[ Not exactly which 'god' -- Nagi doesn't care about that. But has he been here long enough to grow an ego? Like Amaterasu and Fuujin and their ilk? Those kinds don't really condescend to show themselves very much. But they might have more useful information than the newer gods. ]
Otegine... nice to meet you. I'm pretty sure I smelled something already burning a few minutes ago. I'm guessing it's at the fire pit I saw earlier, but maybe it's not...
Why not? There's nothing stopping you from using one. [Just put a dog leash on a cat and boom, cat leash! Or buy one of those leashed harnesses that really are used for cats...
More hands sounds like it'd be better at holding down a cat, but when Add tries to adjust her position for Genos she slips free. He makes a surprised noise, hands still grasping at empty air as she dashes away.]
—Hey, get back here! [He didn't even get to pet the cat properly...! This is completely unacceptable!
Ah, but wait! This is where technology comes in handy. He turns to his cube, hastily lifting the box off of it (and struggling with the weight, even though it doesn't even look that heavy).] Apocalypse, capture that cat!
[The hovering cube flickers with light, then silently zips off down the hall, pursuing its target. And Add doesn't even have to move an inch. Easy!]
[ He says this after maneuvering his phone interface to open up the 'new contact' menu. If Souma manages to catch sight of his phone wallpaper, he'll see that it's a picture of Reiji and Souji together doing something fun. ]
. . . I see what you mean. Being a butler must be hard work. [ If what he's seen is anything to go by, at least. Since, well, he's not exactly helping. ] You're really dedicated to what you do, aren't you?
[ For when he finds it, his ashtray looks like this! Hopefully he'll be able to figure out what it is... ]
That would depend on whether he does as his adviser says. At the end of the day, an adviser is not the one who makes the decisions. But it's still important for those who do to listen to counsel.
[ He smiles, moving back to the side of the wall to continue building it up. ] That is also a shinki's job. To help their god have a different perspective on things.
[He gratefully accepts the napkin, spending a few more moments coughing and trying to clear his throat. There's a cup of water on the table, and he's going to take a greedy gulp just to wash it all down.]
Y-yes, my lady.
[Drinks aside, they have a couple of other matters to settle.] I'm not sure if my lady is aware, but as your shinki I have a name that you can call on to summon me. I've also been told that I can...assume a different form, to assist you in your duties.
[ By this point he's uselessly sorted one pile entirely into another, and he's playing with what looks like an antique ratchet. He tosses it on top of the rest. New things can be had on the Near Shore for free, anyway.
He shuffles over toward the door and slouches against the wall there, sliding his hands in his pockets. ]
It's not a bad promotion, though, huh? And on top of being a god of warriors, it's your pantheon running the show here, you know?
[ If it's a view she wants, she's in luck. As is befitting maybe, for a sun god, there are plenty of windows to go around, and the house seems to sit right in the middle of a lot of views. ]
The yard? Yeah, a few. There's one that looks over the courtyard. And one over the pool...
[ He takes them upstairs, which is just as white as the downstairs. There's a large bathroom that he points out as he passes by it. ]
I have another shinki, Haru. He's out running errands now. I'll introduce you when he gets back.
[ ...he wonders whether he should mention that Haru isn't like the other shinkis. ]

[That's quite a scathing review. Omi doesn't completely disagree with it, but it's clear that this person doesn't have any reservations about bluntness.
He does wrinkle his brow a little, though.]
What rules around shinki are arbitrary and ridiculous?
[That would be an understatement. May was on the same level as Roxas when it came to the hierarchy of the temple. Ludger knows Add complains about her, but he secretly knows the other man does indeed like the cat. After all, why else would Add have gotten so upset about Ludger having her?
Ludger just smiles brightly as his answer to Sora. He should definitely come over and see this pretty cat for himself.]
[Sonic arches an eyebrow at the whole "took care of the bystanders" line, but he has to admit, that's a lot more responsible than a lot of other heroes are. He's also a little skeptical at being offered the fight, but hey, he's not about to turn it down.]
[He brushes past King on the way into the bathroom, purposely bumping into him with his shoulder as a test of the hero's strength and an assertion of dominance.]
[He doesn't make it three steps into the room before the akaname charges him, but then, the akaname doesn't make it three steps towards him before it's decapitated, its head rolling across the floor towards King's feet]
...Was that all? [he nudges the corpse with one foot, then glances around the room in anticipation] That's disappointing.
Mmh... Historically, Diana liked mountains and forests. She had the ability to talk to animals and control them, and she had strong associations with the moon and with childbirth. Like Artemis, she had a twin brother named Apollo, and she was one of three maiden goddesses who swore she'd never marry. She's associated with oak trees and deer, and was usually depicted carrying a bow and quiver.
I wasn't very familiar with her before, but after... this happened, I did a little research.
