Susano'o Trashes Heaven

Who: Sho Minamimoto vs. Everyone!
What: Susano'o decides to take on Heaven. Chaos results.

Summary: In a bid to take over Heaven, Sho has unleashed an apocalyptic number of taboo ayakashi the biggest Heaven-wrecking godmode weapon this side of the Far Shore. It doesn't end well. Get ready for spring cleaning 2.0.
Warnings: Math, strong language, casual disembowelment and other violence, NPC death, potential for character death.

Susano'o, Selfies, and the Subjugation of Heaven

As he'd revealed in his 3 AM BBS post, Sho has a variety of fascinating ayakashi that he wants to share with the world. By noon, several large heaps located in various parts of Heaven have caught on fire and there is a massive outpouring of taboo ayakashi.

Concentrated primarily near the Meeting Hall and Susano'o's junk heap of a temple, these ayakashi attack shinki and gods on sight. They're vicious, powerful, and the only way to defeat them is the power of teamwork.

At 2 PM, Joshua will be providing some helpful tips. Meanwhile, Sho will be teleport-spamming throughout Heaven. Feel free to text him, but he'll stop answering right around the time Bishamon and Hajime start to catch up to him. (Picowatt will be helping out from there on!)

Boss Fight: Seiten Taisei and the Neoclassical Drakes

It's the zero hour, exactly 43,200 seconds since he posted his warning to the BBS when Sho decides to change the game. Heaven has rallied against him, gods and shinki alike, and it's time to pull out the big guns.

In the air above the Meeting Hall, he unleashes thirteen Neoclassical Drakes before releasing Seiten Taisei.

And, suddenly, it's entrails everywhere.

Post-Battle Spring Cleaning

Well, the day is saved, but there's a metric ton left to do. The mass slaughter left a bit of a bloody mess, and Susano'o has shrines on the Near Shore covered in graffiti that can turn any stray ayakashi into the taboo sort. Weird and corrupt magics all over the place, some of which are on fire. His junkyard temple is burning merrily, and there are still some stray taboo ayakashi to put down.

Anyone ready for Spring Cleaning 2.0? Grab a mop.

[ While teleporting around Heaven during the first phase of his scheme, Sho's more than happy to text like a fiend.

Sometime after 3 PM, Picowatt takes over phone duties. ]

12:00pm - Do you smell something burning?

[ She knew something was up. Getting texts from Sho at 3 am wasn't exactly anything different and she'd learned to just stick her phone under her pillow and ignore them. But this? This was definitely something that warranted attention. So early on she's out and about astride her lion and wearing a full set of armor. Those taboo ayakashi aren't going down easy and even the smaller ones are giving her trouble. ]

What are these ayakashi?!

[ She's managed to get a pair of them to chase her, leaping off her lion and calling one of her shinki to her hand (the oversized broadsword) Two strikes simulatenously. ]

Now, Kuraha!

[ Two strikes: one from the lion and one from her should be enough. But she's already looking frustrated. It's clear these taboo ayakashi are giving her a bit of trouble. ]

A little past 2:00pm - Lion on Lion Action
Locked to Hajime. Welcome to occasional threadjacking by Sho if you so fancy, Jeepers.

[ She can't let herself be seen as weak. Not now. Especially in these circumstances. So despite her earlier entanglement with the ayakashi, she doesn't look fatigued or hurt at all. Clearly she's just gotten her second wind. But she does land on a nearby rooftop, if only to get away from the chaos and to get a better look at... well.... everything. ]

....he has to be here somewhere.... but where is he?

[ Her hand clenches into a fist, a look of evident irritation on her face. ]

We have to take him down.

[A: "Trust me, I'm a lot tougher than I look."]

[Honestly, this is so familiar to her that it's almost nostalgic. It was like being back on the battlefield at home, and though she ultimately preferred peace and quiet and harmony, it was easy to fall back into old patterns.

She practically dances among the ayakashi, a gleaming gold khakkhara in her hands-- er, sleeves? (Because of course she still had the long watersleeves on, but somehow still seemed capable of holding onto the staff?? Magic, man, don't question it.) She giggles and moved around, bringing her staff down hard on any ayakashi that cross her path, though she mostly pops in out of nowhere to help anyone else who looks like they're struggling, all Big Damn Heroes]

Hey, you alright? Don't give up! We can do it together! [She smiles brightly, all encouragement and cheerful optimism before bashing an ayakashi with a cheery 'woo!' like it's a baseball and she's up to bat.]

[B: "I knew it. I knew you would come to save me."]

[Okay, so Sanzang tries not to take on the ayakashi alone, but when you're spending your time bouncing from team to team just making sure they're alright, sometimes you get cornered.

She's breathing hard, looking a little worse for wear, but she still laughs, voice bright] Wow, this isn't looking good, huh, Kikka? [She grins at her staff and brandishes it again, expression determined despite her little smile. It's almost like she's a little...excited?

Haha, that's probably your imagination though.

Despite her best efforts though, she seems to be getting overwhelmed SOS save our sanzo]

[C: "Come on. We may as well dance - we're here now."]

[As the battle wears on, Sanzang gives up fighting and sets to 100% Support Mode. She runs around the various shinki-god pairs, using both her normal healing and her empathic healing in equal turns where needed. While she might have danced in the beginning, this isn't the time for it and she works quickly.

If she comes across your sorry, injured self, she gives a bright, reassuring smile] Don't worry, I'm here to help! Hold still, okay?

[It barely takes any concentration from her to start the process. Not only will wounds start healing over, but any pain associated with the wound will disappear too. Huh. Neat. Nevermind that afterwards Sanzang's smile becomes pained and strained, her breathing a little harsher]

Better? Try not to overwork yourself, okay? Anything else I can do?

[Yeah take a fucking nap, Sanzang.]

[He's absorbed enough in getting back to his research that Add completely misses Sho's network post. What's a little harder to miss is the sound of something thrashing around the temple grounds. It's just loud enough to be distracting, and after a few minutes of trying to ignore it Add finally gives up with a loud sigh, stomping outside to see what all the fuss is about...

A wolf. A black, freakish looking wolf that bears a striking resemblance to some of those ayakashi from back in March, digging around right outside his window. It raises its head to stare at him as soon as he steps into view, growling. He puts down a border immediately—but he realizes too late that the growling is also coming from behind him.

Two ayakashi. Surrounded. Add doesn't even have time to turn around before the second beast is lunging at him, digging its teeth into his leg until it burns with pain and blight, his barrier breaking apart the instant his body hits the ground and he screams—

But when the first one leaps forward to finish him off, it's thrown aside by a burst of light... no, a burst of hard light, from Apocalypse's body forming in front of him. He doesn't get a chance to question how it got here (didn't he leave it in his room?) before it lets out a piercingly loud screech, its body shifting into strange shapes before firing a thick energy beam directly at the creature gnawing at his leg. It snarls and releases him.

... Okay, so apparently this is the combat system he's been trying to access. Not the most ideal conditions for testing, but he'll take it.

Unfortunately, he's still not in the clear, considering both those attacks didn't seem to actually damage the ayakashi that are now circling him. He hisses painfully as he tries to pull in his leg, huddling underneath Apocalypse's protection. How long can it hold them off with its attacks...?

At least it would be pretty hard for anyone else in the household to ignore all this racket by now.]

[ Reiji is out and about by the time the vicious ayakashi hit. Luckily for him, he has his sword in preparation of training with Jakob later. Unfortunately for him, he's only one person in this district and fighting one of the taboo ayakashi, even if it's a weak one, is proving to be a challenge.

So he's basically running the hell away from it while speed dialing his god partner. ]

Souji! I need your help. There's this thing following me and it won't leave. I can't fight it off alone!

[ He tilts his phone backwards and Souji gets a blurred image of this. ]

[The two of them had gone to the main hall for some quick business before everything went to ayakashi hell, which was a bit of bad luck on King's part, because if he had known something like this was going on he would do everything in his power to not be around.

They left the building only to soon be met by a strange looking rodent. He has no idea if it's an ayakashi or something like the akaname they had come across, but either way, he stopped dead in his tracks, not caring if Genos stops or continues or whatever.]

Is that a...?

A. Early afternoon, outdoors at Vesta's temple

[The day starts out ordinarily enough. Ayumu's spent most of morning bustling around the temple doing her daily chores. At one point, she took a break from her housework to prepare some assorted riceballs for lunch, leaving them out on a tray before noon for her shinki to come eat at their leisure. After eating a quick bite herself, Ayumu heads out to the courtyard to tend the flowerbeds, watering can in hand. She's just about finished making her rounds when she hears heavy footfalls on the stone path leading up to the courtyard.

She glances up from the flowers she's watering just in time to see a very, large unusual creature headed straight for her.

An ayakashi? Here of all places?

Between her reflexes slowed by blight and the heavy fatigue accompanying it, Ayumu barely has time to teleport out of the way of the creature's charge. Once the ayakashi's loudly trampled all the flowers in its path to torn petals and bits of grass, it turns around to charge her a second time.

Blighted or not, Ayumu isn't just going to stand here and let it destroy her home, especially with her shinki still inside. Flame darts are already igniting to life in her hands, her expression hardening, as she hurls them both in the creature's face.

To little effect.

And the ayakashi is still coming.]

B. Closed to Yamato, Hijikata, and Okita

[Both the blight and the fighting are taking their toll on Ayumu, but she doesn't complain. She simply resumes her determined trek across Takamagahara, with only one goal in mind - find her brothers-in-arms and regroup. Those who come across her will see little trace of the cheerful, friendly hearth goddess they've met as Yumi in the stone-faced, cold-eyed woman currently battling her way toward Hachiman's temple, Yamato in hand.

For the second time today, a rhino ayakashi lumbers toward her before accelerating into a full charge.]

C. Evening, Vesta's temple

[The courtyard garden is in ruins but Ayumu's beyond caring. There's still much work to be done but she's in no condition to keep fighting and she knows it. She's pushed herself as much as she can today. Even she has her limits. She has no choice but to leave the rest to the others. It was all she could do to simply teleport back to her temple.

Ayumu's stubborn pride is all that's keeping her on her feet as she slowly walks back to the veranda. She sits down on the stone, leaning heavily against one of the columns for support. She's not quite ready to go inside just yet. She just needs a few minutes to collect herself.]

D. Wildcard

[ Satoshi wasn't sure what was going on; Ayumu told him to stay in the temple. With all the commotion going on outside, he wasn't sure he was going to be able to stay inside. No...he had to help in some way. Plus, what if Ayumu got hurt? He needed to be there to help her and his other friends!

Peeking out, he noticed the ayakashi attacking people and he immediately made up his mind. He wasn't going to sit around. The problem was that he couldn't really change without Ayumu, so he would have to have a weapon or something....

Going back into the temple, he grabbed the first thing he could find and ran outside, swinging it. Too bad a broom handle isn't going to do much to help against the ayakashi. Someone help this poor kid. ]

► 12PM: Explosive Quills
[There are strange hedgehogs around. Whenever they see someone, the quills from their back get fired into the air... and lands quite near their target's feet. The only indicators anyone would get are the quills flashing, before they explode.

The individual explosions aren't that big, but they're powerful. Combine with how many there are, all those quills would wear down on people.

Amane, herself, is trying to take shelter within a temple. But with how those strange creatures are still attacking, she made up her mind and seek out things she can do.

Are you going to take out that hedgehog beast? Hope you don't mind a girl's voice calling out "Watch out!", followed by an object thrown at the beast's head, temporarily distracting it and leaving itself open.

Behind a pillar is Amane, armed with whatever objects she found.]

► Post-Battle: Another Cleanup, Technically
[What a mess.

As if to make up for her relatively lacking power during the actual battles, Amane got herself a mop, cloth and a bucket of soapy water. She quickly head towards the nearest mess, doing her best clean up the mess. Fueled by her strong desire to be productive and do something, Amane seems like she have plenty of energy left in her.

Or maybe it's just pure adrenaline?

By chance, or noticing someone's approach, she looks up to see someone. And briefly stops to see how they are, like any injuries they may have. Regardless if they do or not, Amane decides to stop cleaning for a moment to walk over towards them.]

Excuse me. Do you have a moment?

[Forrest may have just fought a dragon, but he knows the job isn't over until Heaven has been fully cleansed of the influence of Sho's corrupted ayakashi. His healing staff took care of some of the damage, but he's still a little banged up. Even still, after the day is won he can be found slowly but diligently making his way around both the shrines in the Near Shore and the damaged locations in the Far Shore, using Lakshmi's power to cleanse the affected locations of the tainted graffiti as well as making short work of any rubble that's lying around. He can't do much to put out the fires, but he feels that he needs to do what he can right now.]

Before t=0 - Meeting Hall

[The Heavens were infested with ayakashi and on fire. It was a fight against her instincts, conscious and unconscious, to pull away from all that and head to the meeting hall.

[Sho had said come meet him there at 03:14:15 PM for an 'explanation'. She would've loved to have gotten an 'explanation' on everything. Or simply, to have a chance to fire off a shockwave while he was around. Either way, she'd find herself there, glancing around, heart pumping, as she double checked the time.

[Almost 03:14:15...]

Post-Battle - Susano'o Temples

[By the time it came to do 'clean up', Psyche was running on empty in more ways than one.

[There was a shimmer of a shockwave as she smashed where the graffiti was emblazed on one of the burning temples. Cleaning it was a mop or waiting for the fire to devour it was one way to deal with it but, in her current state, this was the quickest way to deal with it.

[As she watched the marking crumbled, her feet twinged again. However, she barely reacted beyond a faint grimace. She looked exhausted between the long day and the dragon fight but she couldn't feel enough to care, at the moment. Her expression was blanker than usual and her eyes were glossier, emptier, than usual.

[They'd appear to go duller as she fired another shockwave to finish off the graffiti.]

12PM: Several blocks away from Euterpe's temple (closed to Eno and Zoro)
[Sheryl has no reason to smile or laugh, not when the she skimmed through the latest BBS posts just a while ago, certainly not when she's running past the taboo ayakashi that threatens to surround her. They look weak enough, both in size and appearance, but safety comes in numbers and oh, boy, there are so many of them in massive swarms!

A frustrated yell comes out of her so easily, frantically looking both ways before she swivels on her heels, turning around to face the swarms. Fear is visible in her eyes, much to her chagrin, and she can hear her own breaths turning heavy from all that running. Two familiar faces are right by her side — her loyal, trustworthy shinki duo. No matter how rough her heart pounds against her chest, Sheryl Nome can't do this alone.

She musn't do this alone.]

Ryuki! Jinki!

[Sheryl stretches out both hands as she calls upon their vessel forms, one hand towards Eno, the other towards Zoro.]

Between 3PM and 6PM
[To say that Sheryl is angry is an understatement. Scared? Yes, but she is also pissed — absolutely, righteously pissed. The smell of smoke and blood filling her nose, the sight of corpses piling up, and the ayakashi weaving through the crowd are all sickening to her. She may not be able to give Susano'o a piece of her mind (but oh, she'd love to ruin him thoroughly for putting countless lives in danger), but all that fury must come out somehow.

A: Taboo ayakashi meet Wado Ichimonji. Sheryl is already grabbing on to the hilt of Zoro's shinki form, swinging the blade around and whacking some frog-like ayakashi into the air. Admittedly her form is not the best as she's still got a long way to go, but she's putting all her power into her movements. Sheryl is definitely no slouch, not even the sweat and splotches on her arms can deter her.

But watch out! Thanks to her swings, one of the ayakashi may just hover over your head.

B: As a professional singer, neglecting her own power to sway the masses with her songs is beneath her. She knows too well what her voice is capable of. Music isn't supposed to be a weapon, but saving the people around her takes high priority.

And so, she sings a very sorrowful tune, all for the sake of putting these monsters in a trance. It's not easy transmitting her vocals when her own feelings are running haywire, especially not when the ayakashi are fighting back against the hypnosis. Slowly, however, their bodies stiffen in place.]

Post-Battle Healing
[It's finally over. Sheryl can actually take a long, well-needed rest — or rather, she could have if she isn't playing nurse right now.

What's very noticeable about her is the amount of bandages that cover several parts of her body. There's a square-shaped bandage taped on her cheek, not to mention parts of her arms and thighs are covered with wrapped cloth. Even her dress isn't safe; she's missing her left sleeve and the hem of her skirt is torn up. With her pink hair up in a messy bun, loose strands sticking to her face, the entire look screams less "glamorous pop diva" and more "woman who just fought in hell".]

Hold still already! I need to close this up.

[Here, have an exasperated look. Instead of worrying about her appearance, she's cleaning up someone's wound with a cotton ball and a bottle of rubbing alcohol nearby. Some rolls of bandages are next to Sheryl as well, all in various colors and sizes. It's thanks to the remaining Heavens' shinki who supplied her with the first-aid kit, really.

You're either the character on the receiving end of Sheryl's care or simply watching this scene unfold.]

[Man, it was JUST YATO'S LUCK that he was out ~~stalking Hiyori~~ doing something important when all hell broke lose - possibly literally? And of course he came back just in time to help clean up the mess.

Wearing his fluffy-fluff scarf over his mouth and nose and a pair of rubber gloves on his hands, he can be found scrubbing intensely at some of the graffiti on Susano'o's shrine.]

Ahhhhh, maaaaannnnn. I can't believe I missed such a good fight...!!
