It is rather confusing, especially since our [rank? Status?] positions makes it difficult for us to obtain any sort of information. [Shinkis are put into difficult positions already; the fact that their memories are wiped clean-

It's confusing because why would it matter? Yet, no one - not a god - is willing to delve deeper into the topic.]

Have you tried? [ He knows most shinki find this uncomfortable. But he also knows that some of them have successfully regained memories without any consequences. ]

No. But ... I guess I never felt like I should.

[ Though ... how hard can it be? He knows his own name, so all it would take is an internet search, right? Though given how guarded he feels about his own privacy, he has a feeling he wouldn't be able to find anything, even if he tried. ]

Not that you'd know if they're from your past life or not. [Unless they're a god, but Izumo doubts it.

Anonymity seems to be a trend here.]

Best to simple move along with the life we have now.

[ If anyone is from Nagi's past, they haven't said anything yet. That's probably for the best. ]

Yeah. Though, I've heard of people regaining memories spontaneously. Maybe it's because the new shinki are somehow defective.

Do you think all of the new shinki are defective in some way?

If you compare us to the original ones, then maybe.

[ He doesn't really mean it in a judgmental manner. But clearly the newer shinki aren't operating in the manner that the old guard expects. He can look upon their condition very coolly. It's not like he has any delusions about what they are meant to be. ]

It'll take some more time to grow accustomed to all of this.]

For now, seems more of a good idea to keep an eye out for what'll happen then.

[ Keeping an eye out is what Nagi's been doing, but the progress he's had (or lack thereof) has been frustratingly slow. ]
