Oh, I wouldn't say it's better. I wish I could win them over with something like a tray of sweets.

[Not that he hasn't also tried cute things like that. Got to cover all the bases, after all.]

But winning a long, hard battle battle that once seemed hopeless has a satisfaction all its own, don't you think?
