[ Well, he didn't mean to imply that, but there it is. Not that he's aware of it in this state. ]

Ahhh, and this after I gave it back to him and everything... Please ask him for it next time you see him. He won't have lost it.

[ At least he found his lighter while complaining, halfhearted as that was. Small victories. ]

[ He's feeling generous today. ]

[ It's not like he holds on to them long anyway. The lifespan of a lighter once Gojyo picks it up is usually less than a week. At least this way he knows it's being used, instead of sun bleaching on the side of a dirt road somewhere in the middle of nowhere. ]

Tell him he owes me a pack of smokes for it though. S'only fair.

[ In all honesty, Gojyo's lighter has probably survived this long thanks to not being used. ]

Okay. I'll tell him.

[ And he'll complain, probably... Well, that's just the way things are. Tenpou lights his cigarette, then leans back slightly, with his free hand on the grass behind him, to look up at the sky. He exhales the smoke, silent for a moment there while he takes in the view. ]

. . . I see what you meant. The sunset is really pretty today.

[ Gojyo watches Tenpou's profile out of the corner of his eye, the orange light highlighting all the ways he's not like Hakkai at all. He's too new-looking, Gojyo tries telling himself, too scruffy in a thousand little ways on top of that. But if he lets his vision go just the slightest bit unfocused, it's really like he's sitting with Hakkai. Or maybe Hakkai's older twin.

Shit. Don't think about Hakkai's older twin. ]

Yeah.

[ He chews on his filter for awhile, brain going helpfully blank as the reek of the cherry blossoms wipes all his worries away. ]

...So which one of us is prettier?

Hmm. Between you and Kenren? Or am I somehow too drunk to follow this conversation...?

[ He doesn't reply right away, but he smiles a little before speaking. ]

Ah, well. If this is about you two, my answer is neither. I don't think you're pretty.
