Oh.

[ He's snorts softly and then stands there for a moment awkwardly. He finally takes a seat on the ground, as it feels a little weird. ]

They had a picnic here when I first arrived, too.

[She would have gotten up again after the world stopped spinning, but there are no complaints to him joining her. It's nicer with all the flowers around them.]

Have you been here very long?

[He shouldn't have been since she'd just left him at home, but things were confusing. After all, he didn't look the same as she remembered - and it hadn't been that dark.]

...about a month.

[ It feels longer, but he does understand that time moves differently here than it does on the Near Shore. Maybe he's time-lagged? He's never thought about it before. ]

That was right after the poisoned chocolates.

[ As he recalls, he told Tot the first time they met about not trusting the food. ]

[She remembers him telling her about that - no taking candy from people she doesn't know. Although, she did eat some of the food here at the picnic...]

That's not very long.

[Long enough to be weird, though, even to her.]

But that means you know more about things than those of us who just arrived.

[ This time, it seems like the food is fine. At least, Nagi hasn't seen anyone fall sick or get blighted as a result. Though he himself hasn't taken a bite of anything here, regardless. ]

I guess. Finding out anything useful has been a little ... difficult. [ He finds it odd that he's even admitting as much. But he likes talking to Tot. He's not sure why. ]

Don't they want to share?

[That seems really strange. If they were there to help out, then they needed to know what was going on. Then again, it's not like she needed to be told much. Most of the time it was what to do and to whom.]

Not really, [ he says, somewhat tightly. Nagi knows he's very good at infiltrating and gathering intel, so he finds this lack of progress frustrating. ]

I suppose they want to keep us in line. It's better for them if we know less. [ Plus, he suspects they don't really know much, either. ]

[papas_bunnydoll]

It doesn't sound like they expect much help then, does it?

[They can't really do anything if they don't know what they're doing - even she knows that.]

We'll just have to do our best with whatever it is, though.

[ Nagi glances at her. She might talk like a little girl, but he doesn't think she is as immature as she sounds. He nods. ]

So what do you want to do...?

[ She spoke about her papa once. It must mean she has some people to go back to. Or is she resigned to staying here? ]

[papas_bunnydoll]

[That's the question isn't it?]

Tot's supposed to be getting revenge for Papa and Neu, but... I don't mind it here. [As long as Nagi was there. And Ken, Ken's pretty okay as far as she's concerned. But mainly Nagi.

She blushes for a moment while smiling at him, then quickly giggles.]

And maybe Tot can find some other way to get her revenge!

Revenge...?

[ So she wants to kill someone? (For some reason, this seems to be the natural progression of Nagi's thoughts when someone talks about 'revenge.' He doesn't think this is weird.

Though, her smile throws him off a little bit and he finds himself feeling a little warm in the face. ]

What kind of revenge?

[Nagi was going to learn it was quite possible to talk about killing someone while smiling. This particular smile was more his fault than anything else, however.]

Hel had everything planned, but she's not here. Tot will just have to figure something else out.

[ It's not really the juxtaposition of death and smiles. It's the unexpectedness of it on her face. He's seen people smile before and it didn't have the same effect on him. ]

...do you need any help?

[She's honestly happy he's offering.]

That's nice of you, but it's Tot's responsibility. She just doesn't have any weapons at the moment.

[Other than Ken. Would it be wrong to attack another god with a Siberian tiger who used to be his best friend?

She also doesn't have a plan, a clue, or a chance but... details.]

[ On the one hand, he has no idea what sort of revenge or plan Tot has. It could possibly have some unforeseen consequences if he got involved. On the other hand, he still wants to help. It's a little strange. ]

I can get you weapons.

[papas_bunnydoll]

[Considering she's taken the warnings about telling the shinki anything about their past to heart, Tot doesn't want to get him involved. But, using him to get a new weapon wouldn't be a bad thing, right?]

Really? Tot could use a new parasol.

[That probably doesn't sound like much of a weapon, but then he hadn't asked for details.]

[ Oddly enough, this doesn't exactly raise an eyebrow. Maybe Nagi's aware of weapons that don't look like weapons. Like cane swords. ]

What kind of a parasol? [ This might have to be a custom order ... ]

[Why would it raise any questions? It's a perfectly good weapon as far as she's concerned with or without the blade.]

It's one for rain or the sun. Tot used it to fight with as well, it had a pointy blade for sticking people.

[This is a normal conversation, right?]

[ Of course this is normal. Nagi thinks about this for a moment. A parasol with a retractable blade might take a little while to commission, but he can probably find someone. ]

What color?

[papas_bunnydoll]

Tot's other one was yellow, but any would be okay.

[She's not going to be picky.]

[cyberfly]

I'll get you one.

[ He smiles briefly. ]

[papas_bunnydoll]

Really?

[With a happy squeal, and promptly forgetting everything else, she pounces giving Nagi a hug.]

[cyberfly]

[ He startles, freezing up for a moment when she throws her arms around him. Nagi's not used to being touched, and he was certainly not expecting to be. And yet, his first instinct to be repulsed doesn't kick in. He blushes, instead. ]

Um. Sure. [ He mumbles awkwardly. ]

[papas_bunnydoll]

[Oops, maybe she shouldn't have done that, but she was just so excited.]

That's the nicest thing anyone's done for Tot in a long time.

[ That's okay, he was just surprised! And kind of embarrassed. But in a good way. ]

Well, I haven't ... done it yet. [ But he will, he promises. ]
