Who: the nerds
What: flash...cards...
When: April 24th evening
Where: hazel's lame western temple
Warnings: none they're dumb
[Well, with one tedious assigned mission out of the way, Jae-Ha was ready to return home. Earlier in the day he'd avoided enough interaction and conversation by browsing the internet, as the kids say, (and drinking with a person or two) and after that was the assigned mission. In a way, he's been gone all day, mentioning his whereabouts to Hazel but not lingering for very long at all. He's just a busy man. That must be it.
Well, he'd originally planned to go out drinking again tonight, but after all of the violence and the thinking he's had to endure, all he wants to do is go back and find some way to relax on his own. So, he'll slip into the temple through the window of the music room, as if he doesn't already live here.
Still, it's only polite to call out so he doesn't alarm him into picking up a lamp again. So, loudly, for wherever in the house Hazel is:]
I'm back, safe and sound. Did you miss me? [He's sure Hazel had probably noticed feelings here and there... So who knows what he was thinking.]

I feel like I should be gettin' a "thanks, teacher."
no subject
Either way, Jae-Ha has perfect reason to stare only at their hands as he laughs, his fingers stiffly staying in place where they were directed.]
What a demanding teacher you are. [But now he can touch the pen to the paper a lot easier, and after tracing out the J, he glances over to Hazel.]
Thanks, teacher. [He says it with exaggerated sweetness, of course.]
no subject
There's his sass... Thanks for the thanks.]
I've got a troublin' student, so I've got no choice but to make demands. I think he's doin' well, though.
no subject
[He sits up a little straighter as he says this, leaning with exaggerated slowness towards Hazel. He'll even bring his hand with the pen back up to tap the end of it on his lips as he thinks.]
I suppose, after everything, I could give in to a demand or two. [Just one or two, of course. The pen touches back down to the paper even with him leaning a little like this. Tracing, yes, he's sure it's very interesting to watch.]
no subject
I'll let ya know. [genius... nailed it] So I'll consider those an IOU until the right moment.
no subject
In other words, you'll make me wait. That's a little cruel, teacher. [How long will he go on wondering if there will ever be demands??
Really, maybe he should go back to avoiding, but at the same time, that wouldn't do much for the god-shinki relationship they have now. Maybe that's just an excuse to stick around, though.]
no subject
There's a sayin' that good things come for boys who wait. You'll make it somehow.
[He needs to recover from that thirst assault, meanwhile.]
no subject
[Don't say it like that, now he's Thinking. He's got a dangerous imagination to distract himself from all of the smiling he does all over. He finishes tracing his name once, pushing these thoughts aside with a thoughtful hum as if he's not so sure.
After a few moments, he passes the pen back over.] Write your name for me, again.
[He can trace more than his own name, like that!]
no subject
Oh- the whole thing? [He says this, and takes the pen to write his whole name anyway. There it is, beautifully presented to be traced on.]
no subject
[He takes that pen back, and somehow he's perfected how to hold it so quickly after the last time. That's fine, don't pay attention to that as he starts tracing this one too.]
Do you think it's a little strange that Amaterasu would have me go somewhere with a man that wasn't my own god? [Just out of the blue, yes.] With ayakashi involved, you'd think that would be key.
no subject
I reckon it's a lil odd. They're not payin' attention up in the big house where they make their plans, that's my guess. There's not a logical reason I can think of to start splittin' us up when ayakashi get involved.
[He's kind of offended... Amaterasu is rude??]
no subject
[It's weird!! Jae-Ha's not personally offended, but he sure is baffled.] That Konzen fellow barely knew how to push, let alone fight. If I was meant to be some sort of bodyguard while we wandered around, I at least accomplished that much.
[Except they couldn't even kill any ayakashi if they ran into any!! Because they weren't partnered!! Jae-Ha doesn't understand.]
no subject
He can't hammer a nail, either, did ya know that? I've never met a man more dependent on his pretty face than literally anythin' else. [Because it's not like he has a warm and inviting personality...!!]
I take it ya didn't have a fun mornin' out.
no subject
Instead, he traces over this a far too much before he catches himself and moves to the z.]
We were able to stop the violence in the area, so it was still a success... But I don't think he enjoyed it, so how could I?
no subject
Outta spite. [hazel] Well, did ya get somethin' for your trouble, or not? I'd say they owe ya for it.
no subject
[Hazel, gosh. It still gets a smirk out of Jae-Ha, though.] If there was any reward, I didn't know about it.
[He didn't really want one. But he was bothered more than he should be about being far from Hazel while dealing with something troubling like ayakashi. It was this dumb worry out of nowhere, like the same thing that's happened to Yona and so many others might happen to him if he's gone and occupied for too long.
That's too much, certainly. As long as he's here like this, right now, then he can prevent something like that. Probably.]
You probably had bad feelings here and there, so I'm sorry for that.
no subject
...Ah, yes,] The mopin', I know. I'm forgivin' ya now, so don't get in a mood about it again.
no subject
[It was kind of moping, though. He's tracing Hazel's last name now as his free hand touches to his own chest.] I can't help that the heart feels what it wants. A simple man like myself can't stop that. So you're stuck with it, as well.
[Enjoy.]
no subject
Aren't I just... I did say I'm forgivin' it. [The shoujo speech is embarrassing, he didn't ask for that.] Are ya tryin' to bargain for the next time? It's not like I've got a choice here.
no subject
It's only a reminder that we're connected. [Like the feelings alone aren't enough reminder!! He laughs, finishing his tracing and setting the pen down, looking satisfied.]
I think I've made plenty of progress tonight, so why don't I make us a late dinner? Or have you eaten already?
no subject
He has a lot of gay thoughts, is the point.]
Hmm. Not since before ya got home. [He could eat... let's eat. He'll pick up the ripped paper and the other extra scraps that didn't make it into being cards, first. Jae-Ha can put his important school things somewhere else.]
no subject
[Like, do they have to eat?? He doesn't, but who cares. Food tastes good, and it's a human habit that would be strange to stop. So, he'll scoop up his new collection of flashcards and that paper and take it up to his room. Now he can study at night and not google so much.
It only takes a few moments for him to come back down and head for the kitchen. He'll make them some exceptionally pretty shish kabobs.]
