002 | Tokyo In Trouble
Who: Everyone!
What: Surprise! There's a disaster on the Near Shore.
When: Late at night (February 24, 2016) into mid-afternoon (February 25, 2016)
Where: The Meeting Hall of the Heavens AND various places around Tokyo
Summary: A nice little greeting for the new guests and an unpleasant surprise for the older ones~

A sudden, loud blast of noise persists throughout the entirety of the Heavens. It sounds much like a war horn of ancient times being played at a decibel that is meant to shake the very core of every being within its range. No matter how much you might try to block out the noise, it remains ringing in your ears deafeningly, and somehow you find yourself compelled towards the Meeting Hall - the place where you were first introduced to the Heavens and what you have gotten wrapped up in.
Anyone checking their phones will notice a large, bright red alert flashing at them - 'EMERGENCY! REPORT IMMEDIATELY!' It seems that the Heavens have taken to using modern technology for their messages as well.
Once you have reached the Meeting Hall, you will find that every wall has turned into a sort of television screen, displaying various streets and buildings in Tokyo, everyone one literally crawling with ayakashi both big and small. A voice that you recognize as Amaterasu's - though you would never be able to describe it properly - rings throughout the halls.
"We need your help, brave gods, loyal shinki. A rift the likes of which we have never dealt with has opened on the Near Shore. We must end the ayakashi who are harming our dear followers. Please come to our aid in this time of need."

Meeting Hall
The once garishly decorated Meeting Hall looks very much like the base of operations for an army at war. There are gods gearing up with shinki and man-made gear as well and plenty of gods and shinki saying prayers before they head out to battle. Everything you might need to make yourself feel safe during a fight has been provided, including every type of weaponry. But, of course, only shinki wielded by a god can actually destroy an ayakashi.
Counselling
In the main hallway, there is an innocuous door with a small, nicely written sign that reads "Gentle Counselling". Inside the door is a small room with a few sweetly smiling shinki inside who are willing to listen to your problems and answer any questions you might have. They are also here to help out any gods that are having a hard time dealing with knowing about how their shinki died and any shinki that is having trouble coming to terms with the fact that they are dead.
February 24
The rift that has opened is so vast that there is literally nowhere in Tokyo that you can go without encountering a rampaging group of ayakashi. Everything is utter chaos and there are creatures everywhere for you to fight. Let's just hope that you can get out of this dangerous battlefront mostly unscathed.
February 25
Towards the middle of the day, it will seem that the ayakashi are becoming fewer and further between. Things seem to be calming down a lot, though they are nowhere near normal yet, especially since the rift is taking longer to close than the Heavens would like. Fortunately, no new ayakashi have escaped into the Near Shore from the rift since this morning, due to a barrier that has been placed around it. Still, the ayakashi seem to be really hell-bent on getting away from you all now rather than fighting...

- There are a ton of ayakashi on the Near Shore that need to be destroyed.
- The newbies are getting one hell of a welcome as a result.
- Seek counselling if you need it!
- Go kick some evil ass.
- Comment to the first thread to get a randomly generated number of ayakashi to face.
- Mods will gladly play out any ayakashi interactions where requested.
- Try not to get killed~

Wooow!
[Hajime perks hearing his voice. She turn dramatically, her arm and finger extended to point at him. Just in case he goes to vanish again.]
There!
[She smile's triumphantly at Sho, as if she's the true winner, before lowering her hand skipping over to him]
That was amazing! So fast! So fassst~! Bang here! Bang there! You were untouchable! Awesome!
no subject
He's taken aback by the enthusiasm. It's not every day he's greeted in such a positive way, especially when he'd been showing someone just how inferior they were. The whole script is turned on its head as she excitedly proclaims his awesomeness. It's not normal!
Of course, she's entirely right about him. It's an effort of will to keep the confusion from being anything more than a flicker on his face. ]
Damn right I'm zetta fast. [ He shrugs like it's no big deal. Really, it's not at all flustering to be faced with compliments. Not in the least. Nope. ] These half-ass hectopascals have nothing on me.
no subject
[ His words are interesting too! She's not exactly sure why he's using them in that way but it's easy enough to understand overall. Zetta fast had a super cute ring to it too! She giggles, brightening up that much more.]
Thanks for the help too!
[Hajime stops just in front of him, smiling away like it' an other bright sunny day and Sho just pulled off a really cool trick. She holds her hand out to him.]
I'm Hajime! Nice to meet you!
no subject
Susano'o. The greatest god you'll ever get to meet.
[ The ayakashi under his boot has finally managed to wriggle out. He glances down, relieved for the new focus and briefly amused by the squeaky-toy noise it makes. It's overkill for such a small fry, but he takes aim as it scrambles away and squeezes the trigger.
There's something novel about how ayakashi are erased. ]
What's a single digit like you doin' out here? [ It's strangely like small talk, and he has no idea why his words came out like that. ]
no subject
Susano'o.... [Interesting name too! Her attention also drifts to the little ayakashi. Before she can even react, Susano'o takes care of it in a flash. The tiny thing really didn't look dangerous. Sorta like MESS. Did they really have to take them all out? Hm...]
You've got good aim, Susano'o-san! Tigger happy, too!
[She spreads her arms, gesturing to the city.]
I'm helping out! But I don't have my NOTE or a Shinki so I'm doing what I can to help everyone, you know?
no subject
But in an interestingly blatantly suicidal way, especially given that he's tried erasing those things with his native powers and had found the necessity of using his shinki. All his earlier experiments had earned him were some painful, persistent marks that he's been ignoring, so she's clearly doomed. ]
Then you're just the variable I need. [ Let it never be said that he wouldn't take advantage of an opportunity when it showed up. ] C'mon, you can play bait for me until something erases you.
no subject
[Stated like it's an obvious fact without any doubt. Unfazed. She doesn't want to get erased and thus won't get herself in that situation. Just because she's running around town gathering various ayakashi so they leave the citizens alone doesn't mean she has any interest in dying. she just smiles confidently and gives the fellow god a little salute.]
You don't worry about that, Susano'o-san! Let's work together! I'll bring all the ayakashi to you and help how ever I can. It'll be fun! I'm counting on you Susano'o!!
no subject
This will be a well calculated function. ]
Watch closely. I'll take 'em down at 299,792,458 meters per second.
[ The sky is becoming increasingly overcast as he flits away in another crackle of static. He reappears some eight meters up in the air, taking a potshot at a cluster of eyeballs out of his range.
He calls down to her, ] You'd better not lose count!
no subject
Roger!! I'll do my best!
[She grins before moving on. Time to get some ayakashis together and save the town. This will be easier with Susano'o's help. Come to think of it, Susano'o was a pretty long name. Susu? Maybe just Sausan? Hmmm~! She would have to think about it a bit. But for now: ]
Ayakashi! Over here! Let's play some more!
♫Let's go! Let's go! Ready set go!
If you catch me, what will you know!
Pick up the pace it's time to go!
Lets go! Lets go! Ready set go!~♫
[Singing. She's singing and waving her arms around, calling (loudly) joyfully out to the surrounding corrupting beings. Even going so far as to skip under between the legs of one of the larger ones she passes. There's no fear or hesitation. Hajime just going about her merry way. ]
no subject
He’s all in now. While it’s a self-defined challenge, Minamimoto doesn’t know how to lose gracefully.
Now if only the pain radiating from the purple blotches on his arm would cut it out, this would be a great day. He can’t double-check, but he’s halfway convinced that they’re starting to slowly expand their effective area, corruption that either bypassed his natural regeneration or defeated it with a higher damage per second. He’s no stranger to having something vile creeping in his soul, so he’s fine. He's perfectly fine, never mind the fact that he's starting to need to steady his aim with his other hand or that he’s actually starting to break a sweat.
He flickers in near her when the biggest ones are down. ] Pop quiz! What’s my count?
no subject
Seeing none of the ayakashis in a concerning range, she stops the spin when she faces Susano'o. Her arms are still spread out and now her feet are apart to match. Safe!]
Pop Quiz?
[Hajime blinks at that. He just keeps adding new things in, but okay, she's game! She hums thoughtfully as she relaxes her posture. Her arms fall back to her sides as she teeters from heel to toe and toe to heel repeatedly]
Ding-Ding~♫! That's eaaassss~y! Too many for me to keep count because of your zetta speed!
[She's not wrong. And using his cute word just makes her smile that much brighter as she makes a peace sign with her right hand.]
no subject
It'd usually be worth completely disproportionate irritation that she lost count when he told her to do otherwise, but he's too busy preening. Minamimoto offers her a vague, lazy salute-like gesture. ]
Ranking in at the top of the class here. [ That came out more breathlessly than intended. He'll just take a little break while the ayakashi are out of range, and he flops to sit on a curb. Canting his head to the side, he watches Hajime. ]
You're zetta fun to party with.
no subject
[There we go! That name is so much more fitting and easier to day. Granted, Susan would have worked too but Susu sounds more catchy and Susano'o needed a catchy name to go with his strong personality. He's really interesting and his numerical speech is a bonus to that. Some of the things he said were hard for her to understand but that was okay! She was sometimes hard to understand too! But Hajime would do her best to understand Susano'o even if they just met.]
Am I? That's good! I told you I wouldn't get erased, right? Right! It's too much fun to party with you too!
[She beams, skipping over to him before plopping down on the curb right next to him. Susano'o had the right idea! Hajime stretches out her legs and leans back, smiling as a cool breeze blows through. She's not tired, not in the slightest but sitting down until the Ayakashi catch up isn't a bad way to spend time. Actually, he seems more spent then she is. Was he using a lot of energy? Now that he's sitting still and so close, she can get a better look at him now. The sweat is the first thing to catch her attention and there's something else... Hmmm]
Susu-san, did you get into a lot of fights before you found me? You're super strong but I can see some wear and tear! You okay?
no subject
Irked by the call-out, he scrubs a hand over his face and grumbles something unflattering under his breath. It doesn't even matter. Ayakashi-bait there can't take advantage, and she clearly didn't have any more capable allies in the wings waiting for their shot. He's distracted from his crankiness by a chance to get a better look at that blight, eyes narrowing to baleful, feline slits. ]
Heh, somewhere around forty, but I've got their number now.
[ Wear and tear? Like hell he had wear and tear. He's just getting started.
He's also delusional, but that's nothing new. ]
no subject
It looks so angry...
[The purplish color that is. She lifts her hand to touch but stops, something deep inside warning her against it. This isn't like anything she's seen before but she knows its not good. Maybe it was a god thing? Who knows. Whatever it is, they need to take care of it. She doesn't want anything happen to her new friend.]
Susu-san, we should get this looked at first, okay? I think it's spreading. You're super strong and everything but let's take care of this.
[Her hands clap together. Idea!]
Let's go back to that Meeting hall place! I bet someone there knows something! Get this fixed up, water and then we can get back to it! The Ayakashi will think they've got us on the run, then we'll pop back in and you can go BANG! BANG! BOOOM!
[She even makes gun firing motions with her fingers to each 'BANG' before throwing her hands upwards]
They'll be super surprised!
no subject
I don't need help from a bunch of zeros. [ His glare transfers over to her.
While the spread of his tattoos obscure the boundaries of the blight somewhat, he's not succeeding in wiping it out. Static flickers briefly like noise in an analog video, and there's even a brief moment where something like the silhouette of a horned lion might even be visible.
But there's still no progress, and he's just ramping up for no reason when he realizes belatedly that he should be catching his breath. ] Son of a digit.
[ He doesn't want to retreat even briefly, but she might have a point. ]
no subject
Hajime watches in awe as she watches the dark tattoos crawl along. It's really cool! And...kinda gross, but still cool! Although she had already decided, this just furthers her thoughts of there being much more to Susu.]
Suuuuuusuuuuu-sannnnn! [Now her cheeks puff out with air as she pouts a bit]
Look at me. I'm right here next to you! C'mon, it'll be super quick. You poof around zetta fast already right? Right! No time will be wasted if we go there zetta fast, fix up and come back!
no subject
First outer, inner last. I've got time. [ Except he doesn't, and he is distinctly alarmed by the dawning realization that he'd pushed too far. The effort to get back to his feet so he might storm off is enough to make him realize "inner last" might just start to sneak up on him. This is no state to be in if he wants to really commit to erasing every ayakashi in his path.
If there's an easy fix, they might as well go for it. It's not like he's giving in when the math pans out like that. He reaches for her with his unblighted hand without even thinking to explain his change in plans. ] C'mon. It'd better be a zetta quick fix.
no subject
She perks at the hand reaching out for her, her smile perking up at the edges. Susano'o doesn't have to explain! His actions speak louder.]
Roger!
[Before he can grab her, Hajime takes his hand with her own eagerly. This girl is way too trusting of someone she just met and that more or less used her as bait.]
Let's go!
no subject
Minamimoto stares, nonplussed, at the hand that ends up in his own. He'd just intended on snatching her up before teleporting, but this worked too. He grunts an assent, gripping her hand tight so he can drag her along when he shifts spatial coordinates. Teleportation is as natural as breathing to him after his time in the UG, but it was a little different to conceive bringing other people along.
After one interim stop, he'll get them to their destination. Minamimoto mutters a name under his breath as he pulls away. When a startled boy in a brand new hoodie and torn jeans appears, Sho glances sidelong at his bait. The shinki starts to say something, but he's cut off by his master. ]
You wanted to fix this. You figure it out. Take Picowatt if you want.
[ In short, he can't go around asking for help and intends on lurking grumpily in the background. ]
