Yeah, I'm pretty sure most people do. But hey, you're not the first person I've talked to who came from too early for that shit, so what do I know.

[There could be far more people here from times that far back than he knows of. He doesn't usually ask unless it comes up really obviously in conversation.

Obviously Elise has her priorities straight, though, and Davesprite gives her a chill, approving finger-point.]

Best thing to learn about. Pretty sure you have to download the games first on these things, but that takes like five seconds of dedicated paying attention to learn.

Download? How do I do that?

[She fishes her phone out of her pocket and starts it up. She's mastered the basics at least.]

Can you show me?

[Curling around on his tail so he can see her screen, Davesprite sweeps through the menu with one taloned finger until he finds whatever app store the heavenly operating system uses and taps it.]

So technically speaking you can just download shit through your normal browser if it's pictures or whatever, but games you need to jump through a couple more pointless shitty hoops because phone companies hate fun. [Selecting the "games" section of the store, he spreads his hand as if having done a magic trick as a screen full of popular game apps pops up.]

Pick one, and it's pretty straightforward from here. Usually there's a download button somewhere, and most of the popular shit is at least part free unless you consider getting blasted with obnoxious advertisement a cost.
lilys_poise: (You've got the right idea.)

[Elise listens intently. It's amazing how much focus she can put into things when they really matter. Like games. Games are totally serious business.]

I don't mind the advertisements. But which games should I get? Any suggestions?

Phone isn't really my game platform of choice, but at least if you stick to what's marked popular you've got an unwritten guarantee that the worst it'll be is entertainingly bad enough to have convinced several thousand other people to make the same mistake.

[Probably not reassuring, but given the passion with which Davesprite talks about "entertainingly bad", he considers it a good thing.]
