Technically no one in his family had to cook, considering Endeavor's rank in the hero community even before Shouto was born. But the idea of spending time in the kitchen...

Even if he doesn't think he can cook, he likes the sound of that. Being with someone while they do it, trying to help... he doesn't know why. ]

Sure. I don't see why not.

But I think Kido's the better cook between the two of us. Maybe we can ask her for proper lessons.

But he stares for a long moment at the screen, scanning the names that he can see, before he shakes his head. Even if he had his memories, he doubts he'd know any of the artists or songs. ] It's a good way to take a break.

[Izuku remembers everything, and he still doesn't know those songs or artists.]

If you'd like we could all listen to it together?

[That's team bonding, right? Most of his team bonding experiences have been life or death or a matter of school, so down time bonding is a bit odd to him.]

[She just likes her weird music. She would listen to it all the time if she could, but it's rude and she can't hear anyone when she has her headphones going.]

[ Like Shouto has any idea what team bonding experiences should be outside of life or death situations. He slumps down where he's seated against the couch, taking another drink of water as he settles in. ]

That doesn't sound bad. [ ... despite everything, he kind of finds himself liking the idea. ]

[Look, Izuku didn't exactly have that many friends before high school. Bonding has mostly been done during battle- which he's sure Kido won't appreciate.]

We'll pick up some speakers while we're out next time.

I'll find a pair. Music isn't any good if the sound quality is low. [So picky. Even when she's exhausted from the dropping adrenaline.]

It's pretty weird. Shouto usually only eats when he's hungry, but now he's always hungry. At least they're dead and probably won't gain weight...

Even with all the yelling and awkward enthusiasm, he's going to wager he's dealt with worse since he doesn't feel particularly bothered by it. Still awkward, too, but not bothered. They seem to already have a strange bond in their social awkwardness, anyways.

Once he's seated, Shouto shifts so that he can set the other bento down next to him, a neat stack that will probably get messed up before too long. He's not fussed over it. ]

You're still pretty close to the food, so I'd say it's good.

Generally speaking, anyway.

He's not really one for small talk, but it would feel kind of weird to just send him off on his way after helping, right?]

[ They're both awkward and harmless, in their... own weird, entirely opposite ways.

Shouto tilts his head to consider that offer. He could probably wander off and leave him to his food, but he decides there's no harm in it. ]

Sure. [ Beat. ] Hang on. [ And he wanders over to the food, grabbing a few bento of his own.

Not nearly as many, meaning it's easier to carry, but he. Does come back to sit with him, so. ]

[Oh, he took the offer! Neat!

Does that mean they'll have to engage in some kind of extended conversation? At least he doesn't seem like the type to really chase after small talk, so maybe it won't be so bad.

While Shouto's gone, Raichi sets up his plethora of lunch options and wastes no time in picking the first one to dig into. By the time the other returns, Raichi's got a pretty sizable bite of food in his mouth.]

What did you find? [Food is always easy enough to chat about if silence does need to be filled, right? Totally.]
