[The girl follows after Honoka as quickly as she can, but two buckets is proving to be heavier than she was expecting.]

Ahhhh, keep going! I'll be there soon!

A-Are you sure? Are you okay?

[She hesitates when she sees the girl not keeping up with her.]

[ammyterasu]

[She nods, resolutely.]

Don't worry... about me!

[Puff puff puff.]

[Eeh... she's a little worried, but if she says she can do it, Honoka'll believe her.

For now she'll go and keep running between the river and the trees, dumping water on the trees.]

[The girl winds up falling pretty far behind. In fact, Honoka might not even see her again unless she goes looking for her.]

[She doubles back and... doesn't see the girl on her way to the river.

The place is on fire. So she can't help looking for her.]

[ammyterasu]

[Then Honoka would find the girl sometime after the fire has died down, looking pretty sad and glowing softly in the darkness.]

[She pauses for a moment, before approaching her.]

Um... Are you hurt? Is there anything I can do...?

[ammyterasu]

[The girl looks up, her eyes a little glazed for a moment before she smiles in recognition.]

I'm fine, thank you. I'm glad you made it out okay.

[Honoka smiles back, as reassuring as she can manage.]

I'm glad. I didn't see you again after trying to put out the fires...

[She shakes her head softly.]

I met all sorts of different people. They were all working so hard to help.

I don't think anybody would want something like this to happen. Of course people'll want to help.

[ Maybe he'd followed an instinct to say her full name and turn her back. Whether he likes it or not, they did that weird ritual just now and... look, hell if he knew. His instincts as a hero-in-training, dulled as they are by the slowly-fading intoxication, are flawless.

He holds her bridal-style for a few seconds before dropping her. Again. ]

It's been a long day of being yelled at and turned into a microphone and being thrown and dropped and a girl can only take so much of this!]

There's no reason to cry! It's not like this sort of thing doesn't happen! People get kidnapped all the time, they get rescued, everyone has superpowers, nothing is even the least bit unusual except... developing your Quirk too late and not knowing how to use it, and acting like you're from a place where this sort of thing isn't ordinary, and you've just been in a car accident.

He isn't feeling pity. Maybe sympathy? Maybe...

Her eyes look like they're asking him to help her. ]

[ He doesn't look her in the eyes for this because the tears will remind him of Izuku and he'll get angry, or they'll remind him of his own and that's much worse, but he does talk quietly. That's an improvement, sorta. Not really. ]

I can't turn into anything, so you'll have trouble dropping me, but I'll let you try to kick me over once so we're even.

[There are still definitely tears, but she's trying very hard to wipe them away, even as frustrating as today has been.

She sniffles as she considers kicking him over, but she... really doesn't think it's going to help much.]
