I know about meeting people who come from their own different worlds, that part's obvious. I meant the ones they came to after that, like this one. [He's more trying to figure out if he's likely to get diverted to yet another world before he gets back to his own, because he'd really rather not.

The idea of worlds where people had to kill to survive doesn't surprise Shun particularly, and he just gives a slight nod.]

Of course there'd always be worse worlds than these ones. [His own is still in the midst of a war, but he's been so distrustful of this place that he's not sure which he'd call worse.]

I haven't met anyone here other than me and the guy who looks like me that came from a world before this one. Sora's been to more worlds than me that weren't home, but like me, he just came and went when he could.

[World hoppers. That's what they are.]

I don't know if you gotta worry about that. It doesn't happen that often.

Are you sure they were worlds, and not dimensions? I've moved dimensions on the same plane of existence before. [Don't mind him, he's just trying to frame this in the way he's familiar with interdimensional and inter-world travel.]

Good. At least I might be able to get back to my own world whenever we get out of this place, then.

Definitely worlds. They were all way too different to be dimensions. One of them was Agrabah, and another was called Wonderland. Wonderland had playing cards that were people. Agrabah had a genie! [And then there's Atlantis, which he never personally went to.]

You really miss your home that much?

Dimensions can be strongly different. I've been to two other far different cities in the place where mine is across dimensions. [Heartland in his world, City in Synchro, and Maiami in Standard, all of which have completely different societies and landmarks.

There's a slight shake of the head at the question.] I'm in the middle of something important in my own world. I don't want to get sidetracked.

I used dark portals to move around, but Sora had to travel in something like a space ship. [See the difference?]

Maybe someone here can figure out a way for us to go back home temporarily.

[Okay, fine, that does sound different enough that Shun inclines his head slightly.] We used teleportation devices and wormholes, though wormholes are so unstable you'd have to be insane to use one willingly.

[He and the others who got dragged into one were damn lucky it came out in Shun's own world.]

If someone had the power to bring us here, I doubt they don't have the power to keep us here.

[That sounds terrifying.] Did anyone ever die?

[Roxas is really, really disliking the whole being trapped in a world thing. Nothing much he can do about it.]

Maybe if we actually had a choice in what we wanted to do here I'd be less mad at them. I need to go back home.

Maybe. [Shun's tone is somewhat cold, given the main person he's thinking of deserved every bit of what he got if he's lost between worlds. The other person...well, that's not a topic he wants to broach.]

So we have the same problem, then. More important things to do back home when they could get others to serve the same purpose here. If they didn't just pull others who need to be in their own worlds.

[So portals and doors back home are safer than the wormholes. Good to know.]

I think... this world needs these gods. For more than just ayakashi hunting. Gods are supposed to be there for their worshipers, right? Even though I need to get back home, I think all I can do here is to help as many people as I can. Maybe then they'll send me home.

I've been doing the job here, at least, but if there's a way to get home that I can take, then I'll take it. If they want me back here, they can wait until after I'm done with things back home.

[He has a war to finish. At least if he did finish it before coming back, he might be able to settle in a little more easily.

Then again, there's also the question of who he'd be leaving behind here.]
