002 | Tokyo In Trouble
Who: Everyone!
What: Surprise! There's a disaster on the Near Shore.
When: Late at night (February 24, 2016) into mid-afternoon (February 25, 2016)
Where: The Meeting Hall of the Heavens AND various places around Tokyo
Summary: A nice little greeting for the new guests and an unpleasant surprise for the older ones~

A sudden, loud blast of noise persists throughout the entirety of the Heavens. It sounds much like a war horn of ancient times being played at a decibel that is meant to shake the very core of every being within its range. No matter how much you might try to block out the noise, it remains ringing in your ears deafeningly, and somehow you find yourself compelled towards the Meeting Hall - the place where you were first introduced to the Heavens and what you have gotten wrapped up in.
Anyone checking their phones will notice a large, bright red alert flashing at them - 'EMERGENCY! REPORT IMMEDIATELY!' It seems that the Heavens have taken to using modern technology for their messages as well.
Once you have reached the Meeting Hall, you will find that every wall has turned into a sort of television screen, displaying various streets and buildings in Tokyo, everyone one literally crawling with ayakashi both big and small. A voice that you recognize as Amaterasu's - though you would never be able to describe it properly - rings throughout the halls.
"We need your help, brave gods, loyal shinki. A rift the likes of which we have never dealt with has opened on the Near Shore. We must end the ayakashi who are harming our dear followers. Please come to our aid in this time of need."

Meeting Hall
The once garishly decorated Meeting Hall looks very much like the base of operations for an army at war. There are gods gearing up with shinki and man-made gear as well and plenty of gods and shinki saying prayers before they head out to battle. Everything you might need to make yourself feel safe during a fight has been provided, including every type of weaponry. But, of course, only shinki wielded by a god can actually destroy an ayakashi.
Counselling
In the main hallway, there is an innocuous door with a small, nicely written sign that reads "Gentle Counselling". Inside the door is a small room with a few sweetly smiling shinki inside who are willing to listen to your problems and answer any questions you might have. They are also here to help out any gods that are having a hard time dealing with knowing about how their shinki died and any shinki that is having trouble coming to terms with the fact that they are dead.
February 24
The rift that has opened is so vast that there is literally nowhere in Tokyo that you can go without encountering a rampaging group of ayakashi. Everything is utter chaos and there are creatures everywhere for you to fight. Let's just hope that you can get out of this dangerous battlefront mostly unscathed.
February 25
Towards the middle of the day, it will seem that the ayakashi are becoming fewer and further between. Things seem to be calming down a lot, though they are nowhere near normal yet, especially since the rift is taking longer to close than the Heavens would like. Fortunately, no new ayakashi have escaped into the Near Shore from the rift since this morning, due to a barrier that has been placed around it. Still, the ayakashi seem to be really hell-bent on getting away from you all now rather than fighting...

In Summary:
- There are a ton of ayakashi on the Near Shore that need to be destroyed.
- The newbies are getting one hell of a welcome as a result.
- Seek counselling if you need it!
- Go kick some evil ass.
- Comment to the first thread to get a randomly generated number of ayakashi to face.
- Mods will gladly play out any ayakashi interactions where requested.
- Try not to get killed~

[Tsuzuki looks up, blinking. He'd been so focused on the work that he hadn't even noticed her showing up -- uh -- and who is she?]
Thanks. Um -- nice to meet you! I'm Asato Tsuzuki.
no subject
[She takes kneels down smoothing her skirt as she takes a seat next him to before holding her hand out to him in greeting.]
Nice to meet you, Tsuzuki-san~!!!
[She practically says the words in a sing-song tune, especially his name. Though her attention shifts back to the strips of paper.]
Wow, you've made so many. What are all these for?
no subject
Tsuzuki sits back and reaches out to shake her hand, gesturing to the papers as he lets go.]
Spell papers. I'm not fighting ayakashi with just hand-to-hand weapons! For one thing, I'm pretty bad with those.
no subject
[Hajime repeats the words thoughtfully as she picks up one of the papers, holding it up in the air to get a better look. She turns it this way and that, even flips it over as if that will give her some idea. There seemed to be a lot of care given to the papers. It doesn't look magical to her but so long as they were magical to Tsuzuki that's what mattered right? Maybe Tsuzuki had a special way of making the spell work? ]
I haven't seen any Ayakashi yet! I just, Poof'ed here but It's really exciting!
[She looks back to Tsuzuki]
I bet you're good at drawing too.
no subject
I've just been doing this for a long time. So, what are you? God or shinki?
no subject
[ Hajime claps her hands together, grinning. Be art buddies, come on, you know you want to. But at the next question she blinks.]
I'm a Gatchaman! But ever since I got here everyone here is calling me a God, or Neith but I'm just me!
[It's all super weird but interesting. She's no God but willing to do her best to help everyone]
no subject
So you're a God, huh? Me too. [He doesn't recognize the name Neith. Maybe it's another Western god, like Freyja. Shrugging it off, he smiles cheerfully at her.]
What's a Gatchaman?
no subject
Deal! Next time you're free, lets draw! I want to see for myself!
[Hajime perks and leans forward, clearly pleased. Gods and all that business was super interesting but sitting down and doodling with someone. Seeing what they could do with a blank sheet of paper...what they would create. That was way more her style!]
Gatchaman are heroes! You know! Save the day and help everyone no matter what! I thought everyone knew what Gatchaman were but this place does look super different.
[She waves her arms, gesturing to the world around her.]
no subject
[Tsuzuki laughs, a little awkwardly -- he's really not good at art, and it's kind of embarrassing to wound up stuck in a promise to prove how bad he is -- and glances up at her face.]
So you're a pro hero, huh? You must be looking forward to this fight.
no subject
[She blinks a bit at that. Without her NOTE or a shinki there really isn't too much she can do at the moment, but that won't stop her from trying.]
Are you looking forward to fighting Tsuzuki-san?
no subject
[Even in the best of situations, when no one dies or even gets hurt, fighting winds up causing a lot of damage and destruction. People get scared, and, well, there's always the chance that they'll be hurt, too.]
Isn't fighting to help people what heroes do, though? I mean, unless you usually save the day some other way.
[...He's never been very heroic.
He's not clear on the rules.]
no subject
[ Her eyes drift away from his papers to the weapons nearby him.]
There are lots of ways to be a hero without fighting. Just charging into things and not thinking about it would be super bad. Sometimes people don't even know why they're fighting each other, you know? I'm not too sure about this place, but I'll figure out what I need to do. Fighting or not fighting. Right now, talking to you feels right!
[She flashes another big smile. Fighting did usually lead to damage and what not. Hajime isn't new to it but it isn't her preferred way of going about things. But she'll give it her best.]
no subject
I don't know what's the best thing to do if we figure out who released them all in the middle of a big city like this, but for now, it's pretty easy to figure out how to help.
Most living humans couldn't fight something like that, so this is where the Gods have to protect them.
[He returns her smile.]
Because we can.
no subject
[Hajime hums a bit as she crosses her arms thoughtfully. She doesn't have enough information, she needs to figure things out. She's too new. Things work differently here.]
Good thing you're a God then too! I believe in you, Tsuzuki-san! I bet you'll shine bright when you need to!!
no subject
No, they don't know what they're doing. Once that happens to a spirit, there's not usually much left of the person that they once were....
[Ghosts that retain their identity are one thing. Ayakashi are something completely different.]
... They're not really like a person at all anymore. You'll probably see. Um -- you've got a shinki, right?
no subject
[Hajime continues to hum a bit at that. They're not who they once were.]
So, they're just Poof, gone? That's hard to believe that someone just disappear like that. Mmm...
[Her smile fades a bit at that, more because she's thinking more now. Ayakashi were difficult to understand. They were people but not anymore. strange. But would destroying ever ayakashi would actually help? Seemed endless. She taps her chin thoughtfully before catching his question and perking at it.]
Oh! Nope. It's just me.
no subject
[He's glad to move on to another subject, though, even if this one puts a new worried frown on his face.]
Wait, you don't have a shinki? At all? Are you going to get mixed up with the fight anyway?
no subject
[There's a tiny shrug in there]
I can't just stay here.... There's got to be something I can do. I'll just give it my best shot.
no subject
[Even if he's not sure if those normal weapons work against a spirit, it's got to be better than going in and trying to wrestle it barehanded.]
Or -- do you have any other abilities? That you could fight with?
no subject
[Her smile is warm as she pushes herself up to stand, smoothing her skirt. She winks at him, holding a peace sign by her cheek.]
You be careful too Tsuzuki! Do your best!! Who knows what can happen!
no subject
Hey, I'll see you after we get this mess cleaned up for that drawing, okay? Maybe you can give me some art tips while we're at it!
no subject
I can't wait! It'll be lots of fun! Don't forget Tsuzu-kun!
[She beams again at him, shorting his name just comes as a natural thing to do.]
no subject
I won't forget, Ha-chan! Hey -- I'm gonna be sticking around Asakusa. If you run into anybody tough, head my way, and maybe between the two of us we can take it.
no subject
Okay! I'll keep that in mind. You take care too! Byebye!
[Hajime winks to him, giving a quick thumbs up before skipping off without a worry in the world. Time to see what she could do to help the city. She was a hero after all]
