, and happy to have this feeling that she's a part of something.

But as one of the Neoclassical Drake/Dragons approaches them, Sanae puts a finger to her mouth. ] ---Wait wait, we should think of a team name, first!

[...welp. Even if he isn't useless, he can't help but feel that way, tucked out of sight and away from the fight. But there's no time to mourn the lack of arms to lift a weapon; already he's channeling his new powers towards Sanae. Courage, he's already known she has in spades. But what might be lacking is a calm mindset to tackle such a chaotic fight, and so although Sanae will still feel the thrill of a battle there's also a steady drumming beat, keeping her from getting over-excited and losing herself in the battle.]

Please be careful, Lady Kochiya. Don't let your emotions get the best of you!

Lady Kochiya, look out!

[And said drake is already opening its maw, jagged teeth seeking to chomp on some squishy gods and shinki!]

My lady, keep things short and simple! The enemy will not wait for you to finish your long-winded spiel about the power of friendship! You could have simply informed him that it takes two coordinated blows to damage the beast!

[...though this is also probably not the best time to be nagging someone either. Sorry Sanae, he's not impressed with your shoujo spiel.]

[Heavens preserve him. He might be lacking a face right now stuck in his vessel form, but if he had one it'd be creased with disapproval.]

Lady Kochiya, focus.

[The initial surge of ayakashi, while intimidating, hardly seemed worthy of the dramatics of Susano'o's post overnight--and where was that big draconic one from the photos? It seemed wiser to Kurama to wait, to let the other gods handle the small fries so he and Mai would be ready to assist against a second wave. She hadn't liked that one bit, of course, even when he'd explained his reasoning in careful detail, but at least she seemed to accept the necessity of it.

And now it turns out he was right. A full dozen of the dragon-shaped ayakashi have appeared out of thin air, which means they're up.]

Come, Byouki.

[He doesn't bother pointing out that he was right when reality's doing such a good job; instead, he adjusts his grip on Mai's apple form and teleports them to one of the ayakashi, just far enough away that they should have a few moments to assess the situation before engaging.]

It looks like I'll have to focus this time, so keep an eye out for any additional trouble, please.

[And finally, for the first time in a proper battle, he draws a rose from his hair.]

[ With him at her side (or in her pocket, as it is), Sanae feels invigorated, but not to the point of recklessness as she may have been before. Her gaze turns towards her new opponent, but her thoughts are simultaneously on her allies as well. Because it is not just each individual's abilities or powers that will give them the strength to defeat a Drake.

It's their teamwork. Lu Meng reminds her of that by simply speaking to her, because normally would be all alone in fighting the latest youkai of the day. ] I'll hold it captive for now!

[ More white beams of light appear upon the field, intersecting like a cage over the Drake and pressing it to the ground. Its great wings beat against its new constraints, but its tail continues to thrash violently as it remains unbound. ]

[ Oh boy. TIME TO DODGE!

And as she out-maneuvers its giant mouth: ] ---Also, it takes too coordinated blows to damage the beast! [ THERE HAPPY, she has now informed Hazel, if he did not know already.

She outstretches her hand to the other priest. ] So. Are you with me?

[The power he has now isn't anything like Sanae's -- it isn't something that he can use directly in a battle like this. (Do the enemies even have wills that he could manipulate? He's unsure, and this doesn't seem like the ideal time to experiment and find out what happens if he tries touching an ayakashi's broken mind.)]

[But that doesn't matter. Hijikata isn't afraid. The truth is, he feels a greater clarity than he's felt in a long, long time.]

[This, after all, is what he does, stripped of the parts that were the most difficult. His opponents aren't human now -- destroying them doesn't carry the heavy weight of taking a human life, a weight that he'd accepted as his burden for so long that being suddenly free of it feels almost dizzying. And his mission is the same as it was all his life:]

[Protect this land, protect its people. Fight, so the innocent won't have to.]

[Though Souji is somehow two different swords in one object, he feels perfectly balanced in his hand. His presence makes this easier, too -- his absence was such an unmistakable void for so long that just having him here, being able to feel him, feels almost tangibly like something has been set right.]

[They were an unstoppable team before. And against the earlier waves of ayakashi, they're exactly that again. This one might be bigger, but he feels confident that it won't be any match for them, either.]

[As Sanae moves to incapacitate the Drake, Hijikata circles around to its other side, so it's in between the two of them.]

Watch the tail!

[If they can both get a good opening to strike at the same time, maybe they can end this quickly...]

Where is Goku? What have you done to him?

[It's not really taking her long to get used to the fact that Deku jumps into things. If it had been up to her, she would've been on the opposite side of the heavens, right now. But Deku's here, so here she is.

He's going to make her brave or make her dead and honestly, she's already the latter so she guesses being brave wouldn't be too bad. So long as Deku gets out of this alive, at least...]

Don't get us killed, Deku.

[Maybe next time there's a disaster clearly coming she should pretend to have a cold.]

[It's exhilarating. Being wielded, perfect aligned with his God's body, an extension of his will into the world around them. He's sure, absolutely certain, that this is what he's meant for. And as he's rent apart the bodies of the ill-made creatures that are their enemies, he's sure that he's managed to help them too, somehow. Surely a blighted life like that must be torture?

He's not sure why, but that thought is soothing somehow, like the cleansing of an old wound. He won't think too deeply about it, but there it is.

Introspection has no place in battle anyway, it gets in the way. As the Drake lowers its head, Souji certainly doesn't question his instinctive response.]

The head. It's doing something. Keep our of range. [Just in time too, as there's a red glow building around its maw.]

[ Sho's busy, but Picowatt has the line. ]

Susano'o-sama has tasks for him. (｡• •｡)

What tasks? What is he doing to him?

[She can't really feel him right now. The place where Goku usually is in her mind is mostly static now, and it's terrifying.]

[ Sunsano'o is up to no good. Konzen had seen his posting on the BBS earlier today. To be honest, he couldn't make too much sense of it, but it certainly left him with a nasty feeling. And knowing him to be Goku's estranged god, it was unsettling to say the least.

He should check in with Goku, but...

Does he really want to poke around in front of Elsa's temple again, hoping to catch a glimpse? Or you know, he could knock on the door like a normal person. After some debate in his head, he decides to just take a walk. Maybe it's just a coincidence that his steps somehow are in the direction of Elsa's place. Also, he's taking Elise and Haru along, just in case. ]

There's a library there, and a school. Maybe both of you should take some cl--

[ Whatever he's about to say is cut off when suddenly a chill runs down his spine. He looks up and sees dark shapes forming shadows in the sky above. ]

What the--?

[ Dust and leaves stir upward in a dirty gust as one of the shadows closes in. It flaps its large disgusting wings, whipping the air as the thing screams. ]

Get behind me, now!

Susano'o-sama is going to protect Heaven. Please remain undamaged. (｡• •｡)

"Protect"? He unleashed dangerous ayakashi in the meeting hall! He took Goku without warning, after weeks off who knows where!

Picowatt, what is Sho up to? Please, it's important. What is he doing with Goku? Has he hurt you at all?
